NFASL Madden 21 Season 3 Preview

The NFC is home of Super Bowl XXXVIII Champions the Carolina Panthers, so the NFC South is where we will start our previews. There were several moves made over the Off-season with several big named stars changing zip codes. The most notable of those Stars was Stephon Gilmore who for the 2nd straight year saw himself change teams. Gilmore received a stack as he was given a 1 year, 40 million dollar contract by the Colts. A move that has many believing the Colts are now the Favorite to come out of the AFC. The San Francisco 49ers Signed 5 year pro, and budding star Marcus Williams to a 5 year 82.1 Million dollar contract to play alongside Rayann Duqmaq giving the Niners one of the best safety Duos in the league. There were several players that retired also as DeSean Jackson, Big Ben Roethlisberger, Jason Kelce, & Jimmy Smith all hung up their cleats, and will just await word for the call from the Hall of Fame. Season II blew by, and now Season 3 is upon us. With The NFC winning 2 straight Super Bowls, they will look to make it 3 in a row. With that said, lets preview the NFC for Madden 21, Season III.

NFC South:

Carolina Panthers 12-4 Headcoach conkQB12 (Wildcard)

The Carolina Panthers went into the Playoffs as a Wildcard team, and win the smoke cleared they came out Super Bowl XXXVIII winners. However this is a new year, and what have you done for me lately comes into play. The The Panthers made few changes in the off-season, instead opted to go with what got them there a year ago. The Panthers have the Leagues reigning MVP, and Super Bowl MVP with Christian McCafrrey so the Backfield is set for years to come. They did however realise that teams would begin loading up to slow him down, and they drafted several offensive Weapons to help keep the running lanes open. They drafted Wide receiversFrank Ladson Jr., Travell Harris, Elijah Moore, and Tightend James Mitchell to bolster a passing game that features D.J. Moore.

Notable Players:

  • Christian McCaffrey
  • D.J. Moore
  • Desmond King
  • Derrick Brown
  • Donte Jackson
  • Matthew Stafford

Atlanta Falcons 12-4 Headcoach PrimtiveMind (Division Winner)

The Atlanta Falcons were 12-4 a year ago, and won the Divisiom. However with another playoff loss the Falcons have swallowed the Jagged little pill that this teams window has closed, and have begun the process of rebuilding. They have let several players leave with the most notable being Stephon Gilmore. The Falcons now have the lowest rated team in the league, even though they still have Julio Jones catching everything thrown his way. The Falcons could be in store for a long year, however the light is at the end of the Tunnel as they have 3 first round draft picks in this up coming draft.

Notable Players:

  • Julio Jones
  • Deion Jones
  • Michael Gallup

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 6-9 Headcoach Kevin_3447

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made the move of the Off-Season as they acquire Super Star Quarterback Kyler Murray from the Arizona Cardinals! The Buccaneers had a disappointing season going 6-9, after a 10-6 season a year prior with Tom Brady at the Helm. However Brady Skills diminished over time leaving the Buccaneers Feleipe Franks behind center, and the spotligt was too bright for him. They will not have that problem this year as Murray has been through the fire that is the NFC West, and several big games in Oklahoma.

Notable Players:

  • Mike Evans
  • Kyler Murray
  • N'Keal Harry
  • Shaquil Barrett
  • Antoine Winfield Jr
  • Rob Gronkowski
  • Kenyan Drake
  • Devin White

New Orleans Saints 2-14 Headcoach PantherAlumni74

The New Orleans Saints saw followed up one of their worst seasons a year ago by saying hold my beer as they followed it up with a 2-14 one. The Saints with one of the best rosters, are a head scratching team as they were expected to be one of the best teams in the league. With a the leagues worst defense the Saints will Drafted Kayvon Thibodeaux with their first pick, to play alongside Cameron Jordan, and Marcus Davenport. With pressure up the Middle the Saints Secondary should play better this year. With Michael Thomas, and ALvin Kamara, and now Jacoby Brissett throwing passes the Saints could be a sleeper in the South.

Notable Players:

  • Michael Thomas
  • Kaybon Thibodeaux
  • Cameron Jordan
  • Alvin Kamara
  • Marshon Lattimore

NFC North:

Green Bay Packers 15-1 Headcoach Deuce4975 (Division Winner)

The Green Bay Packers went 15-1 on the season, but came short in the post Season losing to the eventual Super Bowl Champions Carolina Panthers. The Packers have also made a move that was 2 seasons in the making as they give the ball over to Jordan Love out of Utah to take the Packers into the next 10 years of NFL Football. The Packers are absolutely loaded on offense so Love should be okay if he can keep the turnovers down. The Packers drafted the 6'3" Joseph Ngata out of Clemosn giving the Packers the biggest Wide Receiving corp in the league. With Davante Adams, Aaron Jones, Jace Sternberger on offense, Za'Darius Smith, Preston Smith, Kenny Clark, Jaire Alexander, Darnell Savage the Packers will be formidable all season long.

Notable Players:

  • Aaron Rodgers
  • Davante Adams
  • Jaire Alexander
  • Kenny Clark
  • Aaron Jones
  • Za'Darius Smith

Minnesota Vikings 5-11 Headcoach dhontos

The Minnesota Vikings had a down year going 5-11, a utter dissapointment for a team that made the Playoffs a year prior. With their Quarterback Situation in shambles the answer just may lie in the right arm of Sam Howell out of North Carolina. Howell won't blow anyone off the field in terms of Physical attributes as he is only 6'1" and 225lbs. However he is deadly accurate, and reminds many of who watch hikm of Drew Brees with a slightly stronger arm. With Dalvin Cook in the backfield, and Adam Thielen, and Justin Jefferson receiving balls the Howell should excel as the season progresses. However the North is deadly tough so getting out to a fast start is paramount for this franchise.

Notable Players:

  • Dalvin Cook
  • Danielle Hunter
  • Michael Pierce
  • Adam Thielen
  • Justin Jefferson

Detroit Lions 4-12 Headcoach Hitsquad954

The Detroit Lions were 2-14 a year ago, but have made several off-season moves to make sure a repeat does not happen. They traded for Dak Prescott, and Drafted Shut down corner Patrick Surtain II. adding Surtain to a secondary that includes their #1 Draft Pick from 2 years ago Jeff Okudah, Justin Coleman, and Desmond Trufant the Lions arguably have the best secondary in the game. Teams should expect a lot of Man coverage, and blitzing in front making for a resurgent Lions Team.

Notable Players:

  • Dak Prescott
  • Kenny Golladay
  • Trey Flowers
  • Jeff Okudah
  • Patrick Surtain II

Chicago Bears 8-8 Headcoach Jady_Tru

The Chicago Bears at 2-14 a year ago found themselves with the #1 Pick in the Draft, and used it to select Generational Talent Trevor Lawrence from Clemson. With the QB of the Future in the building many are expecting Coach JD, to get back to his winning ways, however winning is a mindset that can be lost just like your house keys. The Bears did make other notable moves moving on from Bears Staples such as Roquan Smith, Eddie Goldman, and Kyler Fuller Trading them to the Jets. They also acquired JC Jackson, and Joe Thuney from the Patriots, and broke the Bank to Sign Keanu Neal in Free agency.

Notable Players:

  • Khalil Mack
  • Allen Robinson II
  • Eddie Jackson
  • Keanu Neal
  • Akiem Hicks
  • Trevor Lawrence
  • Jaylon Johnson

NFC West:

San Francisco 49ers 12-4 Headcoach Kaliko_420 (Wildcard)

The San Francisco 49ers remained one of the top teams a season ago with a defense that was among the leagues top, a Offense that featured Raheem Mostert, and a coach with Super Bowl Pedigree. However they once again succumbed in the post-season as Jimmy Garoppolo struggled. That pretty much sealed the deal for Jimmy G in the Golden state as the Niners cut him immediately, and drafted Kedon Slovis out of USC a player they are very familiar with. The Niners are built to win now, so them giving the ball to a rookie QB has many people scratching their heads, and wondering if they will make a move sooner, rather than later. The Niners bolstered a already stout defense with the Signing of Marcus Williams, however they will have their hands full in the West.

Notable Players:

  • George Kittle
  • Raheem Mostert
  • Nick Bosa
  • Trent Williams
  • Fred Warner
  • Marcus Williams
  • Kwon Alexander

Seattle Seahawks 12-4 Headcoach IcyyCA (Division Winner)

The Seattle Seahawks took a huge step winning what many believe is the toughest Division in sports the NFC West. The only thing left to do is win the Super Bowl, and with Russell Wilson playing at a MVP level they are one of the favorites to come out of the NFC. Wilson has a team around him that features D.K. Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Chris Carson house giving them the firepower to go deep into the Postseason. With Jamal Adams anchoring the Defense the Seahawks are able to take chances that most teams simply can't. A 12-4 record a year ago means that Super Bowl or Bust is the mantra for this team, this year.

Notable Players:

  • Russell Wilson
  • D.K. Metcalf
  • Jamal Adams
  • Shaquill Griffin
  • Bobby Wagner

Arizona Cardinals 8-8 Headcoach Papalon24

The Arizona Cardinals were one of the huge let downs on the year a season ago going 8-8 with a team that seemed destined to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. They have now made a move that has left many people scratching their heads as they let Kyler Murray go via a trade with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Cardinals coach never bought into the style of play that that Murray wanted to do, and have instead opted for a more traditional pocket passer in the 6'6" Feleipe Franks. Franks is most compared to Joe Flacco, and will be expected to lead a team that is absolutely loaded to the promised land.

Notable Players:

  • DeAndre Hopkins
  • Chandler Jones
  • Budda Baker
  • Von Miller
  • JuJu Smith-Schuster
  • Isaiah Simmons
  • Chris Godwin

Los Angeles Rams 3-13 Headcoach brazyxai_

The Los Angeles Rams May find themselves in the middle of a rebuild as they finished the season 3-13 a year ago. There are rumblings that Aaron Donald, and Jalen Ramsey are demanding trades, as the Defensive scheme that the Rams coach has put into place saw Donald get the fewest sacks of his career, and Jalen Ramsey look absolutely ordinary in terms of a corner. The Rams have placd their faith in now second year starter Trey Lance who has all the metrics for a QB, but decision making has been absolutely brutal for the QB out of North Dakota as he threw an all time league leading, history leading 60 ints. For the Rams to become relevant they may need to slow things down, and hand the ball off to the newly acquired Marlon Mack.

Notable Players:

  • Aaron Donald
  • Jalen Ramsey
  • Cooper Kupp
  • John Johnson III
  • Marlon Mack

NFC East:

New York Giants 11-5 Headcoach THE-Kiid-Kenny (Wildcard)

The New York Giants lost the seat of Power as they give the Division to The Washington Football Team. They however come back this season with a new found optimism. It also helps when you have 2000 yard back Saquon Barkley in the Backfield! The Giants know though they will only go as far as the right arm of Daniel Jones will take them. Jones has the Weapons with Darius Slayton, and Sammy Watkins. However with Barkley in the backfield some believe he has retarded his growth, and could be standing in the way of greatness. Jones played the game of his life in the playoffs, and will look to build on that in the up and coming season.

Notable Players:

  • Saquon Barkley
  • Daniel Jones
  • Darius Slayton
  • Sammy Watkins
  • Carl Lawson
  • Leonard Williams

Washington Football Team 11-5 Headcoach Newmoon001 (Division Winner)

The Washington Football Team won the Division a year ago sweeping the NFC East, and will look to bring out the brooms again. However the Teams are much improved, but so are the Redskins. They were big spenders in the Off-season bringing in LG matt Feiler, & C Gabe Jackson to help build their offensive line that has been wavering since the departure of Trent Willilams. The WFT however are a Defensive team lead by their front 4 that consists of 4 1st rond draft picks with Montez Sweat, and Chase Young Spear heading the unit. With that front four the WFT was the #1 ranked Defense in the league, and will look to continue the trend this year.

Notable Players:

  • Chase Young
  • Montez Sweat
  • Brandon Scherf
  • D'Eriq King
  • Antonio Gibson
  • Brevin Jordan
  • Terry McLaurin

Dallas Cowboys 3-13 Headcoach Raw_Diaw

The Dallas Cowboys at 3-13 for the second straight year caused their Owner/Headcoach Raw_Diaw to reevaluate everything. Playing football that is more akin to an arcade, and not The League will get you in trouble in more ways than one. However with a new found optimism, and a full year under the belt for Justin Fields the Cowboys could be primed and ready to make the step back to contender. With a Allstar team for a lineup the time is now! look for the Team in Texas to get going, and begin to start the process of competing in every game.

Notable Players:

  • Ezekiel Elliott
  • Noah Fant
  • Amari Cooper
  • CeeDee Lamb
  • Zack Martin
  • Justin Fields

Philadelphia Eagles 3-13 Headcoach Melblaze3521

The Philadelphia Eagles ended the season with the leagues worst offense at 14ppg for the second straight year, and just like the Cowboys need to find a offense that works for them. A mahjor move by the Eagles however saw them trade for Super Star Kicker Josh Lambo as the Eagles are pereniy one of the worst kicking teams in the league. Because of it the Eagles took one 22 yard Field Goal all season long. With Lambo now in the Fold the Eagles could surprise some teams this season.

Notable Players:

  • Fletcher Cox
  • Zach Ertz
  • Brandon Brooks
  • Darius Slay Jr
  • Carson Wentz

NFASL Season 3 Kickoff Game

The NFASL is Back!  The New Season is upon us, and just like seasons past there are 32 teams all feeling like there time is now! Hope Springs eternal, but so does the start of a NFASL Madden Season! The Packers were dethroned by the Carolina Panthers and their League MVP Christian McCaffrey who ran wild in the regular season, and followed up with a Super Bowl performance that will not soon be matched as he had 6 touchdowns in the win. The Panthers finished the regular season with a 12-4 record, and coach conkQB12 earned his place in the Hall of Champions (write up below).

The League just continues to get better and better, and the implementation of the Draft lottery has taken this league to the next level. Removing any incentive to tank as teams 1-18 have equal chance at garnering the 1st pick in the draft, and moving their draft stock has made every single game have more meaning. We also made another big change that should help the league balance itself as we moved every single Wide receivers run blocking, Impact blocking, and lead blocking to 35 ,and below. This should help stop wide receiver consistently sealing the edge on Sweeps, Stretches, inside Zone, etc.... Hopefully the Days of Wide Receivers stone walling Linebackers are over. We are also working on a system that rewards sim play, and removes the incentive for playing fast and loose. No Player should expect to be X-Factor if they are throwing 30, 40, 50 interceptions in a season. Or players not hi-lighting these X-Factor players in an attempt to upgrade another player to that X-Factor Status. Be Warned we are trying to come up with a system that if you see a player move out of the top at their position in the league they may be subject to losing their X-Factor, and abilities all together.

The new Season is here, Things are moving full speed ahead, so lets have a good fun season with all 32 members remaining from the start. Of all the things that I want for this league is for each and every member to stay, and enjoy the good, and bad times.

Kick Off Game

Chicago Bears (1-0)45              Green Bay Packers (0-1)38

Team Leaders:

  • T. Lawrence 381yds, 3td, 2int A. Rodgers 479yds, 5td, 4ints
  • T. Cohen 17att, 92yds, 1td    A. Jones 10att, 70yds, 1td

   Bears Have No Love Lost!

Green Bay, WS. Lambeau Field. Rivalry Game! In the NFASL Kick Off Game the Chicago Bears traveled to legenday Lambeau Field to take on their Division rival the Green Bay Packers in their Kick off Game! When the Smoke cleared it was the Monsters of the Midway laying the smack down on the Packers 45-38. Jordan Love took over the starting duties for the aging Aaron Rodgers now in his 17th season. If the loss isn't bad enough the Packers Soon to be Hall of Famer has already demanded a trade, as he believes he still has a lot in the tank. Love Played well in spite of the loss as he finished with a game high 479 yards passing, and 5 touchdowns. However he threw 4 interceptions with the 4th being the worst as the Packers had a chance to tie the Bears late in the 4th quarter. However Shaq Thompsons Interception in the Endzone spoiled any chance of a Packers win.

The #1 pick from a year ago by the Bears Trevor Lawrence had full command of the Bears offense, and looks like he will be a star in the league for many years to come. Lawrence finished the game with 381 yards, and 3 tds. His Favorite target was Cole Kmet who hauled in 6 receptions for 131 yards. The Bears after having missed the playoffs a year ago by one game won the lottery moving from pick 18 all the way to selection #2. With the pick he selected the 6'6" RG Jacob Monk out of Duke to help protect the savior of the Bears Franchise. So far so good as Monk did not relinquish any sacks against one of the leagues best front 7's. The Story of the night however was the Bears Defense as 2nd year pro Tyson Campbell made his bid for player of the week as he intercepted Jordan love 3 times to include a 61 yard interception return that swung the momentum in the direction of the Bears.

The Bears will take on the NFC East New York Giants in Week 2, and hope to contain Saquon Barkley last years runner up in the MVP. The Packers will look to get their first win of the season as they take on another Division Rival the Detroit Lions with arguably one of the best secondaries in the game.

The new season is upon us, every team has a chance to win, and optimism is renewed!  Until next time this has been a Sim Athletics Network Production.

conkQB12   XXXVIII

On November 16th, 2020 the Carolina Panthers won Super Bowl XXXVIII on Madden 21 (PS4)! The Coach of the Team was conkQB12 who won his first Super Bowl, in his first full year in the NFASL finishing with a 12-4 record on the regular season. The Games Leagues MVP was also the Super Bowl MVP as Christian McCaffrey had 190 yards rushing, and a SuperBowl record 6 touchdowns! The Panthers defeated the Baltimore Ravens 45-24 coached by the Leagues Goat Tommanowns. Congratulations on your Super Bowl Win!

 Keep Pounding!

Super Bowl XXXVIII. Dallas, TX. AT&T Stadium. Broadcast Team of Raw_Diaw, Traylonkanana, & SleepingKnapp.  In the NFASL Super Bowl XXXVI The Carolina Panthers are the Super Bowl Champions as they defeated the Baltimore Ravens 45-24! The Games MVP was also the Leagues MVP as Christian McCaffrey ran wild as he carried the ball  25 times for 190yards, and a Super Bowl record 6 touchdowns! McCaffrey also Hauled in 6 passes for 50 yards from the acquistion of the Off-season Matthew Stafford. Stafford played game manager during the season, and that carried over into the Super Bowl as he was 17-23 with 222 yards, and no touchdowns. Not earth shattering, but he didn't make any plays to hurt his team, but hit some big time throws throughout the  game to keep the ball in the hands of The Panthers. That manageent style lead to the Panthers winning the time of possession by a Margin of 20:21 to 15:39 for the Ravens. They also had 6 third down conversions to the Ravens 0. The Panthes big time players made big time plays as Donte Jackson intercepted Lamar Jackson twice, with none so big as the one late in the second quarter as he stepped in front of Nick Boyle to turn the momentum around for the Panthers as the Ravens were on the move.

The Ravens were coached by 6 time Hall of Champions Coach Tommanowns so it was surprising to see any team coached by him make the mistakes that cost them the game. The Ravens were 14-2 on the season, and the heavy favorites coming into the game. However as they say, this is why you play the game. The Ravens got major contributions from the players you would expect as Jackson threw for 229yards, and 2 touchdowns however 2 costly interceptions may have been the difference. Jackson also carried the ball 4 times for 51yards. 2nd year star J.K. Dobbins rushed for 65 yards, on 12 carries, and scored a touchdown. While Marquise Brown hauled in a game high 4 receptions for 111yards, and scored the only receiving touchdown for the game. The Game was the Ravens to win as they were up 7-0, 10-7, and driving late in the 2nd quarter when Lamar Jackson on 2nd & 1 rolling to the right sideline threw a ill conceived pass that was intercepted. After that play the Panthers had all the momentum, and the Ravens went from leading 10-7 with a little more than a minute to go in the second quarter to finding themselves down 17-10 at the start of the 3rd quarter. Most people say that a Game isn't lost on just 1 play, but I dare say that this play was the one that swung the game in the direction of the Panthers. From there the Panthers jumped out to a 24-10 lead, and the Ravens were playing catch up all day, and finally succumbed to the force known as Christian McCaffrey.

The Carolina Panthers were coached by conkQB12, and will write his name into the Hall of Champions to be forever remembered as the Team to win Super Bowl XXXVIII, the final Second Season of Madden 21!

Lets have a conversation with Super Bowl XXXVIII winner Coach conkQB12:

  • You won Super Bowl XXXVIII! What was your gameplan Going in??

My Gameplan was to keep Lamar, and Hollywood Brown contained. The Ravens are best when Lamar is using his feet. I also made sure Hollywood didn't get behind my secondary as he does it so well.

  • Your team fell down 7-0, then 10-3 and saw the Ravens hold you to a 3, and out early in the Second Quarter. However Donte Jackson's two interceptions on Lamar Jackson sparked your team. Can you elaborate on that sequence?

It always takes me a few drives to figure offensive, and Defensive Tendencies. However as soon as I figured out what he likes to run, my offense, and defense flipped to take the momentum.

  • You Went up 23-10, then 31-24 in the third quarter but the Ravens scored Toucchdowns to keep the pressure on how did you pull it out in the end?

I Kept making sure I was ahead of the Sticks, and kept pounding the ball with McCaffrey. That formula lead to points, even after his offense got going again.

  • The Leagues MVP, was also the Super Bowls MVP with 25 carries, 190 yards, and a Super Bowl Record 6 touchdowns. Can you talk about Christian McCaffrey?

As a new Coach of the Panthers I didn't know how good McCaffrey was until I started throwing to him out of the Backfield. He's the MVP for a reason. So dynamic with the ball in his hands, so I knew he was going to win the game for us.

  • You're the Super Bowl XXXVIII Champ, the floor is yours. Is there anything you want to say to the rest of the League?

This is a relatively young team, and only getting better so don't be surprised if i'm back here next year! #keepPounding!

Commissioners Newmoons thoughts:

Madden 21 Season II is in the record Books with the Carolina Panthers Dethroning the Packers, and now wearing the crown. Heavy is the head that wears the Crown, and now every team will be gunning for them next season. This Madden Season has once again been a success thanks to it's members, and my two top Lieutenants, JD, and Shooter. I can't say this enough, this league would not be run nearly as smoothly without the help of those two. With so much going on in the world my work schedule has been hell, but we still manage to keep the ball rolling. Of course no Madden season is without it's fair share of controversy and this one is no different. The EA Developers are once again seemingly breaking this game with every update, but yet we manage. Going forward we will be making some changes to run blocking, as well as come up with a system for developing or removing abilities, and XFactors. Guys throwing caution to the wind for Developments will be penalized. 30-50 interceptions can't not be tolerated. So Just like we took the incentive away for tanking, we will take awa the incentive for playing fast and loose. Some will love it, some will hate it. Kinda like Coffee flavored Ice cream.......

It's been a pleasure, and I'm hoping that this 32 stays for the whole cycle of Madden 21. I feel like this crew is forming up nicely, and I'm sure you guys feel the same way. I will be doing a few more meet the members so if you have not done one expect a message in your Inbox soon!

NFASL Madden 21 Season II Mid Season report

ESPN Breaking News NFASL Weekly Hosted by Tommanowns, & e30zack is in the Audio Vault on Discord. Don't miss any Episodes!

On this edition of ESPNEWS It's Week 9, the 1/2 mark of the Season and it's time to look at what's going on in the NFASL. The Green Bay Packers are the Defending Super Bowl Champions, and they look to be on a crash course again with Super Bowl XXXVIII with a perfect 8-0 record. The League is a well oiled Machine, and clicking on all cylinders. With the Lottery Sytem in place the reason to tank has been removed so I'm especially excited to see how things shake out during the home stretch. Removing the benefit of losing games will make the late season match ups simply put, exciting.

How the Lottery System will work is this:

  •  I have already purchased a Ball hopper, and will place a number assigned to any Non-Playoff Team
  • Every Team that doesn't make the Playoffs will have equal odds of getting the #1 Draft Pick
  • Draft Picks for non-playoff teams will no longer be set by Record, but by Lottery IE; 18 teams don't make the playoffs. If the Eagles finish 1-15 they will not be assured the #1 Pick, but a pick in the range of  1-18. I will place 18 balls in the hopper, and however they fall is how they will fall.
  • There is literally no reason on Earth to tank games in the NFASL, further making this the best League this side of Heaven

Lets take a look at the Conferences in the NFASL, and see how things are shaking out.

In the AFC the Baltimore Ravens are the lone undefeated teams with a perfect 8-0 record. They lead the AFC North, and Made a move to sure up their Secondary trading for Pro Bowler Justin Reid from the Houston Texans. After a Dog Fight a year ago in which 3 teams made the Playoffs the AFC North has taken a step back with Browns, Bengals, and Steelers all below .500. The Steelers however traded for Dwayne Haskins, who has struggled replacing Ben Roethlisberger. The Browns Traded Jarvis Landry to the Dolphins allowing teams to double Odell Beckham Jr. The Bengals made a splash trading for Terron Armstead as they try to develop Joe Burrow who has shown flashes, but must bring down his interception total.

The most competitive Division in the AFC is the South as every team is within 1-2 games of one another with the Titans having a slight lead. The Titans traded one of their defensive centerpieces Harold Landry III. However their Struggles begin, and end with Ryan Tannehill whose 15ints, to only 8tds has been the difference between this year, and last. The Colts after having missed the playoffs a year ago, jumped out to a great start behind rookie signal caller Jamie Newman. The Colts are also getting Major contributions from 2nd year back Jonathan Taylor, and 3rd year wide receiver Parris Campbell. The Texans jumped out to a 2-0 start, however hit a swoon losing 5 in a row. a week 9 win against the Colts could jumpstart the season for them. Giving DeShaun Watson Mark Andrews, and Rookie Speedster has helped as Watson Leads the Division in Passing Yards.

Going 16-0 in the regular season a year ago, and now being 4-4 for the New England Patriots seems like a major step back. However they are still in the lead in the East, have made a off-season trade for Drew Lock, and accumulated multiple Draft Picks trading off older players, such as Stefon Gilmore. The Patriots are doing a great job of being competitive, whilst still building for the future. The Dolphins rebuilt their offensive line from the Ground up, and the proof is in the pudding. Matt Breida is among the league leaders in rushing, and Tua Tagvaiola has shown steady improvement. The Dolphins also acquired Jarvis Landry from the Cleveland Browns, and a off-season move that will bring in Curtis Samuel could be just what the Doctor ordered for the Dolphins.

The New York Jets, and Buffalo Bills have to be disappointed with their seasons so far as 2-6 records just won't get it done. Especially for the Bills who have surrounded Josh Allen with several Talented players. Matthew Ioannidis Leads the Division in Sacks, and Trading for Christian Kirk should have given Stefon Diggs more single coverage. The Jets are in a rebuild mode, however has opted not to make many moves. Sam Darnold has regressed as he has thrown 23ints to only 9tds for the Team from Gotham

In the West the leagues two Speedsters Tyreek Hill, and Henry Ruggs III are both in the Division. Bad news for both the Chargers, and the Broncos because they have to run around and chase them. The Chiefs lead the Division right now, but know their most fierce competitior are the 6-3 Las Vegas Raiders. They match up, and are very familiar with each others playstyles, and should make for interesting match ups later on in the season. Both the Broncos, and the Chargers have made several moves opting to rebuild early, and wait for the Chiefs, and Raiders to either get a little older, or draft players more befitting a Division with those two Speed Demons.

The Broncos have traded Drew Lock to the Patriots, and will most likely look to the draft for a QB.

In the NFC the Green Bay Packers are the Only undefeated team as they have a perfect 8-0 record, and are riding high after their come from behind 4th qtr Comeback from Aaron Rodgers against the San Francisco 49ers. The Packers lead the North, and have opted to not make many changes to a Super Bowl Winning team. They have Rodgers heir apparent in waiting Jordan Love, but we are several seasons away from him taking snaps. Davante Adams has been putting together a MVP type season hauling in 36 Passes, and 7 tds. He seemingly grabs every 3rd down catch thrown at him to boot.

The Chicago Bears drafted a can't miss Quarterback in Trevor Lawrence, and so far so good as he leads the Division in Passing Yards, and Touchdowns with 2242, and 16 However he also leads the Division in Interceptions with 20 which is to be expected with a Young QB. The Bears have been very one dimensional however especially with Cordarrelle Patterson becoming their primary ball carrier whose natural position was Wide Receiver. The Detroit Lions have arguably the best Secondary in the league, and a front 7 that consists of several pass rushers. With Dak Prescott Leading the Helm the Lions could be a sleeper in the North if the coach can get his personal life in order. A schedule that is more akin to European timelines Forced L's may be in his future. The Vikings have taken a giant step backward as coach Dhontos has begun a fire sale, and is now in rebuild mode. The Vikings have parted ways with Eric Kendrics, and Off-season trades of Harrison Smith, and Yannick NgaKoue. They have accumulated a plethora of 1st Round Draft Picks, that should bode well for future seasons, however this one is all but over.

It looks like a 2 team race in the South as the Carolina Panthers, and Atlanta Falcons are in a battle for the Division. The Panthers right now lead it as Christian McCaffrey is not only the leagues leading rusher, but in the pole position for the Leagues MVP. Matthew Stafford has found second life in Carolina, and with his strong arm the Panthers have mastered playaction, which could be the reason for their success. The Falcons made the move of the season trading for the Leagues best corner in Stephon Gilmore a move made for the playoffs as the Falcons learned a year ago. With Gilmore in the secondary shutting down the opposing teams best receiver the Falcons are top 10 in defensive yards. Tampa Bay has played muscial chairs at Quarterback and the Team has struggled because of it. At 3-3-1 the Buccaneers are not out of it, but the General manager is antsy, and has made several mind boggling moves with the team. Not to mention benching Hall of Famer Tom Brady... The New Orleans Saints could not have handled the retirement of Drew Brees worse, as they did not set themselves up for the future, even though they were in position to draft one of the highly rated QBs. instead they have handed over the reins to Jared Goff, but their troubles are deeper than the Signal caller position. When you have the Leagues worst defense, and a 0-8 record changes are not only expected, but imminent.

In the NFC East the Washington Football Team EST 1932 has a slight lead over the New York Giants. However it should close as the Giants play the Eagles in week 9. The WFT traded Dwayne Haskins opting to go with their 1st round pick D'Eriq King. King has reminded anyone who watches him of RGIII circa 2012 as he not only leads the Division in Completion Percentage, but the entire league at 81% King Leads the Division in Touchdown Passes with 17, to only 5 ints and leads the League in Total QBR at 136.0, over Pat Mahomes's 135.1. The Giants have opted to become multi Faceted, and has gotten Daniel Jones more into the Offense  as he leads the Division with 1644 yards. The Giants still go as the Reigning MVP Saquon Barkley 3rd in the league in rushing with 1095yards, however he has not been putting up numbers like he had a year ago. As we get closer to the Playoffs expect his Carries to double, and his Yardage. The Dallas Cowboys traded Dak Prescott giving the Reins to Ohio States Justin Fields. Fields has shown that he is highly capable of making every throw in the league, not to mention an athleticism that has to be gameplanned for. The Fault lies at the feet of the Cowboys Headcoach who has seen his team in every game, but failed to make the proper play down the stretch to pull out a victory. The Philadelphia Eagles surprisngly have the leagues best Defense yards wise, but is the worst in Offensive points scored.

The NFC West is a two team race between the San Francisco 49ers, and the Seattle Seahawks. Both teams are in a dead heat, however the Seahawks made the first Salvo in an arms race trading for Eric Kendricks. The Niners Reliant on Raheem Mostert has vowed to open up the offense, and not be so one dimensional. Jimmy G has lived up to his part of the bargain as he has thrown 27tds in 9 games. The Seahawks are dangerous in the Division with the addition of Kendricks to a Defense that already has Jamal Adams the Seahawks are the favorites in my eyes to come out of the West. Icycca has to play to his full potential however, especially in big games which he has failed to win consistently. The Arizona Cardinals at 3-4 are still in the mix, but has already started dismantling the team trading away Christian Kirk, and has made a off-season move that will send Andy Isabella to the Vikings. With DeAndre Hopkins, and kyler Murray these moves are head scratchers indeed. The Los Angeles Rams at 1-7 are for all intents and purposes out of the playoff race. However they are not sitting idly by. They drafted Trey Lance in the Off-season so they are set at Quarterback. They have also been busy in terms of trades they picked up Harold Landry III to add to a defense that consists of Aaron Donald, and Jalen Ramsey. The Rams if they can get their act together has a very competitive team, but the Headcoach plays fast, and loose which may not be the best way to win in that division.

Team Statistics: In the NFL the teams with the best stats normally have the best seasons. This year is no different. It takes every aspect of a team to win games, and while you can have one do well and not the other  over a full season it will show and prove in your final win loss record. So far the tops in the league are those we are about to show here. Let's take a look.
