Charlotte, NC. In the NFASL Game of the Week 12 The NFC South was in primetime for the Entire Football world to see. The New Orleans Saints took on the Carolina Panthers in what many thought could be a preview of the NFC Championship Game. When the Smoke Settled it was Nate St. Clair and the New Orleans Saints showing their dominance defeating Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers by a score of 34-17. Nate St. Clair out Played the all pro throwing for 300 yards, and 33 touchdowns in the Win. The Saints Offense has been clicking on all cylinders lately, which spells bad news for the the Rest of the League. The Saints Defense sacked Cam NEwton 3 times, and intercepted him 3 times. They also held Christian McCaffrey to 48 yards, a season low. With the Saints Defense matching their offense, the Saints are once again teh Favorites to win this years Super Bowl.

The Saints will look to clinch their division, and they are a few wins away from doing just that. ESPNEWS Race for the Playoffs AFC
ESPN Breaking News The NFASL post Season is fast approaching, which means the NFASL Draft is just around the corner. Make sure you stay up to date with all the Leagues information on the website in the coming weeks.

On this edition of ESPNEWS We will focus in on the NFC Race for the Playoffs. The NFC is Top heavy this year with several Teams only having one loss in week 13 of the season. As it stands right now no team has clinched their division but we are a mere few weeks awa from that. The New Orleans Saints is the Divisions top team being the only team with 6 home wins, and best point differential. The Saints have a 9-1 record, but are not the only team that boasts such a claim. The New York Giants, and the Arizona Cardinals also have identical records. With those teams running away with their respective Divisions the action is truly in the Wild Card Round. The Carolina Panthers, and Dallas Cowboys are in control of those spots right now, however the San Francisco 49ers, Washington Redskins, Detroit Lions, and Green Bay Packers are all hoping one, or both of those teams slip up no matter how unlikely. In any regard lets take a look at the Divisions in the NFC, and see where a few teams stand..

NFC West:

  • Arizona Cardinals 9-1 Record, key remaining games: Packers, Cowboys, Rams, Lions, Jaguars, Seahawks
  • San Francisco 49ers 6-4 Record, key remaining games: Seahawks, Titans, Lions, Rams, Colts, Rams

Overview: The Arizona Cardinals all but wrapped up this Division with a blowout win over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 11. That win gave the Cardinals a 3 game lead over the Defending Super Bowl Champions, and have many wondering if the Niners defense of their title will end before the playoffs begin. The Niners have the easiest schedule hands down heading into the remaining games of the season. The Niners have lost 3 in a row, and their mojo. Also with the Los Angeles Rams owner The_Vin_360 back he will be looking to end the playoff chances in straight upset fashion. The Cardinals are in a good position to win their first NFC West title under the coaching prowess of QB11KC. The Cardinals Week 12 game vs the Packers will go a long way toward sewing up the Division.

NFC North:

  • Chicago Bears 8-2 Record, key remaining games: Lions, Falcons, Ravens, Browns, Steelers, Packers
  • Green Bay Packers 5-4 Record, key remaining games: Lions, Cardinals, Saints, Bengals, Giants, Ravens, Bears
  • Detroit Lions 4-5 Record, key remaining games: Packers, Bears, Vikings, 49ers, Cardinals, Bengals, Ravens

Overview: The NFC North is being lead by three games by the Chicago Bears who will be looking to kick in the door of the playoffs after a disappointing season a year ago. They can pretty much end the Lions Season with a win over them next week, and they take on the Green Bay Packers in week 17. The Packers by far have one of the most difficult schedules ahead as they take on the Lions, Cardinals, Giants, and Ravens, and Saints...... If the Packers make the playoffs with that schedule they will definitely be the favorite to win it all. The Detroit Lions are 4-5, and are in must win game in week 11 against the Packers. Lamar jackson and the Lions offense has looked out of sorts as of late, and will need to get things together before the season slips completely through their fingers.

NFC South:

  • New Orleans Saints 9-1 Key remaining games: Panthers, Packers, Giants, Dolphins, Cowboys, Falcons
  • Carolina Panthers 8-2 Key remaining games: Saints, Rams, Bills, Buccaneers, Falcons, Cowboys

Overview: The New Orleans Saints has a 1 game lead over the Carolina Panthers in the NFC South, and they will play a battle in week 12 that will be must see TV. The Saints have looked dominant, and are looking to hang their second title in 3 years. The Panthers are looking to make the playoffs for the first time in 3 seasons, and winning the South will secure that spot. if the Panthers can win in week 12 they a more than good chance at doing just that. The Saints have the tougher of two schedules as they play the Packers, Giants, and Cowboys.

NFC East:

  • New York Giants 9-1 Record, key remaining games: Buccaneers, Redskins, Saints, Packers, Eagles, Chargers
  • Dallas Cowboys 7-3 Record, key remaining games: Eagles, Cardinals, Buccaneers, Redskins, Saints, Panthers
  • Washington Redskins 5-5 Record, key remaining games: Rams, Giants, Falcons, Cowboys, Chargers, Buccaneers

Overview: The New York Giants lead the East by two games, and has been mauling the competition in the East with a 4-0 divisional record. With the Leagues MVP, and Odell Beckham Jr tearing up secondaries it's no wonder. The Giants also have the distinction of having the easiest schedule down the stretch as they take on the Buccaneers, Eagles, and Chargers. The Dallas Cowboys at 7-3 will be trying like hell to make the playoffs, but most likely through the Wildcard round. They have a murderers row down the stretch as they take on the Saints, Cardinals, Redskins, Panthers, and Saints. No easy task. The Washington Redskins at 5-5 pretty much have to win every game down the stretch, and still hope for teams to lose in front of him. Good thing however is the Redskins will have a chance to make some hay in the Division as they still have games against the Cowboys, and Giants.

Playoff Seeding as of now:

  • New Orleans Saints 9-1
  • New York Giants 9-1
  • Arizona Cardinals 9-1
  • Chicago Bears 8-2
  • Carolina Panthers 7-2 (Wildcard)
  • Dallas Cowboys 7-2 (Wildcard)

ESPNEWS

ESPN Breaking News Kornbread305 will be taking over the Miami Dolphins. He will have his work cut out for him in the AFC East!

On this edition of ESPNEWS It's Week 8, the 1/2 mark of the Season and it's time to look at what's going on in the NFASL. With Major changes this year to personell, and major moves in terms of coaches going from one team to another things could not be more interesting. The league is striving for 5 which means you have to take care of your cap. The 5th season will be a banner year the 30th season of the NFASL! That's next season however, lets see what's going on here. At the Half way point teams are starting to separate themselves with a few teams showing they are the creme of the Crop. Some of those teams are of course the Defending Super Bowl Champions San Francisco 49ers, The Cleveland Browns, the New Orleans Saints, The New England Patriots, and the Dallas Cowboys just to name a few. Of course for every  yin, there is a Yang as there are more than a few bottom feeders who are still trying to figure things out. TheSome of those teams are the Philadelphia Eagles, Minnesota Vikings, Miami Dolphins, and the Los Angeles Rams, all winless and pretty much hopeless at least for this season. These Teams will have to get into the War Room and work on their draft boards, and Free agency to make sure they don't have a season like this again in the future!

Lets take a look at the Conferences in the NFASL, and see how things are shaking out.

    AFC North

  • Cleveland Browns 7-0
  • Baltimore Ravens 4-4
  • Cincinatti Bengals 2-5
  • Pittsburgh Steelers 1-5

AFC South

  • Jacksonville Jaguars 5-3
  • Indianapolis Colts 4-3
  • Tennessee Titans 3-4
  • Houston Texans 3-4

AFC East

  • New England Patriots 5-2
  • Buffalo Bills 5-2
  • New York Jets 2-4
  • Miami Dolphins 0-8

AFC West

  • Kansas City Chiefs 6-1
  • Oakland Raiders 5-2
  • Denver Broncos 3-4
  • San Diego Chargers 2-5

In the AFC the only undefeated team in the NFASL are the Cleveland Browns, and would be #1 in the Power Rankings. The Browns are still reeling from their Super Bowl XXVIII loss and they have vowed not to lose another one. The Browns play in the North, and have a 3 game lead over their closest competition the Baltimore Ravens. The other Dominant Team in the AFC are the 6-1 Kansas City Chiefs who have rebuilt their entire offensive line, and are a team to be reckoned with. With the Chiefs taking control in the West, the the Raiders are not too happy about that, sparking that rivalry anew. The AFC South is not as close as it has been in recent seasons, but that could change at the drop of a hat. As it stands right now the Jacksonville Jaguars lead the Division but only by one game. The AFC East is one once again a 2 team race with the New England Patriots, battling againsthte Buffalo Bills in what should go all the way down to the wire as usual. The AFC has fallen way behind in Super Bowls, and in order to get their mojo back winning this year is paramount.

NFC South

  • New Orleans Saints 6-1
  • Carolina Panthers 5-2
  • Atlanta Falcons 3-4
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers 1-5

NFC North

  • Chicago Bears 6-2
  • Detroit Lions 4-4
  • Green Bay Packers 3-4
  • Minnesota Vikings 0-8

NFC East

  • Dallas Cowboys 6-1
  • New York Giants 6-1
  • Washington Redskins 3-4
  • Philadelphia Eagles 0-7

NFC West

  • San Francisco 49ers 6-1
  • Arizona Cardinals 5-1
  • Seattle Seahawks 2-5
  • Los Angeles Rams 0-6

In the NFC this conference is home of the Defending Super Champions the San Francisco 49ers, and they look like they are apt to win it again. Their offense hasn't been as explosive this year, but their Defense is picking up the slack. They play in the West, with the Arizona Cardinals being their cloesest competition. However they can't be too serious until they finally get over the hump that is the Niners. In the South the Saints have the best record in the conference, tied with the Niners that is. However have a slight lead in points scored. They also don't look as dominant however they are biding their time waiting on the Postseason. The Carolina Panthers have made a move this season, and will be looking to make the playoffs first time in 3 seasons. In the NFC East the Dallas Cowboys have a 1 game lead over the New York Giants but that could change this week as they play a primetime match up. The Chicago Bears with a new power Run offense is running away with the North as Leveon Bell is looking to make a MVP Bid. The Detroit Lions with Lamar Jackson has become a dangerous team, but until they learn to throw the ball they will not be ateam to be taken seriously. Look for the Green Bay Packers to overtake them.

..

Team Statistics: In the NFL the teams with the best stats normally have the best seasons. This year is no different. It takes every aspect of a team to win games, and while you can have one do well and not the other  over a full season it will show and prove in your final win loss record. (6-1) @ (5-1)

Preview: Game of week!!! Rivalry Game!!!! The Dallas Cowboys have a 1 game lead over the New York Giants due to the Giants having an early Bye Week. The Giants at home are formidable, and the Cowboys will have their hands full dealing with SaQoun Barkeley, and the explosive Giants offense. The Cowboys Ezekiel Elliott should be able to match Barkley yard for yard however. This game should come down to turnover differential!

 (5-2)      @          (0-7)

Preview: Rivalry Game!!! this NFC North Game will see the Minnesota Vikings take on the Chicago Bears who are coming off of a embarrassing loss. Mitchell Trubisky will look to get back on track after throwing 6 interceptions a week ago n.

 (0-6)      @           (4-2)

Preview: The Carolina Panthers are desperately trying to make the playoffs this season, and will look to secure this win like a squirrell secures it's nuts for the long winter. Panthers win this one easily.

 (2-4)       @           (3-4)

Preview: Rivalry Game!!!!! The Bengals will take on their Division rival the Baltimore Ravens who at 3-4, but missed two games thanks to real life issues will be hard to beat at home. Charm city builds them tough, and the Bengals will have to take special care of the ball if they hope to win.

 (1-5)       @           (6-1)

Preview: Rivalry Game!!! The Saints are riding high after a 20-10 win over the Buffalo Bills in week 7. They overlooked the Redskins in week 6, so don't expect them to make that mistake twice. Saints win in a blowout!

(0-7)       @           (4-3)

Preview: The Dolphins has not figured out the riddle of the NFASL as of yet, and they are given another piece to the puzzle this week as they take on the Jaguars. The Jaguars Defense will be too much for the Dolphins dropping their record to 0-8.

 (2-4)       @           (4-2)

Preview: Rivalry Game!!!!! Rivalry Week continues as the Colts take on the Texans in a game that the Texans desperately need. The Texans won the Division a year ago, but by a slight marginm. They will need some of that mojo again as a 2-5 start could signal the end.

(2-4)       @           (4-3)
Preview: The Washington Redskins Desperately need this game if they expect to get back into the Playoff Race. However the Lions looked like they have arrived with a big time win over the Steelers in week 7. No Easy games in the NFASL.

(4-2)       @           (2-4)
Preview: Rivalry Game!!!! This AFC West match up is apt to go either way, as these two teams play each other tooth and nail. The Raiders however a week ago was clicking on all cylinders and will look to bring some of that offense with them to this game!

(2-4)       @           (1-5)
Preview: For a week the New York Jets looked like the team I thought they would before the season started destroying the Chargers 40-7. they take on a Steelers team at 1-5 and their season over before it started a high draft pick is in their future!

(3-4)       @           (5-1)
Preview: The Falcons are having a mediocre year as their headcoach is apt to have. They will be taking on a Cardinals team that is flying high, excuse the pun after a blowout victory over the Bears a week ago!

(2-4)       @           (5-1)
Preview: The Tennessee Titans need this game a whole lot more than the Patriots, and for that Reason I will pick the Titans to show up with the upset victory. However the Patriots are never to be taken lightly so if they expect to win they will need a solid gold Gameplan. Did you get the reference?.

(2-5)       @           (0-6)
Preview: Rivalry Game!!! The Los Angeles Rams real world issues have stopped him from playing his games this year so far, is this the week VIN returns? The Seahawks certainly hope not!

(5-1) @ (5-1)

Preview: Game of week!!! This could very well be a preview of Super Bowl XXIV as these are two of the best teams in the league. The Saints are licking their wounds after overlooking the Redskins in week 6, a trap game if I ever saw one. They ill refocus at home against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills!

 (2-3)      @          (1-4)

Preview: The Chargers were unable to play their week 6 game which in turn gave them an auto loss. They will now take on the New York Jets who finally got off the snide winning their first game of the season.

 (0-6)      @           (0-5)

Preview: The Minnesota Vikings have a new owner, and will look to show the NFASL what he can do. This league is not for the weak minded, so if you think you can come in here without gameplanning you will surely be mistaken.

 (3-3)       @           (5-1)

Preview: The Dallas Cowboys will be looking to take a 1 game lead in the NFC East with a win over the Falcons. The Giants are on a bye, so expect maximum effort in the House that Jerry Built.

 (0-5)       @           (5-1)

Preview: Melblaze, on the schedule has meant auto win for several decades now. The Chiefs are 5-1 and has one of the leagues most explosive offenses. This will spell disaster for Eagles fans everywhere!

(3-3)       @           (2-3)

Preview: Rivalry Game!! The AFC South looks like it's going down to the last week of the season again. These two teams know each other well, and will be hard pressed to pull out something new that neither has seen before.

 (3-3)       @           (6-0)

Preview: The Packers have not looked like their dominant selves as of late, and will have to get back their modjo if they expect to beat the undefeated Browns in the Dog Pound!.

(4-1)       @           (0-6)
Preview: Rivalry Game!!!!! The Dolphins are 0-6 but are so close to winning they can taste it. They will be facing their conference Rival the Patriots, a team that has mopped the floor with them recently.

(5-1)       @           (2-4)
Preview: Rivalry Game!!!! On Paper this looks like a easy win for the Niners but the Seahawks just might have started to figure it out. Contain Earlzo, and don't turn the ball over is the formula for defeating the Niners!

(5-1)       @           (4-1)
Preview: This conference game could very well be a preview of the NFC Title game with both these teams having two of the best offenses in the league. Kyler Murray, Mitchell Trubisky, Leveon Bell, and Joe Mixon expect points to go up in spades this game!

(3-3)       @           (3-2)
Preview: Rivalry Game!!!! This AFC West Match up is one of the weeks best as the Broncos are starting to make a name for themselves. If they can pull out the win in the black hole They will no longer be denied as a power house in the west!

(0-5)       @           (3-2)
Preview: The Rams are 0-5, and from what I can tell an absentee landlord. The Colts have a small lead in the South, and would love to extend it with a win here.

(2-4)       @           (2-3)
Preview: Bad news for the Texans the Ravens owner Tommanowns is back on the weekend to play his game. The Ravens will look to get back into it as they need this win to stay relevant in the AFC.

(1-4)       @           (3-3)
Preview: The Lions New headcoach has taken their offense back to the stone age passing for a league worst 49 yards a week ago. It's hard to win this day and age playing that way. Look for the Steelers to win this one easily on the road.

(4-1) @ (2-2)

Preview: Game of week!!! These two teams don't have much history, but it's high time they created some. THe Cowboys are looking like a team to be reckoned with, whereas the Chargers are looking to make amends for last seasons travesty!

 (0-5)      @          (0-4)

Preview: Rivalry Game!!!!! This AFC East match up doesn't have much intrigue as both these teams are winless. However the saying goes the Journey of a thousand miles begins with one step!!.

 (2-3)      @           (5-0)

Preview: Rivalry Game!!! The Ravens vs Browns has been known to present all time classics. They get their two games out of the way early this season, with the Browns winning the first one easily. Can the Ravens Draw even?

 (5-0)       @           (1-4)

Preview: The New Orleans Saints Travel to the Nations Capital to take on the Washington Redskins. The Saints however are undefeated, but must not take the Skins lightly. at 1-4, but lost their last two games by a margin of 6 points.

 (2-3)       @           (2-2)

Preview: Both these teams are getting their footing on the season, and have shown well at least so far. Look for this match up to showcase plenty of big plays on both sides. I give a slight nod to the Bengals on the road!

(1-3)       @           (4-1)

Preview: The Kansas City Chiefs did not fair well in their first Primetime game of the season, and will look to get back on track against a 1 win Steeelers Team.

 (2-3)       @           (0-4)

Preview: The Broncos Travel to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles their second NFC East opponent in as many weeks. They were able to outlast the Redskins in overtime last week, and should little resistance vs the Eagles.

(0-4)       @           (1-4)
Preview: Rivalry Game!!!!! The Seattle Seahawks at 1-4 are riding high after their hardwork, and dedication finally paid off with their first win of the season against the Pakcers. They will now look to make it 2 in a row as they take on the Rams, who at 0-4 have finally seen their wheels fall off.

(1-3)       @           (3-2)
Preview: Rivalry Game!!!! This AFC South Match up will pit the high flying offenses of the Texans, and Jaguars against one another. They TExans have stumbled out of the gate this season, and will look to turn it around. Not an easy task in Florida however!

(4-1)       @           (3-2)
Preview: Rivalry Game!!!!! This NFC North Match up is one of the weeks best. The Packers took the Seattle Seahawks lightly last week and paid the ultimate sacrifice for it. They will do no such thing this week as the New look bears with Leveon Bell leading the way is visiting!

(3-1)       @           (4-0)
Preview: The Defending Super Bowl Champs San Francisco 49ers look just as formidable as they did last season. They take on the Vikings whose owner staved off execution at least for another week. You can't be a high Maintenance member, in a low maintenance League.

(4-1) @ (4-1)

Preview: Game of the Week! Two of the more senior members squared off in this match up with the Giants making short work of the Kansas City Chiefs.  The Chiefs have been known to shrink in the big games, and this one was no different!

 (1-3)      @          (2-2)

Preview: Rivalry Game!!!!! The Ravens have hit a brick wall this season as a 1-3 start might criple most users. However when you have 4 titles under your belt you can never truly count them out. The Bengals better be prepared for a war!!.

 (0-4)      @           (3-1)

Preview: The Seattle Seahawks are wondering what is going a wrong, and are eagerly looking for answers. Problem is the Packers are Chinese math, and the Seahawks are still struggling with Pre Algebra. Packers in a blowout!

 (0-4)       @           (0-3)

Preview: These two teams without a win between them will be doing anything to get that monkey off their backs. The Vikings have the leagues third lowest scoring offense, and will need to get into more than 1 formation if they expect that to change.

 (0-3)       @           (2-2)

Preview: The Jets will travel to Carolina to take on the Panthers at home. A 0-4 start for the Jets has made my early season prediction null, but never count them out. The Panthers at 2-2 need this game to stay relevant in a Packed NFC South!

(3-1)       @           (4-0)

Preview: Rivarly Game!!!! The Cardinals have taken on a talk softly, and carry a big stick mentality. The Niners have been their fiercest competition so far, and the Cardinals will once again see where they stand.

 (3-1)       @           (0-4)

Preview: This could easily be a blood bath that pushes the Buccaneers to the edge. Figuring out your playstyle is made against the best teams, not the worst. If what you're doing isn't working, do something else.

 (1-3)       @           (1-3)

Preview: These two franchises had designs for bigger and better things this season, however 1-3 starts are the bane to both these owners. Whoever loses this game may as well set their draft boards!

(1-2)       @           (0-4)
Preview: The Titans have the luxury of being in the AFC South where every team is doing poorly. However the Dolphins with the leagues second lowest scoring offense to only the Eagles will be looking to just score.

(2-2)       @           (0-3)
Preview: When Melblaze is on your schedule, and you have problems scoring you know things are going to be going on the up and up. Melblaze hasn't figured out the riddle yet, and is still looking for answers.

(3-1)       @           (4-0)
Preview: The Lions did not show well in their primetime game, but will get another change to prove they belong among the elite. They take on the undefeated Browns with one of the best units in football this week. Win this game and the Lions will force their way into the conversation!
