NFASL Season 7 AFC Preview

The NFASL is entering season 7, and the Baltimore Ravens are the Defending Super Bowl Champs! . After a string of seasons with the NFC team winning it all, the AFC has made a statement this madden that they are the stronger conference winning 4 of the past 6 Super Bowls. The all-time Superbowl wins for each conference is 19-16 in favor of the NFC. If this trend continues the AFC will be tying that up this Madden.  We've never gone this far into Madden, so I'm interested to see which teams will separate themselves as building a team to compete over the long haul changes things. With that being said, let's take a look inside the AFC, as we will deep dive the NFC on tomorrow.

AFC North:

  • Baltimore Ravens 14-2 Headcoach Tommanowns (Division Winner)

The Baltimore Ravens won the Division, as well as Super Bowl XXXV and will look to go back to back. With several players players ready to hit free agency, and only 6 million in Cap the Ravens are in a position where they are going to have to make some hard decisions in the not so distant future.

  • Cincinatti Bengals 10-6 Headcoach bgreat238 (Wildcard)

The Cincinattie Bengals made the Wildcard round a year ago leaning on one of the best Secondaries in the game. They Traded with the Dallas Cowboys moving Troy Pride in what many believed was a cost cutting move. The Bengals are lead by Jacob Burreaux, and Joe Mixon on the offensive side of the ball, and should be in the mix all season long.

  • Pittsburgh Steelers 10-6 Headcoach Hac_3443

The Pittsburgh Steelers headcoach Hunter Clark has deemed himself the stone Cold Steve Austin of the league as he feels he was wrongfully given a force loss a year ago that cost his team a spot in the post season. With the Steel Curtain 2.0 the highest point scoring defense in the league, he just might have a point. However when your nickname is last game Hac, don't be complaining if you catch a Force L every now, and again.

  • Cleveland Browns 4-12 Headcoach Papalon24

The Browns after a having a season to forget a year ago made a major move in the off-season sending Kyler Murray to the Dolphins to for Tua Tagovailoa to become the signal caller for the Franchise. That Move should pair up Tuas strong arm to the Speed of KJ Hamler who had a break out season a year ago. The Browns drafted a generational talent Marvin Vincent out Wake forest to help sure up a struggling secondary, but find themselves in a bind as they are tied up with an albatross of a contract for Myles Garrett that pays him 40 million dollars a year, and no money to sign a litany of free agents on their team.

Commissioners Newmoons Predicition:

  1. Baltimore Ravens
  2. Pittsburgh Steelers
  3. Cincinatti Bengals
  4. Cleveland Browns

AFC West:

  • Kansas City Chiefs 11-5 Headcoach CapnClutchKC (Division Winner)

The Kansas City Chiefs are lead by the Face of the League Patrick Mahomes, and last season was no different. Mahomes put up stellar numbers a year ago, and will look to do the same thing this year. With a team that has speed at every position that features Tyreek Hill, and Mecole hardman the Chiefs are a rare team that you can't get ready for. They added Todd Gurley in the Offseason to give them a tough yards back that they feel as though they missed in the playoffs a year ago. The AFC West has become one of the best divisions in football so where every yard matters, Gurley could pay dividends.

  • Los Angeles Chargers 10-6 Headcoach Yell_2 (Wildcard)

The Los Angeles Chargers made the playoffs on true grit a season ago, and will look to build on that run this year. They have everything you need as Sammy Baugh Jr., Jerion Ealy, and KJ Hill have developed into their own big 3. Throw in a side of JuJu Smith schuster, and you can see why so many are bullish on the Chargers. They traded for Denzel Ward in the off-season figuring that jalen Raegor, and Tyreek hill are not getting any slower any time soon.

  • Oakland Raiders 9-7 Headcoach e30zack

The Oakland Raiders lost 4 straight down the stretch and saw what started as a promising season diminish into one of anguish. With speed at every level the Raiders missing the playoffs was surprising to say the least. With Bazooka Arm Tyree Jackson, Wandale Robinson, DeAndre Hopkins, and Jalen Reagor in the Skills position they should be in line for a Super Bowl this season. However the West however is not for the feint of heart, and any slip up can see you home for the holidays.

  • Denver Broncos 6-10 Headcoach Hirschyyy

The Denver Broncos defense was record breaking bad a season ago, however their head coach stated that his team is starting to figure it out. With Von Miller in his 14th season, and most likely his final year the Broncos would love to send him to the retirement home with another Super Bowl Trophy. However unless they can sure up their Defense it doesn't matter how many points they score, if they can't stop a nose bleed.

Commissioners Newmoons Predicition:

  1. Oakland Raiders
  2. Kansas city Chiefs
  3. Los Angeles Chargers
  4. Denver Broncos

AFC South:

  • Houston Texans 11-5 Headcoach Maddenrox9 (Division Winner)

The Houston Texans a year ago found life difficult without DeShaun Watson behind Center, but eventually settled on Kellen Mond who played for the Carolina Panthers a year ago. The Texans picked up Aaron Jones in the offseason moving on from Phillip Lindsay who played well in his time in Houston. The Texans will be looking to get back to the Super Bowl, as they won 4 games down the stretch last season to win the Division.

  • Indianapolis Colts 10-6 Headcoach Gaberooni54 (Wildcard)

The indianapolis Colts were leading the Division the entire season, but faltered down the stretch allowing the Houston Texans to win the Division, and the Colts home for the Post season. Failing down the stretch the Colts shifted their strategy by drafting 6'4 Bryan Otting out of  USF to take over for the aging Russell Wilson who will play mentor for the Young Quarterback. With NyHeim Hines, and Derrick Henry in the Backfield the Otting will have a healthy support group, while he figures out the league

  • Jacksonville Jaguars 7-9 Headcoach ThePacificCowboy

The Jaguars came one strong down the stretch a season ago winning their last 3 games, however it was a little to late. At 7-9 the Jaguars feel as though they let a season slip away, and has vowed not to let that happen again. They spent major dollars for Journeymen Sam Darnold playing for his 3rd team in 4 years giving him a 4 year 70 million dollar contract. The Jaguars are starting to reach the point where rebuilding comes to mind as their defense might best be described as aging, but still playing at a high level. With D.J.Chark becoming arguably the Leagues best receiver, reminding people of Randy Moss with his deep catch ability They could be in line for another Super Bowl this season.

  • Tennessee Titans 2-14 Headcoach Jace_Curry25

The Titans had a season to forget as they went 2-14, and came into the off season looking for answers in multiple places. Their first order of business was to keep developing DJ Galeilei who surprised everyone a season ago with his Growth from his rookie season to his Sophomore year. Now stringing wins together is the next step for this young QB. With the 5th pick in the first round they drafted D.J. Weston to go along with a already very good secondary that consists of JD Downs, and Justin Layne. The Titans could surprise some teams this year.

Commissioners Newmoons Predicition:

  1. Indianapolis Colts
  2. Houston Texans
  3. Tennessee Titans
  4. Jacksonville Jaguars

AFC East:

  • New England Patriots 11-5 Headcoach ATK133 (Division Winner)

The New England Patriots were top dog in the Division a year ago, but there were several teams that looked like they will be taking the next step. With Jake Fromm making a name for himself the Patriots feel as though they are set at Quarterback for several years to come. Deebo Samuel, Nick Chubb, NKeal Harry are just a few of the big named players on the offensive side of the ball. However the Patriots make their bones on defense as they are bookended by two of the leagues best pass rushers. Josh Kaindoh, and Chase Winovich have bbeen a dynamic Duo, and could get this team over the top this year.

  • Buffalo Bills 9-7 Headcoach OffensiveDom

After several seasons of Struggling with losing records the Bills had a good season a year ago, but still came up short missing the playoffs allowing the Patriots to win the Division for 6 straight seasons. With Justin Fields leading the team in now his 5th season, the Bills could be on par for a deep playoff run. First things first however as winning the Division has never been harder. There are no cake walks so expect every game to be played with playoff intensity.

  • New York Jets 8-8 Headcoach Traylonakanana

The New York Jets were 8-8 on the season and feel as though they were 1 or 2 plays away from making the post season. Dwayne Haskins came on in year 5, and looks like he is finally ready to lead a franchise into the promised land. His Connection with Odell Beckham Jr now in his 11th year has been vital to the success of Haskins. with the Division lock tight there is no room for error, and the jets just might fool a few people this season.

  • Miami Dolphins 7-9 Headcoach I757IMonster

The Miami Dolphins were one of the leagues most dangerous teams down the stretch a year ago as they relished the role of spoiler, ending several teams playoff bids. Now however it's time for the Dolphins to take the next step, and they made a move that could do just that. Trading for Kyler Murray will open up every aspect of their offense making them one of the leagues most dangerous teams.

Commissioners Newmoons Predicition:

  1. Buffalo Bills
  2. New England Patriots
  3. New York Jets
  4. Miami Dolphins

NFASL Season 7 Kick Off Game

The NFASL is Back!!!!! The New Season is upon us, and right now there are 32 teams all feeling like they have, a chance at winning the Next big game. Of course we all know that in the end there is only one team, that gets to hang their banner in the most glorious Hall of Champions!  Last season it was the Baltimore Ravens, and their undsiputed G.O.A.T. headcoach Tommanowns winner of Six Super Bowls in the NFASL! Tommanowns has won Super Bowls V, X, XI, XX, XXX, and now XXXV. No easy task as all 32 teams are vying to be the top dog, and last season was no different. However that was last year, as a new day breaks across the horizon as Season 7 is now underway! The NFASL free agency period had a minor hiccup with the Panthers owner getting themselves removed for sheer stupidity. No sweat though, as the League members follows the plain rules laid out. The NFASL Rookie draft went on without a hitch, and we were able to wrap things up fairly quickly with this being one of the more lesser drafts in recent memory.

As always a new season means a new batch of players as for some strange reason members leave the best league on earth of their own accord, or do something ridiculous to get themselves removed. Welcome to S6ixRing7 headcoach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who made his debut last season with a 1-10 record, but now will have a full off season under his belt, and will control a team from week 1. Jace_Curry25 is in the Same boat as the Tampa Coach as he joined half way through the season a year ago, and has posted a 2-7 record since joining the league. He will also relish an opportunity to start fresh, and with a full off-season under his belt he has begun the process of making the team his. The Carolina Panthers are now being coached by Ronnie_Ransom who has been in the league before, but life got in the way, and asked to be removed from the league until things got back on track. They are, and he is. he will find life difficult in the NFC South as the Saints have once again rebuilt a team to contend.

With The new Season Big moves are made, and this season was no different. The Miami Dolphins traded for Kyler Murray, and with the way the Dolphins came on late last season there could be a new team at the top of the standings when the season ends. The Jaguars gave a big contract to free agent Sam Darnold opting to go for veteran leadership on a team that is ready to compete after a down season a year ago. Toddy Gurley after winning the Super Bowl in Baltimore last season got a nice new free agent contract to try to bring the Chip to Kansas City. The Niners opted for pure unadulterated speed as they traded for one of the best young talents in the game as Rondale Moore will now be catching passes on the Gold Coast. Nick Bosa is now wreaking havoc in the Windy City as the Bears are building a team to take on the Packers in the North. Denzel Ward is playing in Los Angeles with the Chargers as Tyreek Hill, andJalen Raegor has given Chargers headcoach Yell_2 nightmares.  .

The NFL Rookie Draft went on without a Hitch as The San Francisco 49ers with two picks in the top 5 drafted Zee Money 6'4", 250LB Right END out of East Carolina with the #1 pick. They also drafted Center Daniel Brackett out of Oregon to help build their aging O-line. Good luck to all, and let's have a great season as usual!.

                               .Bears set the Tone!.

Baltimore, MD. In the NFASL Kick Off Game the Chicago Bears send a message defeating the Super Bowl XXXV Champions the Baltimore Ravens 41-21. On a night where the Ravens received their banner for winning Super Bowl XXXV they came out flat on both sides of the ball, and the Bears took advantage. The Bears jumped out to a 34-7 halftime lead and never looked back! The Bears were lead by their up and down Quarterback Josh Allen who started out the season, and game on fire. Allen went 13-15 to start the game, and the Ravens were left scratching their heads as they thought they had the best Quarterback on the field. Allen finished the game with 333yards passing, and 2 touchdowns with a 140.7 total QBR.

Allen outplayed the Ravens dynamic passer Lamar Jackson who stuggled in the loss foing 11-21, 192yards, 2 touchdowns, but 3 ints. Jackson was also bottled up in the run game rushing 4 times for zero yards, and a fumble. The Bears added the Bosa Brothers and paired them on the D-Line which should be a boon for the pass rush. With the Bosa Brothers creating havoc the No Fly Zone just might once again take up air space in the North.

The Baltimore Ravens got a great contribution from their home run hitter Anthony McFarland who was a blur on the ground rushing for 193 yards, on only 13 carries. with the Bears pass rush being so ferocious the Ravens headcoach has to be kicking himself for not running more. Especially with Speedster Hollywood Brown getting bottled up. Brown finished with 2 touchdowns, but only had 3 catches for 54 yards which is way off his last seasons average.

The Baltimore Ravens wiill look to get back on the winning side of things as they take on the Gotham City Jets in week 2. The Bears will look to keep the train rolling as they will be at home against the 1-0 Dallas Cowboys.

The new season is upon us, every team has a chance to win, and optimism is renewed!  Until next time this has been a Sim Athletics Network Production.

Tommanowns   XXXV

On February 24th, 2020 the Baltimore Ravens won Super Bowl XXXV on Madden 20 PS4! The Coach of the Team was Tommanowns who has now won sixth Super Bowl, and did it in dominating fashion going 14-2 on the season.  The Ravens defeated the 15-1 Green Bay Packers coached by spyversusspy by a score of 38-31. The MVP was Lamar Jackson who finished with 203 yards passing, 2 touchdowns, and 8 carries for 47yards, and a touchdown.  Congratulations on your Super Bowl Win!

Sixth time the Charm!!

Super Bowl XXXV Miami, FL. In the NFASL Super Bowl XXXV, The Baltimore Ravens added another Banner in the Hall of Champions defeating the Green Bay Packers 38-31!  The Games MVP Lamar Jackson outplayed the leagues MVP Baker Mayfield as Jackson Passed for 2 touchdowns, and 203 yards in the win. Add in another 8 rushes for 47 yards, and a touchdown on the ground, and you can see how he was given games MVP! Jacksons Dual threat ability didn't just start in this game as he has been doing it all season long. The Ravens were 14-2 on the season having the AFC's Best record. It's only fitting that they win the Super Bowl giving the AFC 4 in 6 seasons, and closing the gap in the Hall of Champions. In the Game the Ravens jumped out to a 14-0 lead, and looked as though they were going to run away with the game. However just as quick as they got that lead the Packers came storming back and tied it up in the blink of an eye. From there it was a game of back and forth as neither defense could stop each others offense as efficiency became the word of the day. The Ravens got a huge contribution from 4th year player Anthony McFarland who had a monster game rushing 17 times fore 173 yards, and a touchdown. If not for a fumble he could have just as easily garnered Super Bowl MVP himself. When you average 10.2 yards per carry in the biggest game of the year, MVP should be in your future. The Ravens also got help from their receiving corp as Jackson was equally distributing the ball to whoever was on the field. The Big Play was to Mycah Pittman who had the games go ahead touchdown, but TE Mark Andrews, and Hollywood Brown, and TE Hudson Henry all got in on the act.

The Packers of course were lead by the Leagues MVP Baker Mayfield, and he did not have a bad game, just not the game we are used to seeing. Mayfield was 13/20 for 197 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception in the game with a 93.1 QB Rating. Not bad, but not leagues MVP Caliber. With Baker seemingly mortal the Packers needed to get going elsewhere and they leaned heavily on their running game opting to hand the ball off to Jermar Jefferson. Jefferson nearly got the Packers to the promised land, as he rushed 21 times for 138 yards, and 2 touchdowns. The sequence of the game that most will remember however is the Packers being stopped on 3 straight run plays at the 2 yard line late in the game. The Packers went to their bread and butter HB Dive however were stopped on downs. Many pundits will say that the Packers should have taken the Field Goal, but these New Young headcoaches are doing things based on analytics. Force the other team in this case the Ravens to go 99 yards even if they don't score. Of course, and right on queue Anthony McFarland took the next play to the house, and gave the Ravens back control of the game. The Packers had to play from behind from that point forward, and they were never able to concede control of the game again!

The Baltimore Ravens were coached by Tommanowns, who has cemented himself as the best in the Leagues History. G.O.A.T.  Congratulations on winning Super Bowl XXXV, and hanging your Sixth banner in the Hall of Champions!

Lets have a conversation with Super Bowl XXXV winner Coach Tommanowns:

  • You won Super Bowl XXXV, what was your gameplan going in?

The Game Plan was to make the Packers win by nickel, and diming up the field rather than allow a 1 play touchdown. On offense, allow McFarland to wear out the front 7 of Green Bay, and set up the passing game.

  • You jumped out to a 14 -0 lead over the packers, and watched it evaporate just as quick. What was going through your mind?

After getting out to a 14 point lead, I knew that the Packers offense was explosive enough to get back in the game at a moments notice. I compounded that by turning the ball over on consecutive drives, and was thinking that if I just calm down, and run the ball, I can keep the ball out of Baker Mayfields hands and limit their scoring opportunities.

  • late in the game with the score tied the Packers opted to go for a touchdown, in place of taking a 3 point lead. You stopped him, and scored on the the next play. Bring me through that sequence.

That seqquence frustrated me honestly lol, because everyone and their mother knew HB dive was coming, but he ran it 3 times in a row! My Defense has high Play recognition, so after the first time they were ready to be gap disciplined, and leave no running lanes for Jefferson. Once I got the ball back, I was running to create breathing room, but McFarland has too much agility for a safety to make a play 1-on-1 in space, and the rest is history!

  • Lamar Jackson garnered MVP how was he able to do it?

Lamar didn't need to throw for 400yards, and 6 touchdowns to win with this team. He Just needed to make the timely throwsI knew he was capable of. My Offensive line deserves a ton of credit for being downhill run blockers, but also keeping lamar clean in the Pocket. I played conservatively in the pass game through the the first 3 quarters to set up the eventual game winning pass to Pittman. Lamar used his dual threat talents to torment opponents all throughout this run.

  • You are the Madden Season XXXV Champion. The Floor is yours is there anything you wan to say to the rest of the league?

I'd like the league to know that I don't take these Super Bowls for granted, because I know just how hard the guys in here wort to achieve this goal. And there was no chance I could let a kid that looks like Toby beat me!

Commissioner Newmoons thoughts:

Tommanowns is one of the most Senior members in the league, and has been with me since near the beginning of the creation of the NFASL. So Let me be the first to say again congratulations! Thomas Jones IV has posted his 6th Championship in the NFASL. let that sink in. He already cemented himself as the GOAT in the League, but the six Time Champion has just a nice "Ring' to it.  Tomman has one 5 of his 6 Super Bowls with his beloved Ravens Franchise which has to be all the more sweeter. The Ravens were 14-2 on the season, and did it without much controversy. No accusations of Cheese, no quitting, not incessant arguing in chat, which is too his credit, and really what the NFASL is all about. He has also added Podcast host to his repertoire as Tom Jones Presents sportIVation has been a rousing success. I can't tell you how much it pains me to deal with the constant complaining about how the game is trash, this guy cheeses, he broke the rules, etc...... The rules are all in place for a reason, not just because. I have never not once done anything just because. Everything is painstakingly thought out with no regard to actually what I want. I only ever do what is best for the league. I have had some throw down arguments in the Commissioners chat with my two lieutenants JD, and Shooter about how the league should be run. I don't always win either. Every now and again Haleys Comet frequency they actually come up with a good idea, that makes more sense than mine. But like I have said in the past I'm smart enough to realize a good idea when I see it so the credit is still mine. My father used to say don't be stuck on stupid. Good Advice for any growing lad, or league. I have sat back and watched how the games are being played in the league, and how the game of Madden has evolved to allow such trivial seemingly easy to exploit game design. In no other Madden did I leave sliders the same except this one which has been a mistake. Too many youtube videos, too poor programming, and too much cheese to allow that. Next season there will be a drastic change in the slider set, to stop exactly that. Some will love it, and some will hate it, but CEST LA Vie!

The Baltimore Ravens will be enshrined into the Hall of Champions to be ever remembered as the Team that won Super Bowl XXXV, On February 24th, of our Lord 2020.  The Baltimore Ravens were 14-2 on the season, under the Tutelage of coach Tommanowns, whom has hung his 6th banner. Once again Congratulations on your Super Bowl Victory! As always this has been a Sim Athletics Network Production. It's been grand, God Bless you all, and see you Next season.

NFASL Playoffs

The NFASL Playoffs are here! The Houston Texans are the Defending Super Bowl Champs, and will have a tougher time to go back to back as the AFC has become a all out Thunder Dome! These Playoffs are showcasing young, and up comine talent with a bunch of new faces, to include teams, and Coaches! We will miss some of the Old Mainstays like the always entertaining Kaliko_420, and the San Francisco 49ers! Or the 4 time Champion Coach Jady_Tru and the Chicago Bears who had a season of discontent! We will even miss the worst Giants User in History Active, errrr THE-KiiD-Kenny whose name change will take some getting used to! But enough about those that didn't make it, lets have a look at who did! The NFC is top heavy as hell with the Saints, and The Packers both having 15-1 records, with the Saints squeaking out for the #1 seed, and homefield advantage throughout the playoffs! The Packers wide open offense has been feared, and should make for a high scoring game no matter who he plays. In the AFC the Ravens are the Creme of the crop as they have the Leagues most dynamic player in Lamar Jackson, and speed at every level! The AFC has pretty much become a No holds barred Steel Caged match with only two teams in the Entire conference with less than 6 wins! That means every game, and I mean every game is Tough as F-ing Nails, and should bare out this time of season with these teams being battle hardened! The Field is Set, and this is the Tournament of Champions! The Hall of Champions is the Prize, and only the Good lord knows who will hang their banner at the end of this Season! Good Luck to all combatants!

In the NFC the Teams are:

  1. South - New Orleans Saints 15-1
  2. North -  Green Bay Packers 15-1
  3. West  - Arizona Cardinals 12-4
  4. East   - Washington Redskins 11-5
  5. Wildcard - Seattle Seahawks 11-5
  6. Wildcard - Minnesota Vikings 10-6

In the AFC the Teams are :

  1. North - Baltimore Ravens 14-2
  2. West - Kansas City Chiefs 11-5
  3. East - New England Patriots 11-5
  4. South - Houston Texans - 11-5
  5. Wildcard - Cincinatti Bengals - 10-6
  6. Wildcard - Los Angeles Chargers 10-6

The stage is set, and the Hall of Champions is the prize! Good luck to all participants in the Leagues 35th season!Lets take a look at the strengths of each Conference

 Team Record Coach Team Notes
14-2 Tommanowns The Ravens are lead by Lamar Jackson whose Dual threat ability will make him a handful to deal with in these playoffs. However the moment you over commit Hollywood Brown, and Anthony McFarland will take the top off of any defense!
11-5 CapnClutchKC The Kansas City Chiefs head coach CapnClutchKC has everything but a banner in the Hall of Champions! with his team getting older this is the Season that he will go all out to get it done!
11-5 ATK133 Jake Fromm has become a household name in New England finding himself second in the league in Passing with 5509 yards, and 47 touchdowns. However when you are the guy replacing arguably the best QB in History Tom Brady, passing Yards will not be enough!
10-6 maddenrox9 Life has been dificult for the Defending Champs without Deshaun Watson to include a QB Change early in the year. Enter Rookie J.J. Jasper and life has changed in Houston. He will have large shoes to fill as the last time Watson touched the Field in the Playoffs he brought the Banner Home!
10-6 bgreat238 The Bengals gave the Ball to Jacob Burreaux and as they say the rest is history! They will be making the playoffs with one of the best Secondariess in League history, in a passing league that can only give a boon to their chances! Winning from the Wildcard spot isn't easy, but it has been done!
10-6 Yell_2 The Chargers used a Hell of a run at the end of the season to make the post season, and they will look to make the most of it in their game! Coach Yells Defeatist attitude may come back to bite him, however! hand the Ball to the Offeensive player of the year Jerrion Ealy, and let him carry the load!

Teams Record Coaches Team Notes
15-1 EddieHendriix The Saints are the Leagues bet team with a 15-1 record, and a championship pedigree headcoach! Joe Burreaux has taken that next step as he was 5th in the league in MVP voting, and 1st in the Confeernce as best Quarterback! That confidence boost should make getting these Saints out of the playoffs near impossible!
15-1 spyversusspy The heavily awarded Packers Team who only went from Brett Favre, Aaron Rodgers, and now for the second straight year League MVP Baker Mayfield! At 15-1 and nearly every offensive record known to man the Packers are arguably the most dangerous Team entering these Palyoffs!
12-4 maddengoat35 Any time you win the NFC West you are a candidate to win it all in the league, and this year is no differentt! Beating out the likes of the Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles Rams, and San Francisco 49ers is no small task. Look for the Cardinals to hand the Ball to Isiah Spiller, and play tough nosed Defense!,
11-5 Newmoon001 The Washington Redskins moved on from Dwyne Haskins after drafting him high in the first round a few seasons ago! That move paid off as building the leagues best offensive Line, and a tough nosed running back in Derrius Guice as been the formula for the team in Washington
11-5 IcyyCA The Seahawks moved on from Russell Wilson, gave the Ball to Taulia Tagvailoa and and opted to trade within the Division to get George Kittle,to go along with DK. Metcalf and Christian McCaffrey! Overnight they made themselves one of the leagues most dangerous Offenses.
10-6 Kevin_3447 The Vikings have built a winner behind the solid right arm or Jordan Love as he taken over as face of the franchise that once belonged to Dalvin Cook. With the Vikings having Jerry Jeudy, and Tight End Brevin Jordan if they win it all don't act surprised!

Team Statistics: In the NFL the teams with the best stats normally have the best seasons. This year is no different. NFASL ESPNEWS

ESPN Breaking News The 2nd episode SportIVation aired produced and distributed Tom Jones (Tommanowns - Baltimore Ravens).

On this edition of ESPNEWS It's Week 8, the 1/2 mark of the Season and it's time to look at what's going on in the NFASL. With Major changes this year to personell, and major moves in terms of coaches going from one team to another things could not be more interesting. The Houston Texans are are the Defending Super Bowl Champions winner of Super Bowl XXXIV, and so far they have been less than stellar posting a 4-4 record at the halfway point. The Super Bowl Hangover is in full effect for the Defending Champion, but they are not out of the race by far.   At the Half way point teams are starting to separate themselves with a few teams showing they are the creme of the Crop. Some of those teams are the New Orleans Saints, and Green Bay Packers who are the only two undefeated teams in the league at 6-0. The New England Patriots, Los Angeles Chargers, and Kansas City Chiefs are all 6-1. The Buffalo Bills are 5-1, and look like their Super Bowl Winning coach is back!   Of Course for every yen, there is a yang with some of the teams struggling mightily in this season. The Philadelphia Eagles, Tennessee Titans, and Tampa Buccaneers are all winless at the halfway point. The Titans are looking for a headcoach, and the Buccaneers just welcomed S6ixringy7 as their head honcho. The Carolina Panthers, Miami Dolphins, and surprisingly the Chicago Bears, and Los Angeles Rams all have 1 win.  It's still early however, so if these teams want to have any post season success they have to turn things around now. The other option is these teams will have to get into the War Room and work on their draft boards, and Free agency to make sure they don't have a season like this again in the future!

Lets take a look at the Conferences in the NFASL, and see how things are shaking out.

American Football Conference

    AFC North

  • Cincinatti Bengals 5-2
  • Pittsburgh Steelers 5-2
  • Baltimore Ravens 5-2
  • Cleveland Browns 3-4

AFC South

  • Indianapolis Colts 5-2
  • Houston Texans 4-4
  • Jacksonville Jaguars 2-4
  • Tennessee Titans 0-7

AFC East

  • New England Patriots 6-1
  • Buffalo Bills 5-1
  • New York Jets 3-4
  • Miami Dolphins 1-6

AFC West

  • Los Angeles Chargers 6-1
  • Kansas City Chiefs 6-1
  • Oakland Raiders 3-3
  • Denver Broncos 2-5

In the AFC The Battle rages as it seems every team is in contention. The AFC North is a three way tie, the AFC West is a 2 way tie, and the East, and South are battling it out with teams right behind one another in the standings.

In the North Jacob Burreaux of the Cincinatti Bengals leads all passers with 1937 yards passing and 16 touchdowns. Lamar Jacksons Dual Threat ability still puts him in the lead as he has 1603 yards passing, and is 5th in the Division in rushing with 390 yards. The Pittsburgh Steelers with their scoring defense, and penchant for big plays on offense could put their long time headcoach in line for his first super Bowl Appearance. The Browns are looking for consistency out of their Star QB Kyler Murray, but have modeled their team after the Baltimore Ravens. This Division is pretty much up for grabs, and the Browns feel as though it's theirs to win .

In the AFC South the QBs are struggling wit the Defending Super Bowl Champs Houston Texans finding life difficult without one of the leagues Best DeSean Watson as Feleipe Franks has struggled since taking over for the Traded Watson. In the South no QB has more Touchdowns than Interceptions so if any of these teams want to go on a run, they will have to rectify that immediately.

In the AFC East it's no wonder that both the New England Patriots, and Buffalo Bills only have 1 loss between them. Both Quarterbacks Jake Fromm, and Justin Fields are playing at a high level. They have been getting the ball to their big play receivers Curtis Samuel, and CeeDee Lamb which has been a boon for their offenses. The Jets are still in the mix as Dwayne Haskins is looking for a second life in the Big apple. The Miami Dolphis have been openly talking about trading their young QB Tua Tagovlailoa which can't bode well for the future of their franchise.

In the AFC West the Patrick Mahomes has been playing like a MVP with 20tds, to only 4 ints and has the Chiefs out to a 6-1 record. They find themselves behind the Los Angeles Chargers in the the Division as a big time win in primetime put this loaded team on the top. Sammy Baugh J.R. and the pure unadulterated Speeded of Jerrion Ealy has been to much for opposing Defenses. The Raiders are not far behind but will need to close the gap before they find themselves out of the playoffs. The Denver Broncos has the leagues best offense, and the leagues worst defense. If they can put up a little resistance they could be a team in the future to watch out for.

National Football Conference

NFC South

  • New Orleans Saints 6-0
  • Atlanta Falcons 2-4
  • Carolina Panthers 1-6
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers 0-6

NFC North

  • Green Bay Packers 6-0
  • Minnesota Vikings 5-2
  • Detroit Lions 2-4
  • Chicago Bears 1-6

NFC East

  • Washington Redskins 5-2
  • New York Giants 4-3
  • Dallas Cowboys 4-3
  • Philadelphia Eagles 0-8

NFC West

  • Arizona Cardinals 4-2
  • Seattle Seahawks 4-3
  • San Francisco 49ers 2-5
  • Los Angeles Rams 1-5

In the NFC the conference is top heavy with 8 teams below .500 never a good sign for a division as Competition breeds champions. With 5 teams with 1 or fewer wins, things are looking bleak in the Once mighty NFC.

In the NFC North the Baker Mayfield Lead Green Bay Packers have been on a tear as their all or none offense has wreaked havoc on opposing secondaries. Baker Mayfield is in line for Leagues MVP, and their coach could be up for a second banner hanging in the Hall of Champions. The Minnesota Vikings are 2 games behind the Packers with Justin Love playing well, but will need to get the two headed monster of Dalvin Cook, and D'Andre Swift across the goalline if they want to pound teams into submission. The 4 time Super Bowl Winning Bears headcoach has found himself in a rebuilding year and at 1-6 have found himself in a situation that many didn't believe could happen. The Coach of the Lions has the arguably the best young QB prospect in recent years, but he has yet to figure out the complex Defenses of the NFL. If Trevor Lawrence is unable to reverse his penchant for throwing the Intserception his career may be short lived.

in the NFC South the New Orleans Saints are rolling with a 6-0 record, Joey Burreaux has cemented himself as one of the leagues Best, and Alvin Kamara is building on his already Hall of Fame career. unfortunately for the rest of the Division they only have 3 wins between them, and that lack of competition for the Saints could come back to bite them in the playoffs. Poor QB Play has been the Culprit as DeSean Watson was supposed to change the fortunes in Atlanta. He has played well, but no where close to the MVP caliber seasons that he had in Houston. The Panthers Have Kellen Mond, and the Buccaneers have Jack Miller both Young inexperienced QBs which is always a learning process. Their success may come in the future, but as of now they need to find a offense that fits them.

In the NFC West the Arizona Cardinals lead the division Isaiah Spiller making his bid for MVP. The Cardinals are doing it the old fashioned way with Defense, and a strong run game as their second year Quarterback Carson Beck is the lowest rated. The Seahawks are hot on their heels behind a dominant season from D.K. Metcalf, and Taulia Tagovailoa brother of Tua. With the Niners having another down year the Seahawks have to feel as though this is their Division to win. The Niners headcoach, two time Super Bowl winning headcoach Kaliko should be back from his hiatus, to only find his niners 3 games back, and a half a season to catch up. The Rams under the tutelage of coach Dino has been pedestrian, but with arguably the best collection of talent in the league, they cannot be counted out no matter what their record is.

In the NFC East the Washington Redskins lead the Division at 5-2 but it has been smoke and mirrors. Bryce Young has struggled in his second season as QB, and will need to get control his penchant for the Turnover if they want to hold off both the Dallas Cowboys, and the New York Giants. The Giants are a game behind the Redskins, and with Saquon Barkley, leading the Division in Rushing they will always have a chance. The Giants have been trying to turn the team over to 5 year pro Jalen Hurts, however if they want success they may have to go by the way of Strong Defense, good rushing game. The Dallas Cowboys also find themselves  1 game behind the Redskins, and tied with the Giants. The Cowboys have Justin Herbert whose arm strength is second to none. being ablt to hit any throw makes this Cowboys team extremely dangerous, especially with the addition of Chris Tyree home run running ability.  The Final team in the East are the Winless Eagles and all of his losses can be squarely placed on the right arm of Carson Wentz who has thrown a 2nd worse in the league 26 interceptions.

ESPNEWS JD's 1st qtr All pro team

ESPN Breaking News The debut of Unnecessary Roughness was aired to a rousing success, produced by Tom Jones (Tommanowns - Baltimore Ravens).

On this edition of ESPNEWS It's the 1st quarter of the season so that's means it's time for JD's 1st Quarter All Pro Team! The Youth Movement is underway as the League has begun the transition from the stars you used to know, to the young Guns taking up all the air time on ESPN! There are 3 undefeated teams early on such as the Kansas City Chiefs, so it's no surprise to See Patrick Mahomes, and MeCole Hardman On that list. However the leagues reigning MVP Baker Mayfield is on pace to break his All time record of 81 touchdown Passes a year ago, and after his Primetime performance earlier in the week it's no wonder why. The Packers are a league best 5-0, and with their offense nearly unstoppable they could be in line for a Deep playoff run. Be Careful however as you win, the Magnifying glass gets focused in on you, and there have already been some rumblings. The Running Backs are lead by Chargers breakout player Jerrion Ealy who leads the league in rushing at the moment. However Jermar Jefferson with 30 fewer carries is right on his heels. The Giants have Darius Slayton leading the the Roost, but if they are a team lead with the run. Look for Saquon to get more carries, and Slaytons Catching totals to drop.

In the AFC North it has officially become a dog fight as the Ravens, Bengals, and the Steelers all have only 1 loss and a healthy dislike for one another. Bodes well for a Rivalry that should last for an EON. In the AFC South The Colts and Texans are tied, with the Tennessee Titans headcoach shaming himself quitting a game in progress, then fell on the sword retiring from the league. The Jaguars are struggling mightily, but it's still early. The AFC East is being won by the Patriots at 4-1, however the Bills and Jets look like they may put up some resistance this year. In the West it's a 3 way race between the Chiefs, Chargers, and Raiders, with the Broncos having finally got 1 win under their belt. With their offense if they can get any defense, the Broncos could be the next big thing.

In the NFC North the Packers are lead, but the Vikings are only a game behind, and the Bears are a 4 time Super Bowl Champ so to see them at 1-3 is a little surprising. The Lions have been in flux, but they have a good young core, and are building. The South has become the New North with so much change, with only the constant being The New Orleans Saints. The Buccaneers just landed a new headcoach, will he be able to compete? The Panthers are in the process of interviewing a replacement with the sudden retirement of Anthonyisfat69, and the Falcons headcoach ChampagnePapi is too busy with his unattainable music career to put up any sort of resistance. The NFC East is being run by the Redskins early, however the Cowboys, and Giants both have incredible teams, and good users. They just have to string some wins together, and any kind of lull by the Redskins could spell disaster. Finally in the NFC West the Cardinals are on top with a 3-1 recordd. Coach JBOC27 left a huge power Vacuum, but the League never misses a beat. Coach Dino took over the Rams, and got their first win under their belt, with many more in sight. The Niners at 2-3 is a 2 time Super Bowl Champ, but with Marriage, child birth, and a full time Job, no Super Bowls can be seen for the forseeable Future. and.
