Madden 21 Season 5 Playoffs

The NFASL Playoffs are here! The Baltimore Ravens are the Defending Super Bowl Champs, and will look to make it back to back as they added Saquon Barkley, and Aaron Donald this season. Many will be taking the Ravens versus the Field as the Kansas City Chiefs with their dynamic team will look to run any team out of the building. Pooka Williams, Tyreek Hill, and Mecole hardman can all take any touch of the football house. There will be a few teams looking to make some noise, and to hang their teams colors in the Hall of Champions. The Colts, Bengals, Vikings, Falcons, and Steelers would love to see their names showcased for all time. They have the talent from Feleipe Franks, Jamie Newman, Joe Burrow, & Sam Howell a few of the Young Guns all are ready to take the next step from Super Star, to Super Bowl winner.  The NFC was a all out Thunder Dome as if you had anything other than double digit wins you were not sniffing these playoffs. The Seahawks have the conferences best record, and will look to show that no Russell Wilson, no problem. We will miss the worst Giants User in History THE-KiiD-Kenny, who traded Saquon Barkley, then missed the playoffs, then stated he's better off for it....... There were a few more teams who were very recent Playoff Representatives like e30zack, Deuce4975, and OffensiveDom. These users have found out that the competition in the NFASL has been stepped up, and either they rise to the challenge, or settle for being 2nd fiddle. The playoffs are here, Super Bowl XLI is the Destination, Good Luck to all combatants!

In the NFC the Teams are:

  1. West - Seattle Seahawks 14-2

  3. South - Carolina Panthers 12-4
  4. East - Washington Redskins 10-6
  5. Wildcard - San Francisco 49ers 11-5
  6. Wildcard - Chicago Bears 11-5
  7. Wildcard - Atlanta Falcons 10-6

In the AFC the Teams are :

 Team Record Coach Team Notes
15-1 Tommanowns The Ravens are the Defending Super Bowl Champions and only got better as they added Saquon Barkley to go along with Lamar Jackson on Offense. They have been simply spectacular which leads many people scratching their heads as to why in the world the Giants traded him to a Defending Super Bowl Champion in the first place. That's before we get to the genius who also traded Aaron Donald to the team in Charm City! 15-1 is the outcome.
Kansas City Chiefs 14-2 CapnClutchKC The Kansas City Chiefs is the only team in the AFC that can contend with the Baltimore Ravens talent for Talent. They also happen to be the one distinction on their record at 15-1. That 1 just so happens to be the Chiefs. The Chiefs were 14-2 on the season but have not had post season success. They are hoping this is the year that they finally break through.
Indianapolis Colts 13-3 Gaberooni54 The Big Names in the 2021 Draft were Justin Fields, and Trevor Lawrence. However Jamie Newman has made a name for himself and that name is Franchise Quarterback. With a team with one of the best offensive lines in football The leagues leading rusher, and only back to eclipse 2000 yards Jonathan Taylor the Colts could be the team to come out of the AFC!
New England Patriots 10-6 SleepinKnapp The Patriots will be leaning heavily on their coaches Playoff experience as they just don't have the firepower to match the teams in the playoffs. However ATK has been known to play his best football in the Postseason. Look for Drew Lock, and Courtland Suttons connections to continue for as long as they play in the 2nd season.
Pittsburgh Steelers 11-5 HAC_3443 The Steelers found their guy at QB Feleipe Franks, and are now back in business. Unfortunately they play in the Same Division as the Baltimore Ravens but that should help them this time of year as they will be battle tested against the leagues best.
Cincinnati Bengals 9-7 bgreat238 The Cincinnati Bengals may have the most talented team in the league with something to the tune of 22 Superstar players. They will hand the ball to Joe Burrow who will be looking to bring this franchise to their first appearance in the Super Bowl in NFASL history.
Jacksonville Jaguars 8-8 ThePacificCowboy The Jacksonville Jaguars are a Super Bowl Winning Team, and have a blitz heavy playstyle that many people are not used to. However with a rookie signal Caller in Sam Huard it may be too much to ask for them to go to far in these playoffs. Stranger things have happened however.

National Football Conference

Teams Record Coaches Team Notes
14-2 IcyyCA The Seattle Seahawks were supposed to take a step back with the trade of Russell Wilson, and giving the keys over to Spencer Rattler. However the Seahawks doubled down on their defense lead by Jamal Adams, and they have the best record in the conference and the very valuable First Round Bye.
12-4 ThyPeppa The Bears won the North a season ago, but the leagues legendary GM did what he does best which is fleece users for his old players, for their young and up and comers. ThyPeppa as he goes by these days has once again made his presence felt. The Question is does he have enough on the roster to make a deep run
12-4 conkQB12 The Carolinal Panthers has the leagues MVP shattering pretty much every passing record. Justin Herbert once languishing in Los Angeles under the woeful Chargers franchise has found new life. Could another Super Bowl be in the running for the team from Carolina?
10-6 Newmoon001 The Washington Football Team came on late winning the NFC Beast on the final game of the season. With 4 first round draft picks on the Defensive line, and a RGIII clone in D'Eriq King could coach moon add a 4th banner to his trophy case this year.
11-5 kaliko_420 The highly controversial San Francisco 49ers has the leagues highest overall team, thanks to a few shrewd moves, and the Development of Kedon Slovis. They will be looking to ad a 3rd Super Bowl to the display case, and this time one without a asterisk as his moves were guarded closer than gold in fort knox
11-5 THE--BEST-EVER-2 The Bears live, and die on the golden right arm of Trevor Lawrence. The most dynamic young QB since Andrew Luck Lawrence has a buffet of players to throw the ball to headlined by Jerry Jeudy, and Allen Robinson. The Playoffs are built for the best players to shine and the legend of Lawrence will not grow until his name is in the rafters
10-6 Primtivemind The Atlanta Falcons are ready to take the next step in the league as their coach has built this team in his image. The Young Players drafted have hit with Caleb Williams throwing for 5095 yards, and 48 touchdowns leading the way. Look for the Falcons to make some noise this post season

Madden 21 Season 5 report

of the NFASL!

On this edition of ESPNEWS Commissioner Newmoon will speak about the state of the league the National Football All Simulation League (NFASL) in it's Now 41st season of Madden.

      We are at the halfway point of Madden 21 on the PS4/PS5 with things running smoothly with the help of my Two Lieutenants Coach THE-KiiD-Kenny (Shooter), and The--BEST-EVER-2 (JD). We are now at season 5 on our way to season 10 which will be the final season on Madden 21. There are several things happening in the league that I think will change the league for the better. Making it harder to complete Development for players is one of those things. Starting this season we have implemented the a Interception to Touchdown Ratio that will cause you to lose development for your players. It will be as follows;

  • 3:1 ratio simply put for every 3 interceptions to 1 Touchdown you will lose a development to your starting QB. It will be an accumulation of your teams Interceptions not just your starting QB. Benching your starter and still throwing the ball around like it's going out of style will not save you from the axe.
  • These changes will effect players before they are traded so buyer beware
  • In Season 6 we will be even more stringent changing the metric from 3:1, to 2:1 meaning taking care of the ball will be ever more important.
  • This Rule has been put in place to balance out the leagues stats, and to stop guys for playing for Developments unnaturally.
  • The Penalties will be as such; once your Quarterback is stripped of Development upgrades, and they are normal we will start with the highest Wide Receiver on your team, Tight End, Running Back, Offensive Lineman, etc....

 Cool Down

I know that some of you have wanted me to implement the Cool Down rule, however I can't in good conscious call this a Sim League if you can't do the most basic of Football fundamentals. I do like the idea of a cool down, but not as it is implemented. Not being able to call a HB Dive back to back, or a simple 2 man under Defense back to back is utterly ridiculous. I'm also not dumb enough to know that members are not taking advantage of the Rules in the league that no Defense can call the same defense 3 plays in a row. That does not mean that you can just rotate to 2 defenses all game, as the rule is just a baseline. I want you members to police yourselves so that I don't have to.

Rewards for winning

Coach PapaLon24 has graciously offered to give a free year of PSPLUS for the Winner of Super Bowl XLI, and I believe gave a 3 month subscription to Tommanowns for winning Super Bowl XL. As much as I appreciate it, this goes against the very nature of the league. We play for the love of sport, not for winning prizes. I feel as though once you start playing for money, or prizes that changes things. Community, Sport, Competition, and Bragging rights should only ever be our motive for the Worlds Greatest League in History. So Papalon24, and Kaliko_420 every now and again it's cool, but lets not make it a thing =) .

Commissioner of the AFC, THE--BEST-EVER-2

  • JD-   Through the halfway point I’ve loved the competitiveness of the league. I like how guys are making progression

in their game season after season. There is no easy schedules which makes games fun to watch and the playoff races really tight. Also helps things be fun like sportsbook. One thing we got to to work on is realizing how our actions affect the league down the road. Its been a fun madden so far lets keep it up!

..

Commissioner of the NFC, The-KiiD-Kenny

  • Shooter - First and foremost you all suck! I am as about as useless as a commissioner, as I am at playing Madden.

Moon is a better more complete man than me. In fact I wouldn't even call myself a man as I don't deserve the title. Moon has created the Cylce of Kenny, and I'll be damned if it isn't the best article ever constructed save for the Constitution of the United States of America. Hell if I were being honest I would say the Cyle of Kenny should now be the official document of this unified nation.  I have been here in the league for approximately 7 years, and even though I am one of the most senior members in the league I have not come close to winning a Super Bowl, or even participating in one. We are closer to the moon than I am at winning a Championship in this league. All you can eat contest are another story as I am the undisputed Champion of the world in that.

Team Statistics: In the NFL the teams with the best stats normally have the best seasons. This year is no different. It takes every aspect of a team to win games, and while you can have one do well and not the other  over a full season it will show and prove in your final win loss record. So far the tops in the league are those we are about to show here. Let's take a look.

NFASL 1/2 way report

ESPN Breaking News If you have not done so, make sure you congratulate Commissioner Shooter on his good news. If anything, if a woman will let Kenneth lie down, and make a baby anything is possible! Walk on Mars, cure cancer, Hit the lottery! The possiblities are endless!!!!!

On this edition of ESPNEWS It's Week 8 the 1/2 mark of the Season and it's time to look at what's going on in the NFASL. The Carolina Panthers are the Defending Super Bowl Champions, and they look to be biding their time at 4-2, not wanting to peak too soon. They won the Super Bowl from the Wildcard position, so they are no stranger to going into the Post-Season without  the best record. There's an old saying that goes, all you gotta do is get in, after that let the cards fall where they may.

Last Season we implented the Lottery system removing all reason to tank, and I have to say it was a complete success. With that said these records are now earned, and I as one of the Commissioners of the league get to look at the league through the Prism of a overall viewpoint, not just singular. The league only works in my opinion if you play in a realistic fashion. I don't think any player that is currently in the league is worlds better than the lowest rated player. It simply comes down to decision making, implementing good football tactics, and minding down, and distance.  A Deep dive into the Turnover differential is a absolute enlightening experience.

The Falcons are the worst in the league at -17, but Coach primtivemind has a strange motive for how he is playing this year, so let's remove the Falcons from the equation.  The Next  4 teams up are the Denver Broncos -14 (0-5), Detroit Lions -14 (2-4), New Orleans Saints -12 (1-5), and the Los Angeles Chargers -11 (0-6) The Combined records of these 4 teams are 3-20. However lets look at their stats.

  • Denver Broncos - Jimmy Garoppolo 7tds - 21ints - sacked 17
  • Detroit Lions - Dak Prescott 6tds - 29ints - sacked 8
  • New Orleans Saints - Jayden Daniels 5tds - 21ints - sacked 11
  • Los Angeles Chargers - Justin Herbert 5tds - 14ints - Sacked 18

So looking at those stats you can see the problem is decision making. It's a 2 fold problem sacks vs Interceptions, vs TD's vs Interceptions.  Those 4 teams have a combined 85 Interceptions to only 54 sacks...... Let that sink in. In place of losing 7 yards on a sack, these coaches have opted to throw into coverage giving up the ball to the opposing team. The offense save for the Chiefs, and Raiders have to make multiple plays to score on a drive, whereas the Defense only needs to make 1 game changing Play with a turnover.

A deeper dive into the game is Time of possession for the losing team. In a week 2 game in which the Broncos lost 31-21 The Broncos had 3 turnovers to the Raiders 0 However the Broncos had the ball 25:06 to the the Raiders 10:53. In a week 4 game in which the Chargers lost 30-24 to the Titans the Chargers had 4 turnovers, & the Titans 1 However the Chargers held the ball 31:44 to the Titans 9:50. The Detroit Lions in a week 3 game in which they lost 49-24 to the Bears The Lions had 7 turnovers to the Bears 3 however the Lions held the ball 23:59 to the Bears 12:01. The Saints in a week 7 game in which they lost 59-14 to the Steelers The Saints had 7 turnovers to zero for the Steelers however the Saints held the ball 23:12, to the Steelers 12:48

As you can see these teams are not being beaten by better playcalling, or better players, they are literally beating themselves. It does not matter how many stats you think you're getting, the bottom line is take care of the ball. I am a average, to below average at best, and have the self described Turtle Offense. However you will be surprised to know that I have more passing yards than all but the Saints Jayden Daniels.

  • WFT - D'Eriq King - 1394yds 111compl, 151 att, 12tds, 9ints, 73% compl, 6 sacks
  • NOS - Jayden Daniels - 1569yds, 136 compl, 195att, 5tds, 21ints, 69% compl, 11sacks
  • Den - Jimmy Garoppolo - 1267yds, 81compl, 134att, 7tds, 21ints, 60% compl, 17sacks
  • LAC - Justin Herbert - 977yds, 85compl, 125att, 5tds, 14ints, 68% compl, 18sacks

These numbers cannot be disputed, as the proof is in the pudding. I know that I have been in talks with some of you about making the change to the approach to the game. I simply understand this one thing "TEMET NOSCE" Latin phrase for "Know Thyself". I will never have the passing eye of ATK, or Deuce4975, but I use Football IQ to remain competitive, and even put 3 banners into the Hall of Champions.

I will be re-instituting a old rule that I had some years back. At Each Teams bye Week Either Shooter, JD, or myself will reset your teams confidence to allow for a reset on the season. The point being that you as a coach had a full week to fix, whatever ailed your team before the bye week. However make sure you remind one of the commissioners. It's only your team. KYS!

Lets take a look at the Conferences in the NFASL, and see how things are shaking out.

Los Angeles Chargers 0-6 12.3 32nd 22nd

In the AFC the Cincinatti Bengals are the Top dog with a 6-1 record, and look to be in the drivers seat in the AFC as they hit a milestone in coach bgreat238's career as he swept the Darth Tomman, and the Baltimore Ravens! Word was he was playing Rope-A-Dope a year ago to get Joe Burrow, and John Ross III to Superstar X-Factors, and the plan has taken shape. However putting a well thought out plan into the ether is a bad idea, because now teams will duplicate your success..... Rookie Move. With Burrow leading the North in passing at a large margin, and John Ross III blowing the competion out the water the Bengals might be in line for their 1st title. The Steelers are 2nd in the Division with Anthony McFarland leading not just the AFC North in rushing yards, but the entire league with 1,040 yards. The Steelers are very balanced with Dwayne Haskins running the offense, distributing the ball evenly to a group of talented receivers. However the Secondary of the Steelers lead by their Dynamic safeties Minkah Fitzpatrick, and Derwin James Jr. could bring this team to the best record in the AFC . The Baltimore Ravens have Lamar Jackson, and a Hall of fame head coach in Tomman owns and can never be counted out. The Regular season for the Team in Charm City is more about ironing out the kinks, and getting ready for the Post Season. The Cleveland Browns have all the makings of a Super Bowl caliber team, and just like real life they are struggling in terms of Quarterback play. Baker Mayfield has thrown 16 interceptions, to only 4tds for a with the 7th best scoring defense in the league, and Nick Chubb averaging 6.3 yards a carry. Might be time to think about a new Gameplan.

In the AFC South it looks like it's the Jaguars turn to make a move in the Division as they are on top as it stands right now. With their Moniker back with the help of K'Lavon Chaisson, and Josh Allen, the Sacksonville Jaguars are back in action. With AJ Rose, to compliment that ferocious defense, and Jacob Eason going deep to D.J. Chark the Jaguars might have the stuff. They cannot rest on their laurels however as the Colts are a mere game behind them, and a Jamie Newman showing that it wasn't a fluke as he leads the league in completion & at 73% Newman just might be the best out of a generational Quarterback Class. The Tennessee Titans are what many believe are a Quarterback away from winning it all as they have everything one could hope for in terms of a tough nosed defense, and a brutal, brutal, back breaking running game lead by Derrick Henry. With the Trade Deadline approaching the Titans could come calling before it's all said and done. The Texans are still in a rebuild, but they have the most challenging part in a Franchise Quarterback in Deshaun Watson. However the Texans Defense is atrocious and must be addressed via Trade, draft, and free agency. when you're 16th in the league in offense, but 31st in defense, a 2-5 record is the result.

Coach OffensiveDom, and the Buffalo Bills may have gotten their mojo back lead by their Defense which is 8th overall with 5.5 sacks from a defensive Tackle in Matthew Ioannidis. Coach Offensivedom is one of the most senior members in the NFASL, and has been involved in some of the biggest games, so him staying down, for too long was not going to happen. The Patriots are 2nd in the Division at 3-3, and are getting all they bargained for when they brought in Drew Lock as he leads the Divsion in passing yards, and Touchdowns. However their defense took a major hit, and are now ranked 20th in place of top 5 they are used to. The New York Jets also brought in a Quarterback to mentor their rookie Spencer Rattler. Cam Newton has changed life for the Jets, and looked to be primed to make a playoff run. Newton has been prone to make a costly interception with 8tds, and 16interceptions but a 71% passing clip. That means churching up those errant throws just might put this team into the Post-Season. The Miami Dolphins have hit a wall in their development, and have taken a step back.

In the West it's a two team Race with the Las Vegas Raiders outdoing the Kansas City Chiefs taking their offense to a whole other level. With a sledge hammer back in Josh Jacobs, and a blur at receiver in Henry Ruggs III pick your poison has never been more evident. The Chiefs at 4-2 are a game behind, and know what they need to do. The Chiefs are built for Post-season success, so these games are a mere formality. However the Chiefs are in a bind in their cap and will look to win it all this year. The Broncos, and Chargers are two of the biggest disappointments in the league as both have the acumen, but have yet to figure out the league. The Broncos, and Chargers are both figuring out what they do best. The Chargers have already made a trade for Justin Herbert in the Off-Season, so at the very least this team will look a lot different come next year.

San Francisco 49ers 2-5 33.1 13th 27th
Los Angeles Rams 2--4 20.7 29th 25th

In the NFC the Seattle Seahawks, and the Green Bay Packers are the sitting atop the mountain with Dual 6-1 records. The Seahawks are also on top of the West, building a dynamic team and look like a true contender. With Russell Wilson playing at a MVP level the coach has run out of excuses. Not playing down to your opponent would also be helpful. Their closest competitor in the Division are the Arizona Cardinals who traded Kyler Murray, and opted to go with Feliepe Franks.  Franks has all the measurables, and has hands down the best receiving corp in the NFL with DeAndre Hopkins, Chris Godwin running routes. Stopping this Cardinals offense may be nigh impossible. The San Francisco 49ers let Jimmy G go, and opted to go with a rookie QB by the name of Kedon Slovis. So far the rookie has shown flashes with 2155 yards, 23tds, but 24 ints and a 2-5 record. That is definitely not the Niner way. With the Niners struggling they are wasting an immense talent of Raheem Mostert who has not been getting the carries he is used to. The Final team in the West are the Rams, who are in a weird place with 2 Hall of Fame players in Aaron Donald, and Jalen Ramsey. But have a losing record, a 2nd year QB, which may signal time for a rebuild before it's too late.

In the North the Green Bay Packers have moved on from Aaron Rodgers opting to go with the future in Jordan Love. Love has been the best QB in the Division with a 70% completion %, 2034 yards, 18tds, and 7 ints. With production like that the Packers could be once again set for years at the QB position. The Bears with Trevor Lawrence lead the Division in passing Yardage but must clean up the penchant for throwing interceptions. With arm Talent not seen since Aaron Rodgers Lawrence with 19tds, and 19 ints should be ashamed. The Bears are 2 games behind the Packers, and will look to overtake them. The Detroit Lions are a team with immense talent, a great Defense, Dak Prescottd, and all the Weapons one could hope for. However just like a few owners their coach simply doesn't take what the defense gives them. With Joey Bockus Back captaining the Ship of the Vikings, wheeling, and Dealing 4th in the Division will not be home for long of the Purple and gold.

The NFC South is home to the Defending Super Bowl Champions Carolina Panthers and League MVP Christian McCaffrey. McCaffrey leads the Division in rushing Yardage, and just like last year the Panthers are pacing themselves. With a two headed Monster of McCaffrey, and D.J. Moore the Panthers will always be a tough out. They lead the Division with no team save for them with a winning record. The Falcons have gone to full tank mode, the Buccaneers have dismantled their team, but have moved heaven and earth to get Kyler Murray which should take the Buccaneers offense up a level. And the New Orleans Saints are still looking for their elusive Quarterback They bypassed Trey Lance in the Draft, and that move just may haunt them this entire cyle of Madden.

In the NFC East the Washington Football Team EST 1932 has a slight lead over the Dallas Cowboys. The Redskins have the leagues #1 Ranked Defense, and are as efficient as ever on offense. That has won this Franchise a Super Bowl in the Past, could that Model get them another one? The Cowboys are America's team, and to see them competing is a welcome sight. Justin Fields is making a name for himself, and has found a rhythm with both Tutu Atwell, and CeeDee Lamb. However the story has been the Defense which has a deep post-season quality about it. If their headcoach can follow his own advice the Cowboys Post-Season malaise may finally be over. The New York Giants find themselves 3-3, and the coach blaming everthing but his thumbs. The Giants are in New Territory as they are used to dominating the East. With Washington Football Team Sweeping them a year ago, and now find themselves 3rd the Giants may rue the day they traded all their Draft picks. The Philadelphia Eagles are doing everything well but winning games. Baby Steps, as Melblaze we hope one day turns the corner, With still a solid team, the Eagles are always a dangerous team to play against.

NFASL Madden 21 Season 3 Preview AFC

The NFASL is entering it's Third season on Madden 21, and the AFC now find themselves two more banners behind in the Hall of Champions. For the 2nd straight year it was a AFC North representative falling in the biggest game as the Baltimore Ravens could not contend with the Leagues MVP, and Super Bowl XXXVIII MVP Christian McCaffrey. The AFC is looking to have a bounce back year with serious contenders are seemingly in almost every Division. In the AFC South The Colts with the arrival of Stephon Gilmore should be a heavy bet in Vegas. The Chiefs still have Pat Mahomes, and the Broncos allowed Coach ATK and the Patriots to get their QB with the arrival of Drew Lock. Super Bowl XXXIX is on the table, and the AFC will do anything and everything not to lose 3 straight! lets take a look at the conferences in the AFC .

AFC North:

Baltimore Ravens 14-2 Headcoach Tommanowns (Division Winner)

The Baltimore Ravens went 14-2 on the season, and represented the AFC in Super Bowl XXXVIII. However a 45-24 loss put a bitter taste on what should be considered a great season. They went into the Off-Season knowing that they have very little to change, so they stood pat. They also know this is a contract year for their dynamic quarterback Lamar Jackson who will command no less than 200 million over 7 years. With 24.3 million in cap space, and 13 free agents the Ravens will have to think long and hard about the construction of their team long term.

Notable Players:

  • Lamar Jackson
  • Marlon Humphrey
  • Marquise Brown
  • Marcus Peters
  • J.K. Dobbins
  • Justin Reid
  • Patrick Queen
  • Justin Tucker  (Best Kicker)

Cleveland Browns 8-8 Headcoach ChiefHawker3

The Browns are so close to putting it together that their fanbase can taste it. With a generational talent at Wide Receiver in ODell Beckham Jr. they have a playmaker that many in the league can't deal with. They found out last season however that teams can still gameplan around shutting down 1 playmaker, so they added another in Will Fuller V, and drafted the speedy Garrett Wilson out of Ohio State. It should be shooting fish in a barrel for their Quarterback Baker Mayfield who now in his 5th season will be expected to take this team to the promised land. Especially after seeing two of their division rivals play in Super Bowls. The pressure is on.

Notable Players:

  • Myles Garrett
  • Nick Chubb
  • Odell Beckham Jr
  • Austin Hooper
  • Denzel Ward
  • Baker Mayfield

Pittsburgh Steelers 7-9 Headcoach Hac_3443

The Pittsburgh Steelers hit the dreaded Super Bowl hangover going 7-9, and missing the playoffs all together after having been in the big game a year prior. However the Steelers retooled their Defense putting together what many believe is the best secondary of all time. Patrick Peterson, Josh Jackson, Minkah Fitzpatrick, and Derwin James Jr all now lurk the Passing lanes. To steal a nickname from the Bears the No Fly Zone now resides in Pittsburgh. The Steelers also traded for Tyron Smith to help keep Dwayne Haskins upright who will be expected to command this offense at a much higher level than he did a year ago. Haskins could never develop a rhythm with JuJu Smith-Schuster, so he was moved giving Haskins a younger receiving corp.

Notable Players:

  • Minkah Fitzpatrick
  • Derwin James JR
  • Cameron Heyward
  • Tyron Smith
  • T.J. Watt
  • Dwayne Haskins

Cincinatti Bengals 5-11 Headcoach Bgreat238

The Cincinatti Bengals took a major step backward a year ago going 5-11, and missing the playoffs after having made it the year prior. The Bengals offense was clicking on all cylinders, however their defense became one of the worst in the league. They did what anyone would which is go and acquire talent, and talent is what they got. They added Tyrann Mathieu a former Defensive player of the Year to their secondary which should calm things down in the secondary. With Joe Burrow showing that he is the Quarterback of the future they drafted Emil Ekiyor Jr to play RT, with the thought of moving him to LT in a season or 2. With John Ross III, Ja'Marr Chase, and Deonte Harris the Bengals should be back in the post-season this year.

Notable Players:

  • Joe Mixon
  • Tyrann Mathieu
  • Evan Engram
  • Joe Burrow
  • Ja'Marr Chase
  • John Ross III

AFC West:

Kansas City Chiefs 13-3 Headcoach CapnClutchKC (Division Winner)

The Kansas City Chiefs were once again the Division winner in the AFC West a Defensive Coordinators worst nightmare. However they were unable to get over the hump for a second straight year, meaning that the season was an utter disappointment. The Chiefs are in the rare position of Super Bowl or bust, as they are not concerned with the regular season. Not to mention the Salary Cap Hell they are about to find themselves in this year is the one they must get it done. Tyreek Hill, Mecole Hardman, Juan Thornhill, and a myriad of others are all going to be looking for a big payday. When the Chiefs only have 1.17 million in cap room, it's going to get real dicey, real quick......

Notable Players:

  • Pat Mahomes
  • Tyreek Hill
  • Frank Clark
  • Eric Kendricks
  • Chris Jones
  • Mecole Hardman

Las Vegas Raiders 12-4 Headcoach e30zack (Wildcard)

Just Win Baby!!! a mantra coined by Raiders late, great owner Al Davis, and just win is what these Raiders did. After a tumultous season that saw them go 5-11 the Raiders bounced back like a trampoline dropping 12 wins on a unsuspecting league. They also seemingly won every offensive award as they had the BEST QB, BEST RB, BEST K, OPOY, and Best WR all on the same team! With firepower likt that the Raiders were one of the worst teams to scheme against. The Raiders didn't rest on their laurels however as they added Yannikc Ngakoue to help pressure the QB as they know they will be in Shootouts just solely based on their offensive system. They expect teams to play catch up all season long

Notable Players:

  • Derek Carr (Best Quarterback)
  • Rodney Hudson
  • Josh Jacobs (Best Running back)
  • Yannick Ngakoue
  • Richard Sherman
  • Darren Waller
  • Brett Maher (Best Kicker)
  • Henry Ruggs III (Offensive Player of the Year, Best WR)

Los Angeles Chargers 4-12 Headcoach stefmoney08

The Sophomore Slump not only hit their young Quarterback Justin Herbert, but their headcoach Stefmoney08. After going 8-8 a 4-12 season is not only unexpected, it was un warranted. The Chargers have vowed to get into their playbook, and start thinking about their plays instead of playing pray, and spray offense. Giving the Ball back to Austin Ekeler is a first step, instead of being enamored with the strong right arm of Herbert. However when you're in a division with Hill, Jeudy, and Ruggs I can't blame him.

Notable Players:

  • Keenan Allen
  • Justin Herbert
  • Desmond King II
  • Leighton Vander Esch
  • Austin Ekeler

Denver Broncos 2-14 Headcoach PhillySunoco

The Denver Broncos just like the Chargers saw their headcoach take a step back, with a much better team. going from 6-10, to 2-14 lets you know that whatever you're doing, it might be time to start doing the opposite. Much like the other members in the Division they have fell in love with the deep ball, and one receiver in particular. In the Broncos case it's Jerry Jeudy who although he is absolutely dominant on every level, he could be a reason they took a step back. When you have a talent like this you fall in love with throwing him the ball, but the Defense knows that as well. The offense has to make several plays, the Defense only 1. They shipped out Drew Lock, and picked up Jimmy G in the Off-Season. However the Qb isn't the problem in this instance, it's the scheme.

Notable Players:

  • Ali Marpet
  • Justin Simmons
  • Justin Simmons
  • Jimmy Garoppolo
  • Jerry Jeudy

AFC South:

Indianapolis Colts 12-3-1 Headcoach Gaberooni54 (Division Winner)

The Colts won the most competitive Division in the NFL hands down and were a play away from making the Super Bowl. They went into the Off-season knowing that they are so close they are looking through to the other side. They then dropped a stack on Stephon Gilmore giving him 40 Million over 1 season in a make or break Super Bowl run! That move should bolster a already dangerous defense that has Deforest Buckner, Darius Leonard, and Chris Harris JR. Dangerous to say the least. They will also hope that Rookie Quarterback Jamie Newman continues his development as he was a pleasant surprise for the Colts. Newman was arguably the best QB in a all time rookie class, that featured Justin Fields, and Trevor Lawrence hi praise to say the least.

Notable Players:

  • Quenton Nelson (Best Offensive Lineman)
  • Stephon Gilmore
  • DeForest Buckner
  • Darius Leonard
  • Chris Harris Jr
  • Jamie Newman
  • Michael Pittman Jr.

Jacksonvile Jaguars 10-6 Headcoach ThePacificCowboy (Wildcard)

The Jacksonville Jaguars came on strong to close the year out forcing their way into the playoffs for the 2nd straight year. They are now expected to take that next step to Super Bowl contender, and they just might have the make up to do it. Jacob Eason has taken the reigns from Gardner Minshew, and is expected to get the ball to D.J. Chark Jr with more regularity. They also traded for A.J. Rose whose break out rookie season in Atlanta was a surprise as he garnered Rooke of the year. Not to mention they were pulling all kinds of awards with Myles Jack, and Josh Allen getting BEst DB, and Best Lineman respectively. With the addition of Grady Jarrett Sacksonville is back better than ever!

Notable Players:

  • D.J. Chark Jr
  • Grady Jarrett
  • Myles Jack (Best Defensive Back)
  • Josh Allen (Best Defensive Lineman)
  • A.J. Rose (Offensive Rookie of the Year *Falcons*)
  • K'Lavon Chaisson

Tennessee Titans 9-6-1 Headcoach ChocoRainReubz (Wildcard)

The Tennessee Titans took a small step back after dominating the year prior with a 13-3 record. However winning 13 games in the NFASL consistently is not to be expected. They did make the Playoffs however, and still have Derrick Henry Bowling over would be defenders. The Titans unhappy with the way Ryan Tannehill played have moved on instead opting for Dam Darnold who was let go by the Jets. The Titans know that their division will be a slobber knocker so Darnolds arrival should help a group of talente, but under utilized receivers.

Notable Players:

  • Derrick Henry
  • Kevin Byard
  • Jadeveon Clowney
  • Sam Darnold
  • Adoree' Jackson

Houston Texans 6-10 Headcoach MM-Xfactor88

The Texans faltered down the stretch missing the playoffs for a second straight year. With Deshaun Watson as their QB the Texans are set on the offensive side of the ball. There main culprit has been their defense which is one of the worst in the league. The Texans were unable to get much help in the Off-season so they may still come up short as the season progresses. Word is Future Hall of Famer J.J. Watt wants out, and would be a huge asset for the Texans looking to acquire draft picks. However no mention Watt has been seen in the Trade block, which could end soon.

Notable Players:

  • J.J. Watt
  • DeShaun Watson
  • Mark Andrews
  • Brandin Cooks

AFC East:

New England Patriots 10-6 Headcoach SleepingKnapp (Division Winner)

The New England Patriots went from 16-0, to 10-6 but still managed to win the Division which is an accomplisment. However they are not a team to sit idly by as they traded for Drew Lock from the Denver Broncos, moving on from Cam Newton who is now throwing passes in Gotham City. Lock will have a slew of receivers to throw the Ball to as Courtland Sutton, and Calvin Ridley will be running routes in the Defenses secondary. If you put a nickel corner to slow down the passing attack they still have Sony Michel to turn around and hand the ball off. The story however for the Patriots was Dylan Moses who had arguably the best Defensive Season in history for a rookie, hell for any player. Moses won the Defensive player of the Year award as a rookie, and lead the league in interceptions.... Incredible!

Notable Players:

  • Dylan Moses (DPOY, DROY, Best LB)
  • Sony Michel  (Best Running Back)
  • Drew Lock
  • Courtland Sutton
  • Jonathan Jones
  • Calvin Ridley
  • Shaq Mason

Miami Dolphins 6-9-1 Headcoach I757IMonster

The Miami Dolphins Have their Quarterback of the Future in Tua Tagovaiola, now they're looking to make the Future Now. The Dolphins were in the running for the Division late, but wilted down the stretch. With one of the best offensive lines in the league, late season football should have been tailor-made for the team from Miami. However as teams loaded up to stop the Run the Dolphins quickly figured out that speed is what really keeps the engine running. They acquired Marquez Valdes-Scantling to go along with Curtis Samuel, and Preston Williams giving Tua all the talent he needs. Look for the Dolphins to take the next step this year, or expect some changes soon.

Notable Players:

  • Tua Tagovaiola
  • Curtis Samuel
  • Marquez Valdes-Scantling
  • Byron Jones
  • Xavien Howard
  • Matt Breida

New York Jets 4-12 Headcoach Traylonakanana

The New York Jets saw improvement out of their team on the field, but the record didn't reflect it. out goes Sam Darnold, and in comes Cam Newton to bring that veteran leadership that this team desperately needs. Newton now in the twi-light of his career will be expected to mentor Spencer Rattler who was drafted by the Jets to be their Quarterback of the future. As of now he will get to sit and watch one of the all time great dual threat QBS. The Jets are not thinking to the future as they are playing to win now!

Notable Players:

  • Avery Williamson
  • Eddie Goldman
  • Roquan Smith
  • Kyle Fuller
  • Cam Newton
  • Quinnen Williams

Buffalo Bills 4-12 Headcoach OffensiveDom

The Buffalo Bills headcoach normally kicks it into over drive year 3, however it looks like this rendition of Madden will be his worst. Coach OffensiveDom is one of the most successful head coaches in the NFASL making 6 Super Bowl, and winning 1. With Strong armed Josh Allen at QB, Stefon Diggs running routes, and catching everything thrown his way, you'd think this team was made for super Bowls. The Bills have a ton of talent, but that only gets you so far. Playing smart, is the secret ingredient of which this coach knows full well.

Notable Players:

  • Josh Allen
  • Stefon Diggs
  • Tre'Davious White
  • Matthew Ioannidis
  • Micah Hyde
  • Ed Oliver

NFASL Madden 21 Season 3 Preview

The NFC is home of Super Bowl XXXVIII Champions the Carolina Panthers, so the NFC South is where we will start our previews. There were several moves made over the Off-season with several big named stars changing zip codes. The most notable of those Stars was Stephon Gilmore who for the 2nd straight year saw himself change teams. Gilmore received a stack as he was given a 1 year, 40 million dollar contract by the Colts. A move that has many believing the Colts are now the Favorite to come out of the AFC. The San Francisco 49ers Signed 5 year pro, and budding star Marcus Williams to a 5 year 82.1 Million dollar contract to play alongside Rayann Duqmaq giving the Niners one of the best safety Duos in the league. There were several players that retired also as DeSean Jackson, Big Ben Roethlisberger, Jason Kelce, & Jimmy Smith all hung up their cleats, and will just await word for the call from the Hall of Fame. Season II blew by, and now Season 3 is upon us. With The NFC winning 2 straight Super Bowls, they will look to make it 3 in a row. With that said, lets preview the NFC for Madden 21, Season III.

NFC South:

Carolina Panthers 12-4 Headcoach conkQB12 (Wildcard)

The Carolina Panthers went into the Playoffs as a Wildcard team, and win the smoke cleared they came out Super Bowl XXXVIII winners. However this is a new year, and what have you done for me lately comes into play. The The Panthers made few changes in the off-season, instead opted to go with what got them there a year ago. The Panthers have the Leagues reigning MVP, and Super Bowl MVP with Christian McCafrrey so the Backfield is set for years to come. They did however realise that teams would begin loading up to slow him down, and they drafted several offensive Weapons to help keep the running lanes open. They drafted Wide receiversFrank Ladson Jr., Travell Harris, Elijah Moore, and Tightend James Mitchell to bolster a passing game that features D.J. Moore.

Notable Players:

  • Christian McCaffrey
  • D.J. Moore
  • Desmond King
  • Derrick Brown
  • Donte Jackson
  • Matthew Stafford

Atlanta Falcons 12-4 Headcoach PrimtiveMind (Division Winner)

The Atlanta Falcons were 12-4 a year ago, and won the Divisiom. However with another playoff loss the Falcons have swallowed the Jagged little pill that this teams window has closed, and have begun the process of rebuilding. They have let several players leave with the most notable being Stephon Gilmore. The Falcons now have the lowest rated team in the league, even though they still have Julio Jones catching everything thrown his way. The Falcons could be in store for a long year, however the light is at the end of the Tunnel as they have 3 first round draft picks in this up coming draft.

Notable Players:

  • Julio Jones
  • Deion Jones
  • Michael Gallup

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 6-9 Headcoach Kevin_3447

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made the move of the Off-Season as they acquire Super Star Quarterback Kyler Murray from the Arizona Cardinals! The Buccaneers had a disappointing season going 6-9, after a 10-6 season a year prior with Tom Brady at the Helm. However Brady Skills diminished over time leaving the Buccaneers Feleipe Franks behind center, and the spotligt was too bright for him. They will not have that problem this year as Murray has been through the fire that is the NFC West, and several big games in Oklahoma.

Notable Players:

  • Mike Evans
  • Kyler Murray
  • N'Keal Harry
  • Shaquil Barrett
  • Antoine Winfield Jr
  • Rob Gronkowski
  • Kenyan Drake
  • Devin White

New Orleans Saints 2-14 Headcoach PantherAlumni74

The New Orleans Saints saw followed up one of their worst seasons a year ago by saying hold my beer as they followed it up with a 2-14 one. The Saints with one of the best rosters, are a head scratching team as they were expected to be one of the best teams in the league. With a the leagues worst defense the Saints will Drafted Kayvon Thibodeaux with their first pick, to play alongside Cameron Jordan, and Marcus Davenport. With pressure up the Middle the Saints Secondary should play better this year. With Michael Thomas, and ALvin Kamara, and now Jacoby Brissett throwing passes the Saints could be a sleeper in the South.

Notable Players:

  • Michael Thomas
  • Kaybon Thibodeaux
  • Cameron Jordan
  • Alvin Kamara
  • Marshon Lattimore

NFC North:

Green Bay Packers 15-1 Headcoach Deuce4975 (Division Winner)

The Green Bay Packers went 15-1 on the season, but came short in the post Season losing to the eventual Super Bowl Champions Carolina Panthers. The Packers have also made a move that was 2 seasons in the making as they give the ball over to Jordan Love out of Utah to take the Packers into the next 10 years of NFL Football. The Packers are absolutely loaded on offense so Love should be okay if he can keep the turnovers down. The Packers drafted the 6'3" Joseph Ngata out of Clemosn giving the Packers the biggest Wide Receiving corp in the league. With Davante Adams, Aaron Jones, Jace Sternberger on offense, Za'Darius Smith, Preston Smith, Kenny Clark, Jaire Alexander, Darnell Savage the Packers will be formidable all season long.

Notable Players:

  • Aaron Rodgers
  • Davante Adams
  • Jaire Alexander
  • Kenny Clark
  • Aaron Jones
  • Za'Darius Smith

Minnesota Vikings 5-11 Headcoach dhontos

The Minnesota Vikings had a down year going 5-11, a utter dissapointment for a team that made the Playoffs a year prior. With their Quarterback Situation in shambles the answer just may lie in the right arm of Sam Howell out of North Carolina. Howell won't blow anyone off the field in terms of Physical attributes as he is only 6'1" and 225lbs. However he is deadly accurate, and reminds many of who watch hikm of Drew Brees with a slightly stronger arm. With Dalvin Cook in the backfield, and Adam Thielen, and Justin Jefferson receiving balls the Howell should excel as the season progresses. However the North is deadly tough so getting out to a fast start is paramount for this franchise.

Notable Players:

  • Dalvin Cook
  • Danielle Hunter
  • Michael Pierce
  • Adam Thielen
  • Justin Jefferson

Detroit Lions 4-12 Headcoach Hitsquad954

The Detroit Lions were 2-14 a year ago, but have made several off-season moves to make sure a repeat does not happen. They traded for Dak Prescott, and Drafted Shut down corner Patrick Surtain II. adding Surtain to a secondary that includes their #1 Draft Pick from 2 years ago Jeff Okudah, Justin Coleman, and Desmond Trufant the Lions arguably have the best secondary in the game. Teams should expect a lot of Man coverage, and blitzing in front making for a resurgent Lions Team.

Notable Players:

  • Dak Prescott
  • Kenny Golladay
  • Trey Flowers
  • Jeff Okudah
  • Patrick Surtain II

Chicago Bears 8-8 Headcoach Jady_Tru

The Chicago Bears at 2-14 a year ago found themselves with the #1 Pick in the Draft, and used it to select Generational Talent Trevor Lawrence from Clemson. With the QB of the Future in the building many are expecting Coach JD, to get back to his winning ways, however winning is a mindset that can be lost just like your house keys. The Bears did make other notable moves moving on from Bears Staples such as Roquan Smith, Eddie Goldman, and Kyler Fuller Trading them to the Jets. They also acquired JC Jackson, and Joe Thuney from the Patriots, and broke the Bank to Sign Keanu Neal in Free agency.

Notable Players:

  • Khalil Mack
  • Allen Robinson II
  • Eddie Jackson
  • Keanu Neal
  • Akiem Hicks
  • Trevor Lawrence
  • Jaylon Johnson

NFC West:

San Francisco 49ers 12-4 Headcoach Kaliko_420 (Wildcard)

The San Francisco 49ers remained one of the top teams a season ago with a defense that was among the leagues top, a Offense that featured Raheem Mostert, and a coach with Super Bowl Pedigree. However they once again succumbed in the post-season as Jimmy Garoppolo struggled. That pretty much sealed the deal for Jimmy G in the Golden state as the Niners cut him immediately, and drafted Kedon Slovis out of USC a player they are very familiar with. The Niners are built to win now, so them giving the ball to a rookie QB has many people scratching their heads, and wondering if they will make a move sooner, rather than later. The Niners bolstered a already stout defense with the Signing of Marcus Williams, however they will have their hands full in the West.

Notable Players:

  • George Kittle
  • Raheem Mostert
  • Nick Bosa
  • Trent Williams
  • Fred Warner
  • Marcus Williams
  • Kwon Alexander

Seattle Seahawks 12-4 Headcoach IcyyCA (Division Winner)

The Seattle Seahawks took a huge step winning what many believe is the toughest Division in sports the NFC West. The only thing left to do is win the Super Bowl, and with Russell Wilson playing at a MVP level they are one of the favorites to come out of the NFC. Wilson has a team around him that features D.K. Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Chris Carson house giving them the firepower to go deep into the Postseason. With Jamal Adams anchoring the Defense the Seahawks are able to take chances that most teams simply can't. A 12-4 record a year ago means that Super Bowl or Bust is the mantra for this team, this year.

Notable Players:

  • Russell Wilson
  • D.K. Metcalf
  • Jamal Adams
  • Shaquill Griffin
  • Bobby Wagner

Arizona Cardinals 8-8 Headcoach Papalon24

The Arizona Cardinals were one of the huge let downs on the year a season ago going 8-8 with a team that seemed destined to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. They have now made a move that has left many people scratching their heads as they let Kyler Murray go via a trade with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Cardinals coach never bought into the style of play that that Murray wanted to do, and have instead opted for a more traditional pocket passer in the 6'6" Feleipe Franks. Franks is most compared to Joe Flacco, and will be expected to lead a team that is absolutely loaded to the promised land.

Notable Players:

  • DeAndre Hopkins
  • Chandler Jones
  • Budda Baker
  • Von Miller
  • JuJu Smith-Schuster
  • Isaiah Simmons
  • Chris Godwin

Los Angeles Rams 3-13 Headcoach brazyxai_

The Los Angeles Rams May find themselves in the middle of a rebuild as they finished the season 3-13 a year ago. There are rumblings that Aaron Donald, and Jalen Ramsey are demanding trades, as the Defensive scheme that the Rams coach has put into place saw Donald get the fewest sacks of his career, and Jalen Ramsey look absolutely ordinary in terms of a corner. The Rams have placd their faith in now second year starter Trey Lance who has all the metrics for a QB, but decision making has been absolutely brutal for the QB out of North Dakota as he threw an all time league leading, history leading 60 ints. For the Rams to become relevant they may need to slow things down, and hand the ball off to the newly acquired Marlon Mack.

Notable Players:

  • Aaron Donald
  • Jalen Ramsey
  • Cooper Kupp
  • John Johnson III
  • Marlon Mack

NFC East:

New York Giants 11-5 Headcoach THE-Kiid-Kenny (Wildcard)

The New York Giants lost the seat of Power as they give the Division to The Washington Football Team. They however come back this season with a new found optimism. It also helps when you have 2000 yard back Saquon Barkley in the Backfield! The Giants know though they will only go as far as the right arm of Daniel Jones will take them. Jones has the Weapons with Darius Slayton, and Sammy Watkins. However with Barkley in the backfield some believe he has retarded his growth, and could be standing in the way of greatness. Jones played the game of his life in the playoffs, and will look to build on that in the up and coming season.

Notable Players:

  • Saquon Barkley
  • Daniel Jones
  • Darius Slayton
  • Sammy Watkins
  • Carl Lawson
  • Leonard Williams

Washington Football Team 11-5 Headcoach Newmoon001 (Division Winner)

The Washington Football Team won the Division a year ago sweeping the NFC East, and will look to bring out the brooms again. However the Teams are much improved, but so are the Redskins. They were big spenders in the Off-season bringing in LG matt Feiler, & C Gabe Jackson to help build their offensive line that has been wavering since the departure of Trent Willilams. The WFT however are a Defensive team lead by their front 4 that consists of 4 1st rond draft picks with Montez Sweat, and Chase Young Spear heading the unit. With that front four the WFT was the #1 ranked Defense in the league, and will look to continue the trend this year.

Notable Players:

  • Chase Young
  • Montez Sweat
  • Brandon Scherf
  • D'Eriq King
  • Antonio Gibson
  • Brevin Jordan
  • Terry McLaurin

Dallas Cowboys 3-13 Headcoach Raw_Diaw

The Dallas Cowboys at 3-13 for the second straight year caused their Owner/Headcoach Raw_Diaw to reevaluate everything. Playing football that is more akin to an arcade, and not The League will get you in trouble in more ways than one. However with a new found optimism, and a full year under the belt for Justin Fields the Cowboys could be primed and ready to make the step back to contender. With a Allstar team for a lineup the time is now! look for the Team in Texas to get going, and begin to start the process of competing in every game.

Notable Players:

  • Ezekiel Elliott
  • Noah Fant
  • Amari Cooper
  • CeeDee Lamb
  • Zack Martin
  • Justin Fields

Philadelphia Eagles 3-13 Headcoach Melblaze3521

The Philadelphia Eagles ended the season with the leagues worst offense at 14ppg for the second straight year, and just like the Cowboys need to find a offense that works for them. A mahjor move by the Eagles however saw them trade for Super Star Kicker Josh Lambo as the Eagles are pereniy one of the worst kicking teams in the league. Because of it the Eagles took one 22 yard Field Goal all season long. With Lambo now in the Fold the Eagles could surprise some teams this season.

Notable Players:

  • Fletcher Cox
  • Zach Ertz
  • Brandon Brooks
  • Darius Slay Jr
  • Carson Wentz

NFASL Season 3 Kickoff Game

The NFASL is Back!  The New Season is upon us, and just like seasons past there are 32 teams all feeling like there time is now! Hope Springs eternal, but so does the start of a NFASL Madden Season! The Packers were dethroned by the Carolina Panthers and their League MVP Christian McCaffrey who ran wild in the regular season, and followed up with a Super Bowl performance that will not soon be matched as he had 6 touchdowns in the win. The Panthers finished the regular season with a 12-4 record, and coach conkQB12 earned his place in the Hall of Champions (write up below).

The League just continues to get better and better, and the implementation of the Draft lottery has taken this league to the next level. Removing any incentive to tank as teams 1-18 have equal chance at garnering the 1st pick in the draft, and moving their draft stock has made every single game have more meaning. We also made another big change that should help the league balance itself as we moved every single Wide receivers run blocking, Impact blocking, and lead blocking to 35 ,and below. This should help stop wide receiver consistently sealing the edge on Sweeps, Stretches, inside Zone, etc.... Hopefully the Days of Wide Receivers stone walling Linebackers are over. We are also working on a system that rewards sim play, and removes the incentive for playing fast and loose. No Player should expect to be X-Factor if they are throwing 30, 40, 50 interceptions in a season. Or players not hi-lighting these X-Factor players in an attempt to upgrade another player to that X-Factor Status. Be Warned we are trying to come up with a system that if you see a player move out of the top at their position in the league they may be subject to losing their X-Factor, and abilities all together.

The new Season is here, Things are moving full speed ahead, so lets have a good fun season with all 32 members remaining from the start. Of all the things that I want for this league is for each and every member to stay, and enjoy the good, and bad times.

   Bears Have No Love Lost!

Green Bay, WS. Lambeau Field. Rivalry Game! In the NFASL Kick Off Game the Chicago Bears traveled to legenday Lambeau Field to take on their Division rival the Green Bay Packers in their Kick off Game! When the Smoke cleared it was the Monsters of the Midway laying the smack down on the Packers 45-38. Jordan Love took over the starting duties for the aging Aaron Rodgers now in his 17th season. If the loss isn't bad enough the Packers Soon to be Hall of Famer has already demanded a trade, as he believes he still has a lot in the tank. Love Played well in spite of the loss as he finished with a game high 479 yards passing, and 5 touchdowns. However he threw 4 interceptions with the 4th being the worst as the Packers had a chance to tie the Bears late in the 4th quarter. However Shaq Thompsons Interception in the Endzone spoiled any chance of a Packers win.

The #1 pick from a year ago by the Bears Trevor Lawrence had full command of the Bears offense, and looks like he will be a star in the league for many years to come. Lawrence finished the game with 381 yards, and 3 tds. His Favorite target was Cole Kmet who hauled in 6 receptions for 131 yards. The Bears after having missed the playoffs a year ago by one game won the lottery moving from pick 18 all the way to selection #2. With the pick he selected the 6'6" RG Jacob Monk out of Duke to help protect the savior of the Bears Franchise. So far so good as Monk did not relinquish any sacks against one of the leagues best front 7's. The Story of the night however was the Bears Defense as 2nd year pro Tyson Campbell made his bid for player of the week as he intercepted Jordan love 3 times to include a 61 yard interception return that swung the momentum in the direction of the Bears.

The Bears will take on the NFC East New York Giants in Week 2, and hope to contain Saquon Barkley last years runner up in the MVP. The Packers will look to get their first win of the season as they take on another Division Rival the Detroit Lions with arguably one of the best secondaries in the game.

The new season is upon us, every team has a chance to win, and optimism is renewed!  Until next time this has been a Sim Athletics Network Production.

 Keep Pounding!

Super Bowl XXXVIII. Dallas, TX. AT&T Stadium. Broadcast Team of Raw_Diaw, Traylonkanana, & SleepingKnapp.  In the NFASL Super Bowl XXXVI The Carolina Panthers are the Super Bowl Champions as they defeated the Baltimore Ravens 45-24! The Games MVP was also the Leagues MVP as Christian McCaffrey ran wild as he carried the ball  25 times for 190yards, and a Super Bowl record 6 touchdowns! McCaffrey also Hauled in 6 passes for 50 yards from the acquistion of the Off-season Matthew Stafford. Stafford played game manager during the season, and that carried over into the Super Bowl as he was 17-23 with 222 yards, and no touchdowns. Not earth shattering, but he didn't make any plays to hurt his team, but hit some big time throws throughout the  game to keep the ball in the hands of The Panthers. That manageent style lead to the Panthers winning the time of possession by a Margin of 20:21 to 15:39 for the Ravens. They also had 6 third down conversions to the Ravens 0. The Panthes big time players made big time plays as Donte Jackson intercepted Lamar Jackson twice, with none so big as the one late in the second quarter as he stepped in front of Nick Boyle to turn the momentum around for the Panthers as the Ravens were on the move.

The Ravens were coached by 6 time Hall of Champions Coach Tommanowns so it was surprising to see any team coached by him make the mistakes that cost them the game. The Ravens were 14-2 on the season, and the heavy favorites coming into the game. However as they say, this is why you play the game. The Ravens got major contributions from the players you would expect as Jackson threw for 229yards, and 2 touchdowns however 2 costly interceptions may have been the difference. Jackson also carried the ball 4 times for 51yards. 2nd year star J.K. Dobbins rushed for 65 yards, on 12 carries, and scored a touchdown. While Marquise Brown hauled in a game high 4 receptions for 111yards, and scored the only receiving touchdown for the game. The Game was the Ravens to win as they were up 7-0, 10-7, and driving late in the 2nd quarter when Lamar Jackson on 2nd & 1 rolling to the right sideline threw a ill conceived pass that was intercepted. After that play the Panthers had all the momentum, and the Ravens went from leading 10-7 with a little more than a minute to go in the second quarter to finding themselves down 17-10 at the start of the 3rd quarter. Most people say that a Game isn't lost on just 1 play, but I dare say that this play was the one that swung the game in the direction of the Panthers. From there the Panthers jumped out to a 24-10 lead, and the Ravens were playing catch up all day, and finally succumbed to the force known as Christian McCaffrey.

The Carolina Panthers were coached by conkQB12, and will write his name into the Hall of Champions to be forever remembered as the Team to win Super Bowl XXXVIII, the final Second Season of Madden 21!

..

Lets have a conversation with Super Bowl XXXVIII winner Coach conkQB12:

  • You won Super Bowl XXXVIII! What was your gameplan Going in??

My Gameplan was to keep Lamar, and Hollywood Brown contained. The Ravens are best when Lamar is using his feet. I also made sure Hollywood didn't get behind my secondary as he does it so well.

  • Your team fell down 7-0, then 10-3 and saw the Ravens hold you to a 3, and out early in the Second Quarter. However Donte Jackson's two interceptions on Lamar Jackson sparked your team. Can you elaborate on that sequence?

It always takes me a few drives to figure offensive, and Defensive Tendencies. However as soon as I figured out what he likes to run, my offense, and defense flipped to take the momentum.

  • You Went up 23-10, then 31-24 in the third quarter but the Ravens scored Toucchdowns to keep the pressure on how did you pull it out in the end?

I Kept making sure I was ahead of the Sticks, and kept pounding the ball with McCaffrey. That formula lead to points, even after his offense got going again.

  • The Leagues MVP, was also the Super Bowls MVP with 25 carries, 190 yards, and a Super Bowl Record 6 touchdowns. Can you talk about Christian McCaffrey?

As a new Coach of the Panthers I didn't know how good McCaffrey was until I started throwing to him out of the Backfield. He's the MVP for a reason. So dynamic with the ball in his hands, so I knew he was going to win the game for us.

  • You're the Super Bowl XXXVIII Champ, the floor is yours. Is there anything you want to say to the rest of the League?

This is a relatively young team, and only getting better so don't be surprised if i'm back here next year! #keepPounding!

Commissioners Newmoons thoughts:

Madden 21 Season II is in the record Books with the Carolina Panthers Dethroning the Packers, and now wearing the crown. Heavy is the head that wears the Crown, and now every team will be gunning for them next season. This Madden Season has once again been a success thanks to it's members, and my two top Lieutenants, JD, and Shooter. I can't say this enough, this league would not be run nearly as smoothly without the help of those two. With so much going on in the world my work schedule has been hell, but we still manage to keep the ball rolling. Of course no Madden season is without it's fair share of controversy and this one is no different. The EA Developers are once again seemingly breaking this game with every update, but yet we manage. Going forward we will be making some changes to run blocking, as well as come up with a system for developing or removing abilities, and XFactors. Guys throwing caution to the wind for Developments will be penalized. 30-50 interceptions can't not be tolerated. So Just like we took the incentive away for tanking, we will take awa the incentive for playing fast and loose. Some will love it, some will hate it. Kinda like Coffee flavored Ice cream.......

It's been a pleasure, and I'm hoping that this 32 stays for the whole cycle of Madden 21. I feel like this crew is forming up nicely, and I'm sure you guys feel the same way. I will be doing a few more meet the members so if you have not done one expect a message in your Inbox soon!

NFASL Madden 21 Season II Mid Season report

On this edition of ESPNEWS It's Week 9, the 1/2 mark of the Season and it's time to look at what's going on in the NFASL. The Green Bay Packers are the Defending Super Bowl Champions, and they look to be on a crash course again with Super Bowl XXXVIII with a perfect 8-0 record. The League is a well oiled Machine, and clicking on all cylinders. With the Lottery Sytem in place the reason to tank has been removed so I'm especially excited to see how things shake out during the home stretch. Removing the benefit of losing games will make the late season match ups simply put, exciting.

How the Lottery System will work is this:

  •  I have already purchased a Ball hopper, and will place a number assigned to any Non-Playoff Team
  • Every Team that doesn't make the Playoffs will have equal odds of getting the #1 Draft Pick
  • Draft Picks for non-playoff teams will no longer be set by Record, but by Lottery IE; 18 teams don't make the playoffs. If the Eagles finish 1-15 they will not be assured the #1 Pick, but a pick in the range of  1-18. I will place 18 balls in the hopper, and however they fall is how they will fall.
  • There is literally no reason on Earth to tank games in the NFASL, further making this the best League this side of Heaven

Lets take a look at the Conferences in the NFASL, and see how things are shaking out.

In the AFC the Baltimore Ravens are the lone undefeated teams with a perfect 8-0 record. They lead the AFC North, and Made a move to sure up their Secondary trading for Pro Bowler Justin Reid from the Houston Texans. After a Dog Fight a year ago in which 3 teams made the Playoffs the AFC North has taken a step back with Browns, Bengals, and Steelers all below .500. The Steelers however traded for Dwayne Haskins, who has struggled replacing Ben Roethlisberger. The Browns Traded Jarvis Landry to the Dolphins allowing teams to double Odell Beckham Jr. The Bengals made a splash trading for Terron Armstead as they try to develop Joe Burrow who has shown flashes, but must bring down his interception total.

The most competitive Division in the AFC is the South as every team is within 1-2 games of one another with the Titans having a slight lead. The Titans traded one of their defensive centerpieces Harold Landry III. However their Struggles begin, and end with Ryan Tannehill whose 15ints, to only 8tds has been the difference between this year, and last. The Colts after having missed the playoffs a year ago, jumped out to a great start behind rookie signal caller Jamie Newman. The Colts are also getting Major contributions from 2nd year back Jonathan Taylor, and 3rd year wide receiver Parris Campbell. The Texans jumped out to a 2-0 start, however hit a swoon losing 5 in a row. a week 9 win against the Colts could jumpstart the season for them. Giving DeShaun Watson Mark Andrews, and Rookie Speedster has helped as Watson Leads the Division in Passing Yards.

Going 16-0 in the regular season a year ago, and now being 4-4 for the New England Patriots seems like a major step back. However they are still in the lead in the East, have made a off-season trade for Drew Lock, and accumulated multiple Draft Picks trading off older players, such as Stefon Gilmore. The Patriots are doing a great job of being competitive, whilst still building for the future. The Dolphins rebuilt their offensive line from the Ground up, and the proof is in the pudding. Matt Breida is among the league leaders in rushing, and Tua Tagvaiola has shown steady improvement. The Dolphins also acquired Jarvis Landry from the Cleveland Browns, and a off-season move that will bring in Curtis Samuel could be just what the Doctor ordered for the Dolphins.

The New York Jets, and Buffalo Bills have to be disappointed with their seasons so far as 2-6 records just won't get it done. Especially for the Bills who have surrounded Josh Allen with several Talented players. Matthew Ioannidis Leads the Division in Sacks, and Trading for Christian Kirk should have given Stefon Diggs more single coverage. The Jets are in a rebuild mode, however has opted not to make many moves. Sam Darnold has regressed as he has thrown 23ints to only 9tds for the Team from Gotham

In the West the leagues two Speedsters Tyreek Hill, and Henry Ruggs III are both in the Division. Bad news for both the Chargers, and the Broncos because they have to run around and chase them. The Chiefs lead the Division right now, but know their most fierce competitior are the 6-3 Las Vegas Raiders. They match up, and are very familiar with each others playstyles, and should make for interesting match ups later on in the season. Both the Broncos, and the Chargers have made several moves opting to rebuild early, and wait for the Chiefs, and Raiders to either get a little older, or draft players more befitting a Division with those two Speed Demons.

The Broncos have traded Drew Lock to the Patriots, and will most likely look to the draft for a QB.

Los Angeles Rams 1-7 23.5 14th 31st

In the NFC the Green Bay Packers are the Only undefeated team as they have a perfect 8-0 record, and are riding high after their come from behind 4th qtr Comeback from Aaron Rodgers against the San Francisco 49ers. The Packers lead the North, and have opted to not make many changes to a Super Bowl Winning team. They have Rodgers heir apparent in waiting Jordan Love, but we are several seasons away from him taking snaps. Davante Adams has been putting together a MVP type season hauling in 36 Passes, and 7 tds. He seemingly grabs every 3rd down catch thrown at him to boot.

The Chicago Bears drafted a can't miss Quarterback in Trevor Lawrence, and so far so good as he leads the Division in Passing Yards, and Touchdowns with 2242, and 16 However he also leads the Division in Interceptions with 20 which is to be expected with a Young QB. The Bears have been very one dimensional however especially with Cordarrelle Patterson becoming their primary ball carrier whose natural position was Wide Receiver. The Detroit Lions have arguably the best Secondary in the league, and a front 7 that consists of several pass rushers. With Dak Prescott Leading the Helm the Lions could be a sleeper in the North if the coach can get his personal life in order. A schedule that is more akin to European timelines Forced L's may be in his future. The Vikings have taken a giant step backward as coach Dhontos has begun a fire sale, and is now in rebuild mode. The Vikings have parted ways with Eric Kendrics, and Off-season trades of Harrison Smith, and Yannick NgaKoue. They have accumulated a plethora of 1st Round Draft Picks, that should bode well for future seasons, however this one is all but over.

It looks like a 2 team race in the South as the Carolina Panthers, and Atlanta Falcons are in a battle for the Division. The Panthers right now lead it as Christian McCaffrey is not only the leagues leading rusher, but in the pole position for the Leagues MVP. Matthew Stafford has found second life in Carolina, and with his strong arm the Panthers have mastered playaction, which could be the reason for their success. The Falcons made the move of the season trading for the Leagues best corner in Stephon Gilmore a move made for the playoffs as the Falcons learned a year ago. With Gilmore in the secondary shutting down the opposing teams best receiver the Falcons are top 10 in defensive yards. Tampa Bay has played muscial chairs at Quarterback and the Team has struggled because of it. At 3-3-1 the Buccaneers are not out of it, but the General manager is antsy, and has made several mind boggling moves with the team. Not to mention benching Hall of Famer Tom Brady... The New Orleans Saints could not have handled the retirement of Drew Brees worse, as they did not set themselves up for the future, even though they were in position to draft one of the highly rated QBs. instead they have handed over the reins to Jared Goff, but their troubles are deeper than the Signal caller position. When you have the Leagues worst defense, and a 0-8 record changes are not only expected, but imminent.

In the NFC East the Washington Football Team EST 1932 has a slight lead over the New York Giants. However it should close as the Giants play the Eagles in week 9. The WFT traded Dwayne Haskins opting to go with their 1st round pick D'Eriq King. King has reminded anyone who watches him of RGIII circa 2012 as he not only leads the Division in Completion Percentage, but the entire league at 81% King Leads the Division in Touchdown Passes with 17, to only 5 ints and leads the League in Total QBR at 136.0, over Pat Mahomes's 135.1. The Giants have opted to become multi Faceted, and has gotten Daniel Jones more into the Offense  as he leads the Division with 1644 yards. The Giants still go as the Reigning MVP Saquon Barkley 3rd in the league in rushing with 1095yards, however he has not been putting up numbers like he had a year ago. As we get closer to the Playoffs expect his Carries to double, and his Yardage. The Dallas Cowboys traded Dak Prescott giving the Reins to Ohio States Justin Fields. Fields has shown that he is highly capable of making every throw in the league, not to mention an athleticism that has to be gameplanned for. The Fault lies at the feet of the Cowboys Headcoach who has seen his team in every game, but failed to make the proper play down the stretch to pull out a victory. The Philadelphia Eagles surprisngly have the leagues best Defense yards wise, but is the worst in Offensive points scored.

The NFC West is a two team race between the San Francisco 49ers, and the Seattle Seahawks. Both teams are in a dead heat, however the Seahawks made the first Salvo in an arms race trading for Eric Kendricks. The Niners Reliant on Raheem Mostert has vowed to open up the offense, and not be so one dimensional. Jimmy G has lived up to his part of the bargain as he has thrown 27tds in 9 games. The Seahawks are dangerous in the Division with the addition of Kendricks to a Defense that already has Jamal Adams the Seahawks are the favorites in my eyes to come out of the West. Icycca has to play to his full potential however, especially in big games which he has failed to win consistently. The Arizona Cardinals at 3-4 are still in the mix, but has already started dismantling the team trading away Christian Kirk, and has made a off-season move that will send Andy Isabella to the Vikings. With DeAndre Hopkins, and kyler Murray these moves are head scratchers indeed. The Los Angeles Rams at 1-7 are for all intents and purposes out of the playoff race. However they are not sitting idly by. They drafted Trey Lance in the Off-season so they are set at Quarterback. They have also been busy in terms of trades they picked up Harold Landry III to add to a defense that consists of Aaron Donald, and Jalen Ramsey. The Rams if they can get their act together has a very competitive team, but the Headcoach plays fast, and loose which may not be the best way to win in that division.

NFASL Madden 22 Season II Preview AFC

The NFASL is entering it's second season on Madden 21. With the AFC losing Super Bowl XXXVII changes were to be expected, and a change is what we did get. The AFC Representative the Pittsburgh Steelers no longer has Big Ben Roethlisberger throwing passes, but 3rd year player out of Ohio State Dwayne Haskins. Haskins was acquired in a Week 2 trade with The Washington Football Team, so his development should improve behind a dominant O-Line, and several big time pass catchers. The AFC Saw Several players retire most notably being Campbell, Richie Incognito, Philip Rivers, & Cameron Wake. There were also major trades with Stephon Gilmore being shipped to the Falcons, J.C. Jackson, and Joe Tuney taking up residence in the Chicago, Davante Parker Going to the Ravens, Richard Sherman now intercepting passes in Las Vegas Nevada for the Raiders , instead of Santa Clara California for the Niners. In any regard lets preview the AFC .

AFC North:

Pittsburgh Steelers 11-5 Headcoach Hac_3443 (Division Winner)

The Pittsburgh Steelers won the AFC North which propelled this team through the playoffs having one of the best playoff runs in league memory defeating the Baltimore Ravens, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the 16-0 perfect New England Patriots. Unfortunately they came up 2 points shy in the Super Bowl falling 24-22 to the Green Bay Packers. The Steelers then made several changes to their team with the most notable being the change at Quarterback which saw them bring in Dwayne Haskins from the Washington Football Team. Haskins will be tasked with being the Quarterback of the future, however he must win right now.

Notable Players:

  • Minkah Fitzpatrick
  • JuJu Smith-Schuster
  • Cameron Heyward
  • T.J. Watt
  • Stephon Tuitt

Baltimore Ravens 10-6 Headcoach Tommanowns (Wildcard)

As one of the premiere franchises in the NFASL the Ravens were none to pleased to see their Division rival the Steelers win the Division, but took solace in watching them come up Short in Super Bowl XXXVII. With Lamar Jackson, Marquise Brown, and J.K. Dobbins the Ravens have one of the Youngest most explosive teams in the League. Not to mention a 6 time Super Bowl winning coach in Tommanowns at the Helm the Ravens should be one of the teams to keep an eye for all season long.

Notable Players:

  • Lamar Jackson
  • Marlon Humphrey
  • Marquise Brown
  • Marcus Peters
  • Justin Tucker  (Best Kicker)

Cincinatti Bengals 9-7 Headcoach Bgreat238 (Wildcard)

The Cincinatti Bengals Joe Burrows #1 overall a year ago, and in that same season made the Playoffs bringing in a wildcard spot. That's a scuccess by any metric, and one that did not go unnoticed by the rest of the league. They also managed in that same year to geta steal in the Draft by the name of Akeem Davis-Gaither who just so happened to win Defensive Rookie of the year. They added Evan Engram in the Off-season, and feel as though their team is ready to compete for the Championship. I cannot disagree.

Notable Players:

  • Joe Mixon
  • Evan Engram
  • Joe Burrow
  • John Ross III
  • Akeem Davis-Gaither (Defensive Rookie of the Year)

Cleveland Browns 5-11 Headcoach ChiefHawker3

The Browns finished the season 5-11, and with a team that stacks up against some of the leagues best in terms of talent that record should not be duplicated again. With Myles Garrett garnering best defensive lineman, the Browns may lean more heavily on a run game that highlights Nick Chubb, utilizing Playaction to Odell Beckham Jr. With the Loss of Jarvis Landry Teams are more apt to Double Beckham. Expect a surge in wins for the Team from Ohio, they have the talent, they just have to put it together.

Notable Players:

  • Myles Garrett (Best Defensive Lineman)
  • Nick Chubb
  • Odell Beckham Jr
  • Austin Hooper
  • Denzel Ward

AFC West:

Kansas City Chiefs 11-5 Headcoach CapnClutchKC (Division Winner)

The Kansas City Chiefs are lead by the Face of the League Patrick Mahomes, and last season was no different. Mahomes put up stellar numbers a year ago, and will look to do the same thing this year. With a team that has speed at every position that features Tyreek Hill, and Mecole hardman the Chiefs are a rare team that you can't get ready for. They added Derrius Guice in the in the Offseason to give them a tough yards back to spell Damian Williamson who was unstoppable at points last season. With Tyrann Mathieu becoming the Premeire Defensive back in the league this could be the season the Chiefs hang a banner.

Notable Players:

  • Pat Mahomes (Best Quarterback)
  • Tyreek Hill
  • Tyrann Mathieu (Defensive Player of the Year) (Best Defensive Back)
  • Chris Jones
  • Mecole Hardman

Los Angeles Chargers 8-8 Headcoach stefmoney08

The Los Angeles Chargers made struggled with the Chiefs Speed, so decided on bringing in Veteran Patrick Peterson to play alongside Derwin James. The Chargers failed to win in week 17 which would have given them a post-season shot, however those Chiefs stood in their way. Austin Ekeler who was the Offensive player of the year could be the Key to it all as his production was unmatched. Expect a heavy dose of Ekeler with timely passes from 2nd year player Justin Herbert who will look to avoid a sophomore slump.

Notable Players:

  • Keenan Allen
  • Derwin James Jr.
  • Joey Bosa
  • Desmond King II
  • Austin Ekeler (Offensive Player of the Year)

Oakland Raiders 5-11 Headcoach e30zack

The Las Vegas Raiders were hoping to have a better season in their first in Las Vegas. Instead a 5-11 season turned into a Develop players season with Henry Ruggs III getting most of the attention. They now feel it's time to win as they went out and added some veteran leadership in the form of Richard Sherman, and Earl Thomas III to give this team the added Ooomph to make a long post-season jaunt. The Question ins however are those veterans fast enough to compete in a young mans league. Youth, or experience what will be the victor.

Notable Players:

  • Rodney Hudson
  • Josh Jacobs
  • Richard Sherman
  • Darren Waller
  • Earl Thomas III
  • Henry Ruggs III

Denver Broncos 6-10 Headcoach PhillySunoco

The Denver Broncos at 6-10 were lead by Rookie Jerry Jeudy who brought in to season awards the Offensive Rookie of the year award, and the Best Wide Receiver. That experience should mean the Broncos offense should kick it up a nothc as Drew Lock showed that he is a Franchise Quarterback a year ago. Von Miller is getting long in tooth, but still showed that he is a force to be reckoned with. However with his best days behind him, Miller would love nothing more than to bring this Proud Franchise another Championship.

Notable Players:

  • Von Miller (Best Linebacker)
  • Ali Marpet
  • Justin Simmons
  • Jerry Jeudy (Offensive Rookie of the Year) (Best Wide Receiver)
  • Phillip Lindsay

AFC South:

Tennessee Titans 13-3 Headcoach ChocoRainReubz (Division Winner)

The Tennessee Titans dominated the South a year ago finishing with a 13-3 record. They were lead by Battering Ram of a Back Derrick Henry, and a defense that was #1 in take aways. Kevin Ballard, Jadeveon Clowney, and many others were hell on Sundays as teams did not expect team speed and ferociousness that hasn't been seen in the league since the 80's. Expect another repeat of that this season as the Titans stood mostly pat in the off-season instead leaning on a team that was clicking on all cylinders all season long. .

Notable Players:

  • Derrick Henry
  • Kevin Ballard
  • Jadeveon Clowney
  • Adoree' Jackson

Jacksonvile Jaguars 9-7 Headcoach ThePacificiCowboy (Wildcard)

The Jacksonville were one of the Surprise teams in the league a year ago starting 15 rookies throughout the season. They were able to grab a Wildcard spot, and although they did not win in the playoffs just being there was an accomplishment. The Jaguars will need steady Quarterback play out of Gardner Minshew if they want to take that next step. With the big play capabilities of D.J. Chark they have their Michael Irvin, they just are looking for their Aikman, and Emmitt.

Notable Players:

  • D.J. Chark Jr
  • Myles Jack
  • Josh Allen
  • Jacquiski Tartt

Indianapolis Colts 7-9 Headcoach Gaberooni54

The Team that no one wanted to face late in the season are the Indianapolis Colts. After a slow start they turned it on down the stretch, and almost got into the Post-season. They will look to carry that over into this season, as the Colts are one of the more balanced teams in the league. With a dominant Offensive line, and a incredible front 7 the Colts just may take the south this season. There big Acquisition in the Off-season was Jason McCourty which should help them immensely in the Secondary

Notable Players:

  • Quenton Nelson
  • DeFerest Buckner
  • Darius Leonard
  • Chris Harris Jr
  • T.Y. Hilton
  • Jason McCourty

Houston Texans 4-12 Headcoach Jace_Curry25

The Texans were set up for failure at the start of the year when the Real life Texans traded their best player Deshaun Watson right before the Season for what amounted to a hill of beans. The Texans in Madden had to deal with tht loss, and finished the season with a 4-12 record. The Texans Made a splash trading for Tight End Mark Andrews giving Super Star Deshaun Watson another weapon that should balance out the Texans offense. Look for the Texans to get into the swing of things as the Season progresses.

Notable Players:

  • J.J. Watt
  • DeShaun Watson
  • Mark Andrews
  • Brandin Cooks
  • Will Fuller V

AFC East:

New England Patriots 16-0 Headcoach SleepingKnapp (Division Winner)

The New England Patriots were top dog in the Conference, and League finishing with a 16-0 record, however they were unable to go down in the Annals of history as they came up short falling to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Post-Season. The Patriots made some major moves to get younger as they saw their Super Bowl Window closing. They Traded the Games Best Corner Back Stephon Gilmore who single handed locked down the opposing teams best receiver. They also let Jason McCourty, and  J.C. Jackson go from there secondary which was a strength, but now is one of the games worst. Expect the Patriots to take a step back this season, however perfection was going to be impossible to duplicate.

Notable Players:

  • Devin McCourty
  • Sony Michel  (Best Running Back)
  • Jonathan Jones
  • Calvin Ridley
  • Cam Newton
  • Shaq Mason (Best Offensive Lineman)

Buffalo Bills 8-8 Headcoach OffensiveDom

The Buffalo Bills came up just short of the playoffs a year ago, and have made a move to put major pressure in the middle of the Defense with the arrival of Matthew Ioannidis, and Ryan Kerrigan in a trade with the Washington Football Team. With those moves Bills Front 7 has become one of the leagues best, and could result in them taking down the New England Patriots. Josh Allens strong arm allows him to make throws many quarterbacks can only dream of, and with another season of familiarity with Stefon Diggs the look for the Bills to put up a fight, and break through to the post season this season.

Notable Players:

  • Josh Allen
  • Stefon Diggs
  • Tre'Davious White
  • Matthew Ioannidis
  • Micah Hyde
  • Ed Oliver

New York Jets 5-11 Headcoach Traylonakanana

The New York Jets unhappy with the way their Defense played made a major move bringing in pretty much the entire Bears defense as they have Roquan Smith, Eddie Goldman, and Kyle Fuller. They also made another win now move as they paid big money for A.J. Green which should help out Sam Darnold as he continues to lead a franchise who has struggled in recent memory. The Defensive addition should bode well for this team in the Division, and could make it a 3 way race.

Notable Players:

  • Avery Williamson
  • C.J. Mosley
  • Eddie Goldman
  • Roquan Smith
  • Kyle Fuller
  • A.J. Green
  • Quinnen Williams

Miami Dolphins 5-11 Headcoach I757IMonster

The Miami Dolphins Have their Quarterback of the Future in Tua Tagovaiola, then went out and acquired the Offensive line of the Future to protect him drafting 3 offnsive linemen in the first round. With Matt Breida running behind what many think could be the best offensive line in football in a few years, the Dolphins are planning to run teams into the ground. This season however should still be a rebuild, but expect Tua to take another step in terms of development, and finish around .500 on the season.

Notable Players:

  • Tua Tagovaiola
  • Byron Jones
  • Jarvis Landry
  • Xavien Howard
  • Matt Breida

NFASL Madden 21 Season II Preview

The NFC is home of Super Bowl XXXVII Champions the Green Bay Packers, so this is where we start our previews. There were several moves made over the Off-season, and beginning parts of Season II that it is mind boggling to say the Least. Drew Brees, Adrian Peterson, Cameron Wake, Alex mack, Jason Witten, and a myriad of other big time players retired. Big Ben Roethlisberger, Alex Smith, Jared Goff, and other staples of franchised were released, and let go into free agency. Dak Prescott, Stephon Gilmore, Roquan Smith, Eddie Goldman, Kyle Fuller, Richard Sherman, and many others were all traded to different franchises, and that's just off the top of my head. Season 1 was a mind warp, and we have 9 more to go! With that said, lets preview the NFC East for Madden 21, Season II.

NFC North:

Green Bay Packers 14-2 Headcoach Deuce4975 (Division Winner)

The Green Bay Packers Won Super Bowl XXXVII, and are the heavy favorite to win Super Bowl XXXVIII. With Aaron Rodgers now 37 years old, his time being one of the games best Quarterbacks should be winding down sooner rather, than later as Father Time is undefeated. In the meantime, They are well within their rights to lean on a ferocious defense, and a solid run game lead by Aaron Jones.

Notable Players:

  • Aaron Rodgers
  • Davante Adams
  • Jaire Alexander
  • Kenny Clark
  • Aaron Jones
  • Za'Darius Smith

Minnesota Vikings 10-6 Headcoach dhontos (Wildcard)

The Minnesota Vikings made the playoffs a year ago, and represented themselves well when they were there. unfortunately their championship window could be closing as they are one of the older teams in the league. With Harrison Smith, Michael Pierce, Adam Thielen, linval Joseph, Kirk Cousins, Kyle Rudolph, Anthony Barr, and Eric Kendricks staples of their team all pushing 30 the Vikings need to make as many moves to win right now as possible.

Notable Players:

  • Dalvin Cook
  • Harrison Smith
  • Danielle Hunter
  • Michael Pierce
  • Adam Thielen
  • Yannick Ngakoue

Detroit Lions 2-14 Headcoach Hitsquad954

  • Justin Coleman

Chicago Bears 2-14 Headcoach Jady_Tru

NFC West:

San Francisco 49ers 13-3 Headcoach Kaliko_420 (Division Winner)

The San Francisco 49ers won the most competitive Division in the NFC behind the 2000 yard performance of Raheem Mostert in the regular season. However the struggles of their passing game, as it often does for team to reliant on the run came back to bite them in the playoffs. The Niners have vowed to get Jimmy G More involved balancing out their offense, which may lead to less regular season wins, but better success long term. The Niners have all the makings of a stellar passing attack with George Kittle the Games best tightend in the middle of the field. With Raheem Mostert at 29 years old a step down is coming, so winning now should be their #1 priority.

Notable Players:

  • George Kittle
  • Raheem Mostert
  • Nick Bosa
  • Trent Williams
  • Fred Warner
  • Arik Armstead
  • Kwon Alexander

Seattle Seahawks 11-5 Headcoach IcyyCA (Wildcard)

The Seattle Seahawks took a huge step last season garnering the Wildcard, and posting an 11 win season. They will be looking to take the next step as Russell Wilson is one of the games best quarterbacks, and has one of the best receiving Corps in football. They are getting older, and are like a lot of teams with a window to win now. They were quiet in the off-season deciding to build in house.

Notable Players:

  • Russell Wilson
  • D.K. Metcalf
  • Jamal Adams
  • Bobby Wagner

Arizona Cardinals 11-5 Headcoach Papalon24 (Wildcard)

The Arizona Cardinals made the playoffs a year ago the 3rd team in the NFC West to do so. The Addition of DeAndre Hopkins to go along with Kyler Murray took this team to the next level as the Cardinals have all the makings of a super Bowl contender. They added Hunter Henry, and Chris Godwin in the off-season forcing teams to honor every aspect of the field on offense, while on defense they have Isaiah Simmons who moved to corner, along with Byron Murphy Jr., and Chandler Jones on defense the Cardinals are the favorites to come out of the West.

Notable Players:

  • Kyler Murray
  • DeAndre Hopkins
  • Chandler Jones
  • Chris Godwin

Los Angeles Rams 2-14 Headcoach brazyxai_

The Los Angeles Rams have easily the best defensive player in the Game as Aaron Donalds presence must be accounted for at all times on the Football Field. However Donald was unable to help the Rams from a 2-14 season. They were able to Move up in the draft, and selected Trey Lance out of North Dakota State a player many think will be a major talent in the NFL. That moved signaled the end for Jared Goff, as he was released, and allowed to go into free agency. The Rams also added Marlon Mack to an already crowded running back room as Cam Akers, and Darrell henderson all will be tasked with splitting duties.

Notable Players:

  • Aaron Donald
  • Jalen Ramsey
  • Cooper Kupp

NFC South:

Atlanta Falcons 13-3 Headcoach PrimtiveMind (Division Winner)

The Atlanta Falcons were 13-3 a year ago, and won the NFC South but fell short in the playoffs to the  eventual Super Bowl Winners the Green Bay Packers. The Falcons did not stand by, but went and traded for the games best Corner Back Stephon Gilmore with Davante Adams in mind come the Post-season. They also gave Julio Jones another Super Star on the outside pairing him with Michael Galllup who should stop teams from being able to double Julio, down in, and down out. The Falcons are going all in on this season, and only the Lombardi Trophy, and Hall of Champions will do!

Notable Players:

  • Stephon Gilmore
  • Julio Jones
  • Grady Jarrett
  • Deion Jones
  • Michael Gallup
  • Matt Ryan

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 10-6 Headcoach Kevin_3447

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made a bold move going in favor of the Rookie Feleipe Franks out of Arkansas over the 1st ballot Hall of Famer Tom Brady. However many think that the Buccaneers will go back to Brady if the Rookie struggles at any point in the season as the Buccaneers are designed to win now. They added Super Star Back Kenyan Drake, along with Courtland Sutton in the off-season to help the Rookie along. The Buccaneers narrowly missed the playoffs a year ago, but should get their this year if they don't hit a mid-season swoon like they did last year.

Notable Players:

  • Mike Evans
  • Rob Gronkowski
  • Courtland Sutton
  • Kenyan Drake
  • Devin White
  • Tom Brady

Carolina Panthers 9-7 Headcoach conkQB12

The Carolina Panthers Hired a new coach in the later parts of the season a year ago with Coach conkQB12 taking over the fracnhise. Coahc Conk then began a overhaul of his team opting to bring in Matthew Stafford from the Lions in a trade, and Lavonte David their High Dollar Free agent Pick up. The Panthers even through al that Turmoil were still able to go 9-7 on the season, and should compete for a playoff spot this year. With the games best Dual Purpose Back Christian McCaffrey they have the makings of a match up nightmare that most teams cannot contend with.

Notable Players:

  • Christian McCaffrey
  • D.J. Moore
  • Lavonte David
  • Kawann Short
  • Donte Jackson
  • Matthew Stafford

New Orleans Saints 3-13 Headcoach PantherAlumni74

The New Orleans Saints saw Drew Brees retire at the end of last Season, after struggling through one of their franchises worst records of 3-13. With Michael Thomas, Alvin Kamara, and Cameron Jordan going 3-13 seemed nearly impossible. They did another head scratching move opting for penei Sewell the dominant left tackle from Oregon in place of drafting the heir aparent Trey Lance especially after losing Brees. With Andy Dalton as the Signal caller this season, the Saints must have a long term plan that only they know about.

Notable Players:

  • Michael Thomas
  • Cameron Jordan
  • Alvin Kamara
  • Marshon Lattimore

NFC East:

New York Giants 12-4 Headcoach THE-Kiid-Kenny (Division Winner)

The New York Giants easily won the NFC East behind the Leagues MVP Saquon Barkley. Barkley had nearly 3000 combined yards, and was hands down the Favorite to win it from the start of the season. With the addition of Sammy Watkins, and the further development of Daniel Jones the Giants are expected to have an explosive offense. The loss of Speed at tightend could come back to haunt them however as Evan Engrams speed could not be matched by 90% of the Middle linebackers in the league.

Notable Players:

  • Saquon Barkley
  • Darius Slayton
  • Sammy Watkins

Washington Football Team 5-11 Headcoach Newmoon001

The Washington Football Team as they are now called have built their team from the Defensive line out as Chase Young, and Montez Sweat are both premiere Pass rushers in the league. With a D-Line that has 4 first round draft picks they are a team that has to be acounted for. The Football Team also moved on from Dwayne Haskins as they drafted D'Eriq King a Clone of RGIII which should bode Coach Newmoon001 well. If he Falters however Big Ben Roethlisberger was brought in as a veteran insuarance policy to right the ship.

Notable Players:

  • Chase Young
  • Montez Sweat
  • Terry McLaurin

Dallas Cowboys 3-13 Headcoach Raw_Diaw

The Dallas Cowboys at 3-13 a year ago was head scratching to say the least. With a roster full of talent the Cowboys were expected to make a deep post season run. However lack of faith in Dak Prescott made them trade him to the Detroit Lions, and move up to select Justin Fields out of Ohio State. Fields should give the Cowboys offense another element that could take this team over the top, however it is incumbent on their coach Raw_diaw to get a little more innovative in place of the run on first down, throw it deep on 2nd, and 3rd. If the Cowboys can get it together they could be fighting for a playoff spot at seasons end.

Notable Players:

  • Ezekiel Elliott
  • Noah Fant
  • Amari Cooper
  • CeeDee Lamb
  • Zack Martin
  • Tyron Smith

Philadelphia Eagles 3-13 Headcoach Melblaze3521

The Philadelphia Eagles ended the season with the leagues worst offense at 14ppg. A season of regression by Carson Wentz, and one of the older teams in the league could spell a long road to being competitive this Madden. Coach Melblaze will need to refine his offense, and although he runs hurry up somehow has the slowest offensive system in the league.

Notable Players:

  • Fletcher Cox
  • Jason Kelce
  • Brandon Brooks
  • Carson Wentz

NFASL Madden 21 season II kickoff

The NFASL is Back!  The New Season is upon us, and right now there are 32 teams all feeling like they have, a chance at winning the Next big game. Of course we all know that in the end there is only one team, that gets to hang their banner in the most glorious Hall of Champions!  Last season it was the Green Bay Packers dominating the regular season with a 14-2 recordd, the best in the conference. Their headcoach Deuce4975 hung his first banner in the Hall Of Champions in only his first year in the League! With a team stacked out the box, this could be the first of many for the New Coach. Last season was a blur with the League moving to a 48 hour advancemen, something that I thought I never thought I'd See. However as resistant to change that I am, when something makes sense I don't fight against the rising tide.  The League each season gets better, and better, and this one should be no different.

There were plenty of Changes in the Off-season with Staples of the League Retiring like Drew Brees, or Adrian Peterson. Big Ben Roethlisberger released from the Steelers after leading them to the Super Bowl a year ago, or Tom Brady Relegated to 2nd on the Depth Chart behind rookie from Arkansas Feleipe Franks.

The Off-Season brought about some major changes as well as Dak Prescott was traded to the Detroit Lions in a Mega Deal that saw them move up for spots in the draft to select Ohio States Justin Fields.  The Cowboys were not done as they sent Michael Gallup to the Atlanta Falcons for their 1st round Draft Pick. Patrick Peterson, and Marcus Gilbert were traded to the Chargers for Hunter Henry and Picks. Matthew Ioanidis, and Ryan Kerrigan were both traded to the Bills, The Chargers and the Jaguars were involved in a trade that sent Justin Jackson to the Jaguars, and Andrew Norwell to the Chargers. The Dolphins accumulated pick, after pick then Parlayed that into what many think will be the Dallas Cowboys Offensive line from the 90s. There were many, many more moves that will be touched on later this week, as Team Previews will be released on the website.

The new Season is here, Things are moving full speed ahead, so lets have a good fun season with all 32 members remaining from the start. Of all the things that I want for this league is for each and every member to stay, and enjoy the good, and bad times.

   Packers Send Bears into Hibernation!

Green Bay, WS. Lambeau Field. Rivalry Game! In the NFASL Kick Off Game the Chicago Bears Took on Division Rival the Green Bay Packers as the Packers Received their Banner to be hung into the Hall of Champions for all time! The Packers did not disappoint the home crowd as they started out slow, but crushed the Bears in the end by a score of 49-16. The Chicago Bears had the #1 Draft pick in the League after a tumultous season a year ago, one that saw them go 2-14 on the season. With coach Jady_Tru being a 4 time Super Bowl Winner many were screaming bloody murder as it was apparent that they were tanking for the Golden Boy Trevor Lawrence out of Clemson! The Bears didn't flinch however as when the Draft rolled around they did what many expected and drafted the best Quarterback Prospect since Dan Marino.

In his first Action Lawrence showed why he was drafted #1 overall as for a least a half he went toe to toe with Future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers. Lawrence finished the game with 280yards, on 22/37 passing with 1 touchdown, and 2 ints. Those interceptions were back breaking for the Bears as the Packers converted them both into scores blowing the game open in the 2nd half. Packers corner Back Kevin King accounted for both interceptions, taking one 51 yards for 6. The Bears headcoach didn't do Lawrence any favors as the Bears only rushed 28 yards as Cordarelle Patterson converted WR carried the Ball 6 times for a total of 8 yards. The other 20 Yards were from Lawrence who scrambed twice, for 20 yards.

The Packers were lead by Super Star Quarterback Aaron Rodgers as he was simply incredible throwing for 242 yards, and 4 touchdowns in the win. His Favorite Target was Davante Adams the Leagues most prolific pass catcher a season ago hauled in 6 for 94 Yards, and 2 touchdowns in the win. With Adams running wild in the Bears Secondary, Aaron Jones was able to Gash the Bears on the ground for 121 yards, and 1 touchdown on just 15 carries, 8.1 yards per.

The Bears will take on the Rams in Week 2, and hope not to acquiant Lawrence with Aaron Donald too many times. The Packers will look to make it two in a row as they take on another Division rival the New Look Detroit Lions with arguably one of the best secondaries in the game.

The new season is upon us, every team has a chance to win, and optimism is renewed!  Until next time this has been a Sim Athletics Network Production.

Deuce4975   XXXVII

On October 11th, 2020 the Green Bay Packers won Super Bowl XXXVII on Madden 21 (PS4)! The Coach of the Team was Deuce4975 who won his first Super Bowl, and did it in dominating fashion going 14-2 on the season. Not to mention Coach Deuce4975's first season! The Packers defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 24-22 coached by Hac_3443 playing in his first super Bowl. The MVP was Strong Safety Adrian Amos whos pick 6 was a major role in the Packers win. Congratulations on your Super Bowl Win!

AFC/NFC Race for the playoffs

The league is as week 12, which is a good time to start honing in on the Race to the playoffs in each conferences. Right now the only undefeated team in the league are the New England Patriots sitting at a perfect 10-0. If the Playoffs were to start right now the Patriots would have the only Bye Week, as the league offices in their great wisdom added an extra Wildcard spot making home field advantage just that much more important. It's not every day that the league does something that makes sense, but this is surely one of them. Adding the extra playoff spot gives a ton more teams an opportunity late in the season to keep striving especially in a league of parity. It also forces the teams at the top to keep their foot on the gas so they don't lose their Bye Week, as well as their Coveted Home field advantage.

In the NFC If the Playoffs started today:

  1. West - Seattle Seahawks 8-2
  2. North -  Green Bay Packers 8-2
  3. East - New York Giants 7-3
  4. South - Atlanta Falcons 7-3
  5. Wildcard - Arizona Cardinals 7-3
  6. Wildcard - San Francisco 49ers 7-3
  7. Wildcard - Tampa Bay Buccaneers 7-4

Right now in the NFC the Seattle Seahawks lead the way in the NFC West with a 8-2 record, and would have the Bye, and homefield if the Playoffs started today. It's no wonder as they have Russell Wilson playing at a MVP Caliber, with a sixth sense ability to get the ball to D.K. Metcalf in the Redzone as he is 2nd in the league in receiving Touchdowns with 10. They Seahawks can't rest on their laurels However as the Green Bay Packers are but a mere percentage point behind them. The Packers can easily see a plan how in the next few weeks could see themselves as top dog in the conference, not to mention leading the way in the North. A healthy Aaron Rodgers, a dominant running back in Aaron Jones, and a defense that has Kenny CLark, Za'Darius Smith, and Shutdown corner Jaire Alexander cannot be overlooked. The New York Football Giants are once again on top of the NFC East, handing the ball off to Saquon Barkley at a 70% Clip. Barkley is #1 for the MVP Race, and leads the league in rushing with with 1,620yards, and 21 touchdowns. In the South the Atlanta Falcons are on top with a 7-3 record but it is dangerously close in the South as they are only up 1 game in the Division. The Wildcard spots, are just that. Absolutely Wild. The Arizona Cardinals, and San Francisco 49ers still have designs on the Seahawks spot in the West, as they are only a game back. However if they are unable to catch them, they can't be for certain that their position is safe as they are now. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers, are both 7-4, with the Buccs in possession of the 3rd, and final Wildcard spot. Also the Minnesota Vikings are 6-4, and find themselves in a damn near must win in week 12 as they are paired up against the Carolina Panthers in a game that has huge Playoff ramifications.

In the AFC if the playoffs started today:

  1. East - New England Patriots 10-0
  2. South - Tennessee Titans 8-2
  3. West - Kansas City Chiefs 7-3
  4. North - Pittsburgh Steelers - 7-3
  5. Wildcard - Baltimore Ravens - 6-4
  6. Wildcard - Buffalo Bills 6-4
  7. Wildcard - Los Angeles Chargers - 6-4

The New England Patriots are 10-0, and lead the East, as well as would have Homefield advantage if the playoffs were to begin today. The Patriots are doing it were no one thought they could, however with a Defense that is lockdown, and Sony Michel leading the league in rushing Touchdowns at 21 the Patriots are the most dangerous team in the league. With the Patriots being 10-0 the Tennessee Titans will be playing in Wildcard weekend unless the Patriots hit the equivalent of a landmine. In Years Past the Titans would be prepping for a first round bye, however those days are just that. Gone Past. The Titans lead the south by handing the Ball off to Freight train of a back Derrick "John" Henry, and Defenses are paying the price. In the West Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes are on top with the greatest offense the league has ever seen. With Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, and Mecole Hardman trying to put a cover on this boiling pot is nigh impossible. The Steelers lead the North with an aging Big Ben Roethlisberger. Headcoach Hac3443 would love nothing more than to get his team one more chip before Big Ben Rides off into the Sunset. Good thing he has all the metrics one would need as they have JuJu Smith-Schuster, Cameron Heyward, and a slew of other players all good where you need to be to make a great post-season run.

Just like in the NFC the Wildcard is just that. Wild. Anytime 6 time Hall of Fame participant Tommanowns is in the Wildcard you know it's going to be bananas. Right now 3 teams are tied for the final 3 playoff spots all with 6-4 records. Those teams are the Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, and the Los Angeles Chargers. All 3 teams are expecting a tough way to go down the stretch as seemingly every game will be meaningful. The Bengals are a percentage point out at 6-4, while the Jacksonville Jaguars, Cleveland Browns, are both 5-5. Teams with a punchers chance are the Las Vegas Raiders, and Indianapolis Colts at 4-6
