NFASL Madden 22 Season II Preview AFC

The NFASL is entering it's second season on Madden 21. With the AFC losing Super Bowl XXXVII changes were to be expected, and a change is what we did get. The AFC Representative the Pittsburgh Steelers no longer has Big Ben Roethlisberger throwing passes, but 3rd year player out of Ohio State Dwayne Haskins. Haskins was acquired in a Week 2 trade with The Washington Football Team, so his development should improve behind a dominant O-Line, and several big time pass catchers. The AFC Saw Several players retire most notably being Campbell, Richie Incognito, Philip Rivers, & Cameron Wake. There were also major trades with Stephon Gilmore being shipped to the Falcons, J.C. Jackson, and Joe Tuney taking up residence in the Chicago, Davante Parker Going to the Ravens, Richard Sherman now intercepting passes in Las Vegas Nevada for the Raiders , instead of Santa Clara California for the Niners. In any regard lets preview the AFC .

AFC North:

Pittsburgh Steelers 11-5 Headcoach Hac_3443 (Division Winner)

The Pittsburgh Steelers won the AFC North which propelled this team through the playoffs having one of the best playoff runs in league memory defeating the Baltimore Ravens, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the 16-0 perfect New England Patriots. Unfortunately they came up 2 points shy in the Super Bowl falling 24-22 to the Green Bay Packers. The Steelers then made several changes to their team with the most notable being the change at Quarterback which saw them bring in Dwayne Haskins from the Washington Football Team. Haskins will be tasked with being the Quarterback of the future, however he must win right now.

Notable Players:

  • Minkah Fitzpatrick
  • JuJu Smith-Schuster
  • Cameron Heyward
  • T.J. Watt
  • Stephon Tuitt

Baltimore Ravens 10-6 Headcoach Tommanowns (Wildcard)

As one of the premiere franchises in the NFASL the Ravens were none to pleased to see their Division rival the Steelers win the Division, but took solace in watching them come up Short in Super Bowl XXXVII. With Lamar Jackson, Marquise Brown, and J.K. Dobbins the Ravens have one of the Youngest most explosive teams in the League. Not to mention a 6 time Super Bowl winning coach in Tommanowns at the Helm the Ravens should be one of the teams to keep an eye for all season long.

Notable Players:

  • Lamar Jackson
  • Marlon Humphrey
  • Marquise Brown
  • Marcus Peters
  • Justin Tucker  (Best Kicker)

Cincinatti Bengals 9-7 Headcoach Bgreat238 (Wildcard)

The Cincinatti Bengals Joe Burrows #1 overall a year ago, and in that same season made the Playoffs bringing in a wildcard spot. That's a scuccess by any metric, and one that did not go unnoticed by the rest of the league. They also managed in that same year to geta steal in the Draft by the name of Akeem Davis-Gaither who just so happened to win Defensive Rookie of the year. They added Evan Engram in the Off-season, and feel as though their team is ready to compete for the Championship. I cannot disagree.

Notable Players:

  • Joe Mixon
  • Evan Engram
  • Joe Burrow
  • John Ross III
  • Akeem Davis-Gaither (Defensive Rookie of the Year)

Cleveland Browns 5-11 Headcoach ChiefHawker3

The Browns finished the season 5-11, and with a team that stacks up against some of the leagues best in terms of talent that record should not be duplicated again. With Myles Garrett garnering best defensive lineman, the Browns may lean more heavily on a run game that highlights Nick Chubb, utilizing Playaction to Odell Beckham Jr. With the Loss of Jarvis Landry Teams are more apt to Double Beckham. Expect a surge in wins for the Team from Ohio, they have the talent, they just have to put it together.

Notable Players:

  • Myles Garrett (Best Defensive Lineman)
  • Nick Chubb
  • Odell Beckham Jr
  • Austin Hooper
  • Denzel Ward

AFC West:

Kansas City Chiefs 11-5 Headcoach CapnClutchKC (Division Winner)

The Kansas City Chiefs are lead by the Face of the League Patrick Mahomes, and last season was no different. Mahomes put up stellar numbers a year ago, and will look to do the same thing this year. With a team that has speed at every position that features Tyreek Hill, and Mecole hardman the Chiefs are a rare team that you can't get ready for. They added Derrius Guice in the in the Offseason to give them a tough yards back to spell Damian Williamson who was unstoppable at points last season. With Tyrann Mathieu becoming the Premeire Defensive back in the league this could be the season the Chiefs hang a banner.

Notable Players:

  • Pat Mahomes (Best Quarterback)
  • Tyreek Hill
  • Tyrann Mathieu (Defensive Player of the Year) (Best Defensive Back)
  • Chris Jones
  • Mecole Hardman

Los Angeles Chargers 8-8 Headcoach stefmoney08

The Los Angeles Chargers made struggled with the Chiefs Speed, so decided on bringing in Veteran Patrick Peterson to play alongside Derwin James. The Chargers failed to win in week 17 which would have given them a post-season shot, however those Chiefs stood in their way. Austin Ekeler who was the Offensive player of the year could be the Key to it all as his production was unmatched. Expect a heavy dose of Ekeler with timely passes from 2nd year player Justin Herbert who will look to avoid a sophomore slump.

Notable Players:

  • Keenan Allen
  • Derwin James Jr.
  • Joey Bosa
  • Desmond King II
  • Austin Ekeler (Offensive Player of the Year)
  • Patrick Peterson

Oakland Raiders 5-11 Headcoach e30zack

The Las Vegas Raiders were hoping to have a better season in their first in Las Vegas. Instead a 5-11 season turned into a Develop players season with Henry Ruggs III getting most of the attention. They now feel it's time to win as they went out and added some veteran leadership in the form of Richard Sherman, and Earl Thomas III to give this team the added Ooomph to make a long post-season jaunt. The Question ins however are those veterans fast enough to compete in a young mans league. Youth, or experience what will be the victor.

Notable Players:

  • Rodney Hudson
  • Josh Jacobs
  • Richard Sherman
  • Darren Waller
  • Earl Thomas III
  • Henry Ruggs III

Denver Broncos 6-10 Headcoach PhillySunoco

The Denver Broncos at 6-10 were lead by Rookie Jerry Jeudy who brought in to season awards the Offensive Rookie of the year award, and the Best Wide Receiver. That experience should mean the Broncos offense should kick it up a nothc as Drew Lock showed that he is a Franchise Quarterback a year ago. Von Miller is getting long in tooth, but still showed that he is a force to be reckoned with. However with his best days behind him, Miller would love nothing more than to bring this Proud Franchise another Championship.

Notable Players:

  • Von Miller (Best Linebacker)
  • Ali Marpet
  • Justin Simmons
  • Jerry Jeudy (Offensive Rookie of the Year) (Best Wide Receiver)
  • Phillip Lindsay

AFC South:

Tennessee Titans 13-3 Headcoach ChocoRainReubz (Division Winner)

The Tennessee Titans dominated the South a year ago finishing with a 13-3 record. They were lead by Battering Ram of a Back Derrick Henry, and a defense that was #1 in take aways. Kevin Ballard, Jadeveon Clowney, and many others were hell on Sundays as teams did not expect team speed and ferociousness that hasn't been seen in the league since the 80's. Expect another repeat of that this season as the Titans stood mostly pat in the off-season instead leaning on a team that was clicking on all cylinders all season long. .

Notable Players:

  • Derrick Henry
  • Kevin Ballard
  • Jadeveon Clowney
  • Adoree' Jackson

Jacksonvile Jaguars 9-7 Headcoach ThePacificiCowboy (Wildcard)

The Jacksonville were one of the Surprise teams in the league a year ago starting 15 rookies throughout the season. They were able to grab a Wildcard spot, and although they did not win in the playoffs just being there was an accomplishment. The Jaguars will need steady Quarterback play out of Gardner Minshew if they want to take that next step. With the big play capabilities of D.J. Chark they have their Michael Irvin, they just are looking for their Aikman, and Emmitt.

Notable Players:

  • D.J. Chark Jr
  • Myles Jack
  • Josh Allen
  • Jacquiski Tartt

Indianapolis Colts 7-9 Headcoach Gaberooni54

The Team that no one wanted to face late in the season are the Indianapolis Colts. After a slow start they turned it on down the stretch, and almost got into the Post-season. They will look to carry that over into this season, as the Colts are one of the more balanced teams in the league. With a dominant Offensive line, and a incredible front 7 the Colts just may take the south this season. There big Acquisition in the Off-season was Jason McCourty which should help them immensely in the Secondary

Notable Players:

  • Quenton Nelson
  • DeFerest Buckner
  • Darius Leonard
  • Chris Harris Jr
  • T.Y. Hilton
  • Jason McCourty

Houston Texans 4-12 Headcoach Jace_Curry25

The Texans were set up for failure at the start of the year when the Real life Texans traded their best player Deshaun Watson right before the Season for what amounted to a hill of beans. The Texans in Madden had to deal with tht loss, and finished the season with a 4-12 record. The Texans Made a splash trading for Tight End Mark Andrews giving Super Star Deshaun Watson another weapon that should balance out the Texans offense. Look for the Texans to get into the swing of things as the Season progresses.

Notable Players:

  • J.J. Watt
  • DeShaun Watson
  • Mark Andrews
  • Brandin Cooks
  • Will Fuller V

AFC East:

New England Patriots 16-0 Headcoach SleepingKnapp (Division Winner)

The New England Patriots were top dog in the Conference, and League finishing with a 16-0 record, however they were unable to go down in the Annals of history as they came up short falling to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Post-Season. The Patriots made some major moves to get younger as they saw their Super Bowl Window closing. They Traded the Games Best Corner Back Stephon Gilmore who single handed locked down the opposing teams best receiver. They also let Jason McCourty, and  J.C. Jackson go from there secondary which was a strength, but now is one of the games worst. Expect the Patriots to take a step back this season, however perfection was going to be impossible to duplicate.

Notable Players:

  • Devin McCourty
  • Sony Michel  (Best Running Back)
  • Jonathan Jones
  • Calvin Ridley
  • Cam Newton
  • Shaq Mason (Best Offensive Lineman)

Buffalo Bills 8-8 Headcoach OffensiveDom

The Buffalo Bills came up just short of the playoffs a year ago, and have made a move to put major pressure in the middle of the Defense with the arrival of Matthew Ioannidis, and Ryan Kerrigan in a trade with the Washington Football Team. With those moves Bills Front 7 has become one of the leagues best, and could result in them taking down the New England Patriots. Josh Allens strong arm allows him to make throws many quarterbacks can only dream of, and with another season of familiarity with Stefon Diggs the look for the Bills to put up a fight, and break through to the post season this season.

Notable Players:

  • Josh Allen
  • Stefon Diggs
  • Tre'Davious White
  • Matthew Ioannidis
  • Micah Hyde
  • Ed Oliver

New York Jets 5-11 Headcoach Traylonakanana

The New York Jets unhappy with the way their Defense played made a major move bringing in pretty much the entire Bears defense as they have Roquan Smith, Eddie Goldman, and Kyle Fuller. They also made another win now move as they paid big money for A.J. Green which should help out Sam Darnold as he continues to lead a franchise who has struggled in recent memory. The Defensive addition should bode well for this team in the Division, and could make it a 3 way race.

Notable Players:

  • Avery Williamson
  • C.J. Mosley
  • Eddie Goldman
  • Roquan Smith
  • Kyle Fuller
  • A.J. Green
  • Quinnen Williams

Miami Dolphins 5-11 Headcoach I757IMonster

The Miami Dolphins Have their Quarterback of the Future in Tua Tagovaiola, then went out and acquired the Offensive line of the Future to protect him drafting 3 offnsive linemen in the first round. With Matt Breida running behind what many think could be the best offensive line in football in a few years, the Dolphins are planning to run teams into the ground. This season however should still be a rebuild, but expect Tua to take another step in terms of development, and finish around .500 on the season.

Notable Players:

  • Tua Tagovaiola
  • Byron Jones
  • Jarvis Landry
  • Xavien Howard
  • Matt Breida

NFASL Madden 21 Season II Preview

The NFC is home of Super Bowl XXXVII Champions the Green Bay Packers, so this is where we start our previews. There were several moves made over the Off-season, and beginning parts of Season II that it is mind boggling to say the Least. Drew Brees, Adrian Peterson, Cameron Wake, Alex mack, Jason Witten, and a myriad of other big time players retired. Big Ben Roethlisberger, Alex Smith, Jared Goff, and other staples of franchised were released, and let go into free agency. Dak Prescott, Stephon Gilmore, Roquan Smith, Eddie Goldman, Kyle Fuller, Richard Sherman, and many others were all traded to different franchises, and that's just off the top of my head. Season 1 was a mind warp, and we have 9 more to go! With that said, lets preview the NFC East for Madden 21, Season II.

NFC North:

Green Bay Packers 14-2 Headcoach Deuce4975 (Division Winner)

The Green Bay Packers Won Super Bowl XXXVII, and are the heavy favorite to win Super Bowl XXXVIII. With Aaron Rodgers now 37 years old, his time being one of the games best Quarterbacks should be winding down sooner rather, than later as Father Time is undefeated. In the meantime, They are well within their rights to lean on a ferocious defense, and a solid run game lead by Aaron Jones.

Notable Players:

  • Aaron Rodgers
  • Davante Adams
  • Jaire Alexander
  • Kenny Clark
  • Aaron Jones
  • Za'Darius Smith

Minnesota Vikings 10-6 Headcoach dhontos (Wildcard)

The Minnesota Vikings made the playoffs a year ago, and represented themselves well when they were there. unfortunately their championship window could be closing as they are one of the older teams in the league. With Harrison Smith, Michael Pierce, Adam Thielen, linval Joseph, Kirk Cousins, Kyle Rudolph, Anthony Barr, and Eric Kendricks staples of their team all pushing 30 the Vikings need to make as many moves to win right now as possible.

  • Harrison Smith
  • Danielle Hunter
  • Michael Pierce
  • Adam Thielen
  • Yannick Ngakoue

Detroit Lions 2-14 Headcoach Hitsquad954

The Detroit Lions were 2-14 a year ago, but have made several off-season moves to make sure a repeat does not happen. They traded for Dak Prescott, and Drafted Shut down corner Patrick Surtain II. adding Surtain to a secondary that includes their #1 Draft Pick from 2 years ago Jeff Okudah, Justin Coleman, and Desmond Trufant the Lions arguably have the best secondary in the game. Teams should expect a lot of Man coverage, and blitzing in front making for a resurgent Lions Team.

Notable Players:

  • Dak Prescott
  • Kenny Golladay
  • Trey Flowers
  • Justin Coleman

Chicago Bears 2-14 Headcoach Jady_Tru

The Chicago Bears at 2-14 a year ago found themselves with the #1 Pick in the Draft, and used it to select Generational Talent Trevor Lawrence from Clemson. With the QB of the Future in the building many are expecting Coach JD, to get back to his winning ways, however winning is a mindset that can be lost just like your house keys. The Bears did make other notable moves moving on from Bears Staples such as Roquan Smith, Eddie Goldman, and Kyler Fuller Trading them to the Jets. They also acquired JC Jackson, and Joe Thuney from the Patriots, and broke the Bank to Sign Keanu Neal in Free agency.

Notable Players:

  • Khalil Mack
  • ALlen Robinson II
  • Eddie Jackson
  • Keanu Neal

NFC West:

San Francisco 49ers 13-3 Headcoach Kaliko_420 (Division Winner)

The San Francisco 49ers won the most competitive Division in the NFC behind the 2000 yard performance of Raheem Mostert in the regular season. However the struggles of their passing game, as it often does for team to reliant on the run came back to bite them in the playoffs. The Niners have vowed to get Jimmy G More involved balancing out their offense, which may lead to less regular season wins, but better success long term. The Niners have all the makings of a stellar passing attack with George Kittle the Games best tightend in the middle of the field. With Raheem Mostert at 29 years old a step down is coming, so winning now should be their #1 priority.

Notable Players:

  • George Kittle
  • Raheem Mostert
  • Nick Bosa
  • Trent Williams
  • Fred Warner
  • Arik Armstead
  • Kwon Alexander

Seattle Seahawks 11-5 Headcoach IcyyCA (Wildcard)

Notable Players:

  • Russell Wilson
  • D.K. Metcalf
  • Jamal Adams
  • Bobby Wagner

Arizona Cardinals 11-5 Headcoach Papalon24 (Wildcard)

The Arizona Cardinals made the playoffs a year ago the 3rd team in the NFC West to do so. The Addition of DeAndre Hopkins to go along with Kyler Murray took this team to the next level as the Cardinals have all the makings of a super Bowl contender. They added Hunter Henry, and Chris Godwin in the off-season forcing teams to honor every aspect of the field on offense, while on defense they have Isaiah Simmons who moved to corner, along with Byron Murphy Jr., and Chandler Jones on defense the Cardinals are the favorites to come out of the West.

Notable Players:

  • Kyler Murray
  • DeAndre Hopkins
  • Chandler Jones
  • Chris Godwin

Los Angeles Rams 2-14 Headcoach brazyxai_

The Los Angeles Rams have easily the best defensive player in the Game as Aaron Donalds presence must be accounted for at all times on the Football Field. However Donald was unable to help the Rams from a 2-14 season. They were able to Move up in the draft, and selected Trey Lance out of North Dakota State a player many think will be a major talent in the NFL. That moved signaled the end for Jared Goff, as he was released, and allowed to go into free agency. The Rams also added Marlon Mack to an already crowded running back room as Cam Akers, and Darrell henderson all will be tasked with splitting duties.

Notable Players:

  • Aaron Donald
  • Jalen Ramsey
  • Cooper Kupp

NFC South:

Atlanta Falcons 13-3 Headcoach PrimtiveMind (Division Winner)

The Atlanta Falcons were 13-3 a year ago, and won the NFC South but fell short in the playoffs to the  eventual Super Bowl Winners the Green Bay Packers. The Falcons did not stand by, but went and traded for the games best Corner Back Stephon Gilmore with Davante Adams in mind come the Post-season. They also gave Julio Jones another Super Star on the outside pairing him with Michael Galllup who should stop teams from being able to double Julio, down in, and down out. The Falcons are going all in on this season, and only the Lombardi Trophy, and Hall of Champions will do!

Notable Players:

  • Stephon Gilmore
  • Julio Jones
  • Grady Jarrett
  • Deion Jones
  • Michael Gallup
  • Matt Ryan

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 10-6 Headcoach Kevin_3447

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made a bold move going in favor of the Rookie Feleipe Franks out of Arkansas over the 1st ballot Hall of Famer Tom Brady. However many think that the Buccaneers will go back to Brady if the Rookie struggles at any point in the season as the Buccaneers are designed to win now. They added Super Star Back Kenyan Drake, along with Courtland Sutton in the off-season to help the Rookie along. The Buccaneers narrowly missed the playoffs a year ago, but should get their this year if they don't hit a mid-season swoon like they did last year.

Notable Players:

  • Mike Evans
  • Rob Gronkowski
  • Courtland Sutton
  • Kenyan Drake
  • Devin White
  • Tom Brady

Carolina Panthers 9-7 Headcoach conkQB12

The Carolina Panthers Hired a new coach in the later parts of the season a year ago with Coach conkQB12 taking over the fracnhise. Coahc Conk then began a overhaul of his team opting to bring in Matthew Stafford from the Lions in a trade, and Lavonte David their High Dollar Free agent Pick up. The Panthers even through al that Turmoil were still able to go 9-7 on the season, and should compete for a playoff spot this year. With the games best Dual Purpose Back Christian McCaffrey they have the makings of a match up nightmare that most teams cannot contend with.

Notable Players:

  • Christian McCaffrey
  • D.J. Moore
  • Lavonte David
  • Kawann Short
  • Donte Jackson
  • Matthew Stafford

New Orleans Saints 3-13 Headcoach PantherAlumni74

The New Orleans Saints saw Drew Brees retire at the end of last Season, after struggling through one of their franchises worst records of 3-13. With Michael Thomas, Alvin Kamara, and Cameron Jordan going 3-13 seemed nearly impossible. They did another head scratching move opting for penei Sewell the dominant left tackle from Oregon in place of drafting the heir aparent Trey Lance especially after losing Brees. With Andy Dalton as the Signal caller this season, the Saints must have a long term plan that only they know about.

Notable Players:

  • Michael Thomas
  • Cameron Jordan
  • Alvin Kamara
  • Marshon Lattimore

NFC East:

New York Giants 12-4 Headcoach THE-Kiid-Kenny (Division Winner)

The New York Giants easily won the NFC East behind the Leagues MVP Saquon Barkley. Barkley had nearly 3000 combined yards, and was hands down the Favorite to win it from the start of the season. With the addition of Sammy Watkins, and the further development of Daniel Jones the Giants are expected to have an explosive offense. The loss of Speed at tightend could come back to haunt them however as Evan Engrams speed could not be matched by 90% of the Middle linebackers in the league.

Notable Players:

  • Saquon Barkley
  • Darius Slayton
  • Sammy Watkins

Washington Football Team 5-11 Headcoach Newmoon001

The Washington Football Team as they are now called have built their team from the Defensive line out as Chase Young, and Montez Sweat are both premiere Pass rushers in the league. With a D-Line that has 4 first round draft picks they are a team that has to be acounted for. The Football Team also moved on from Dwayne Haskins as they drafted D'Eriq King a Clone of RGIII which should bode Coach Newmoon001 well. If he Falters however Big Ben Roethlisberger was brought in as a veteran insuarance policy to right the ship.

Notable Players:

  • Chase Young
  • Montez Sweat
  • Terry McLaurin

Dallas Cowboys 3-13 Headcoach Raw_Diaw

The Dallas Cowboys at 3-13 a year ago was head scratching to say the least. With a roster full of talent the Cowboys were expected to make a deep post season run. However lack of faith in Dak Prescott made them trade him to the Detroit Lions, and move up to select Justin Fields out of Ohio State. Fields should give the Cowboys offense another element that could take this team over the top, however it is incumbent on their coach Raw_diaw to get a little more innovative in place of the run on first down, throw it deep on 2nd, and 3rd. If the Cowboys can get it together they could be fighting for a playoff spot at seasons end.

Notable Players:

  • Ezekiel Elliott
  • Noah Fant
  • Amari Cooper
  • CeeDee Lamb
  • Zack Martin
  • Tyron Smith

Philadelphia Eagles 3-13 Headcoach Melblaze3521

The Philadelphia Eagles ended the season with the leagues worst offense at 14ppg. A season of regression by Carson Wentz, and one of the older teams in the league could spell a long road to being competitive this Madden. Coach Melblaze will need to refine his offense, and although he runs hurry up somehow has the slowest offensive system in the league.

Notable Players:

  • Fletcher Cox
  • Jason Kelce
  • Brandon Brooks
  • Carson Wentz

NFASL Madden 21 season II kickoff

The NFASL is Back!  The New Season is upon us, and right now there are 32 teams all feeling like they have, a chance at winning the Next big game. Of course we all know that in the end there is only one team, that gets to hang their banner in the most glorious Hall of Champions!  Last season it was the Green Bay Packers dominating the regular season with a 14-2 recordd, the best in the conference. Their headcoach Deuce4975 hung his first banner in the Hall Of Champions in only his first year in the League! With a team stacked out the box, this could be the first of many for the New Coach. Last season was a blur with the League moving to a 48 hour advancemen, something that I thought I never thought I'd See. However as resistant to change that I am, when something makes sense I don't fight against the rising tide.  The League each season gets better, and better, and this one should be no different.

There were plenty of Changes in the Off-season with Staples of the League Retiring like Drew Brees, or Adrian Peterson. Big Ben Roethlisberger released from the Steelers after leading them to the Super Bowl a year ago, or Tom Brady Relegated to 2nd on the Depth Chart behind rookie from Arkansas Feleipe Franks.

The Off-Season brought about some major changes as well as Dak Prescott was traded to the Detroit Lions in a Mega Deal that saw them move up for spots in the draft to select Ohio States Justin Fields.  The Cowboys were not done as they sent Michael Gallup to the Atlanta Falcons for their 1st round Draft Pick. Patrick Peterson, and Marcus Gilbert were traded to the Chargers for Hunter Henry and Picks. Matthew Ioanidis, and Ryan Kerrigan were both traded to the Bills, The Chargers and the Jaguars were involved in a trade that sent Justin Jackson to the Jaguars, and Andrew Norwell to the Chargers. The Dolphins accumulated pick, after pick then Parlayed that into what many think will be the Dallas Cowboys Offensive line from the 90s. There were many, many more moves that will be touched on later this week, as Team Previews will be released on the website.

The new Season is here, Things are moving full speed ahead, so lets have a good fun season with all 32 members remaining from the start. Of all the things that I want for this league is for each and every member to stay, and enjoy the good, and bad times.

Kick Off Game

   Packers Send Bears into Hibernation!

Green Bay, WS. Lambeau Field. Rivalry Game! In the NFASL Kick Off Game the Chicago Bears Took on Division Rival the Green Bay Packers as the Packers Received their Banner to be hung into the Hall of Champions for all time! The Packers did not disappoint the home crowd as they started out slow, but crushed the Bears in the end by a score of 49-16. The Chicago Bears had the #1 Draft pick in the League after a tumultous season a year ago, one that saw them go 2-14 on the season. With coach Jady_Tru being a 4 time Super Bowl Winner many were screaming bloody murder as it was apparent that they were tanking for the Golden Boy Trevor Lawrence out of Clemson! The Bears didn't flinch however as when the Draft rolled around they did what many expected and drafted the best Quarterback Prospect since Dan Marino.

In his first Action Lawrence showed why he was drafted #1 overall as for a least a half he went toe to toe with Future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers. Lawrence finished the game with 280yards, on 22/37 passing with 1 touchdown, and 2 ints. Those interceptions were back breaking for the Bears as the Packers converted them both into scores blowing the game open in the 2nd half. Packers corner Back Kevin King accounted for both interceptions, taking one 51 yards for 6. The Bears headcoach didn't do Lawrence any favors as the Bears only rushed 28 yards as Cordarelle Patterson converted WR carried the Ball 6 times for a total of 8 yards. The other 20 Yards were from Lawrence who scrambed twice, for 20 yards.

The Packers were lead by Super Star Quarterback Aaron Rodgers as he was simply incredible throwing for 242 yards, and 4 touchdowns in the win. His Favorite Target was Davante Adams the Leagues most prolific pass catcher a season ago hauled in 6 for 94 Yards, and 2 touchdowns in the win. With Adams running wild in the Bears Secondary, Aaron Jones was able to Gash the Bears on the ground for 121 yards, and 1 touchdown on just 15 carries, 8.1 yards per.

The Bears will take on the Rams in Week 2, and hope not to acquiant Lawrence with Aaron Donald too many times. The Packers will look to make it two in a row as they take on another Division rival the New Look Detroit Lions with arguably one of the best secondaries in the game.

The new season is upon us, every team has a chance to win, and optimism is renewed!  Until next time this has been a Sim Athletics Network Production.

Deuce4975   XXXVII

On October 11th, 2020 the Green Bay Packers won Super Bowl XXXVII on Madden 21 (PS4)! The Coach of the Team was Deuce4975 who won his first Super Bowl, and did it in dominating fashion going 14-2 on the season. Not to mention Coach Deuce4975's first season! The Packers defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 24-22 coached by Hac_3443 playing in his first super Bowl. The MVP was Strong Safety Adrian Amos whos pick 6 was a major role in the Packers win. Congratulations on your Super Bowl Win!

AFC/NFC Race for the playoffs

The league is as week 12, which is a good time to start honing in on the Race to the playoffs in each conferences. Right now the only undefeated team in the league are the New England Patriots sitting at a perfect 10-0. If the Playoffs were to start right now the Patriots would have the only Bye Week, as the league offices in their great wisdom added an extra Wildcard spot making home field advantage just that much more important. It's not every day that the league does something that makes sense, but this is surely one of them. Adding the extra playoff spot gives a ton more teams an opportunity late in the season to keep striving especially in a league of parity. It also forces the teams at the top to keep their foot on the gas so they don't lose their Bye Week, as well as their Coveted Home field advantage.

In the NFC If the Playoffs started today:

  1. West - Seattle Seahawks 8-2
  2. North -  Green Bay Packers 8-2
  3. East - New York Giants 7-3
  4. South - Atlanta Falcons 7-3
  5. Wildcard - Arizona Cardinals 7-3
  6. Wildcard - San Francisco 49ers 7-3
  7. Wildcard - Tampa Bay Buccaneers 7-4

Right now in the NFC the Seattle Seahawks lead the way in the NFC West with a 8-2 record, and would have the Bye, and homefield if the Playoffs started today. It's no wonder as they have Russell Wilson playing at a MVP Caliber, with a sixth sense ability to get the ball to D.K. Metcalf in the Redzone as he is 2nd in the league in receiving Touchdowns with 10. They Seahawks can't rest on their laurels However as the Green Bay Packers are but a mere percentage point behind them. The Packers can easily see a plan how in the next few weeks could see themselves as top dog in the conference, not to mention leading the way in the North. A healthy Aaron Rodgers, a dominant running back in Aaron Jones, and a defense that has Kenny CLark, Za'Darius Smith, and Shutdown corner Jaire Alexander cannot be overlooked. The New York Football Giants are once again on top of the NFC East, handing the ball off to Saquon Barkley at a 70% Clip. Barkley is #1 for the MVP Race, and leads the league in rushing with with 1,620yards, and 21 touchdowns. In the South the Atlanta Falcons are on top with a 7-3 record but it is dangerously close in the South as they are only up 1 game in the Division. The Wildcard spots, are just that. Absolutely Wild. The Arizona Cardinals, and San Francisco 49ers still have designs on the Seahawks spot in the West, as they are only a game back. However if they are unable to catch them, they can't be for certain that their position is safe as they are now. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers, are both 7-4, with the Buccs in possession of the 3rd, and final Wildcard spot. Also the Minnesota Vikings are 6-4, and find themselves in a damn near must win in week 12 as they are paired up against the Carolina Panthers in a game that has huge Playoff ramifications.

In the AFC if the playoffs started today:

  1. East - New England Patriots 10-0
  2. South - Tennessee Titans 8-2
  3. West - Kansas City Chiefs 7-3
  4. North - Pittsburgh Steelers - 7-3
  5. Wildcard - Baltimore Ravens - 6-4
  6. Wildcard - Buffalo Bills 6-4
  7. Wildcard - Los Angeles Chargers - 6-4

The New England Patriots are 10-0, and lead the East, as well as would have Homefield advantage if the playoffs were to begin today. The Patriots are doing it were no one thought they could, however with a Defense that is lockdown, and Sony Michel leading the league in rushing Touchdowns at 21 the Patriots are the most dangerous team in the league. With the Patriots being 10-0 the Tennessee Titans will be playing in Wildcard weekend unless the Patriots hit the equivalent of a landmine. In Years Past the Titans would be prepping for a first round bye, however those days are just that. Gone Past. The Titans lead the south by handing the Ball off to Freight train of a back Derrick "John" Henry, and Defenses are paying the price. In the West Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes are on top with the greatest offense the league has ever seen. With Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, and Mecole Hardman trying to put a cover on this boiling pot is nigh impossible. The Steelers lead the North with an aging Big Ben Roethlisberger. Headcoach Hac3443 would love nothing more than to get his team one more chip before Big Ben Rides off into the Sunset. Good thing he has all the metrics one would need as they have JuJu Smith-Schuster, Cameron Heyward, and a slew of other players all good where you need to be to make a great post-season run.

Just like in the NFC the Wildcard is just that. Wild. Anytime 6 time Hall of Fame participant Tommanowns is in the Wildcard you know it's going to be bananas. Right now 3 teams are tied for the final 3 playoff spots all with 6-4 records. Those teams are the Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, and the Los Angeles Chargers. All 3 teams are expecting a tough way to go down the stretch as seemingly every game will be meaningful. The Bengals are a percentage point out at 6-4, while the Jacksonville Jaguars, Cleveland Browns, are both 5-5. Teams with a punchers chance are the Las Vegas Raiders, and Indianapolis Colts at 4-6
