The NFASL is Back! The New Season is upon us, and right now there are 32 teams all feeling like they have, a chance at winning the Next big game. Of course we all know that in the end there is only one team, that gets to hang their banner in the most glorious Hall of Champions! Last season it was the Green Bay Packers dominating the regular season with a 14-2 recordd, the best in the conference. Their headcoach Deuce4975 hung his first banner in the Hall Of Champions in only his first year in the League! With a team stacked out the box, this could be the first of many for the New Coach. Last season was a blur with the League moving to a 48 hour advancemen, something that I thought I never thought I'd See. However as resistant to change that I am, when something makes sense I don't fight against the rising tide. The League each season gets better, and better, and this one should be no different.
There were plenty of Changes in the Off-season with Staples of the League Retiring like Drew Brees, or Adrian Peterson. Big Ben Roethlisberger released from the Steelers after leading them to the Super Bowl a year ago, or Tom Brady Relegated to 2nd on the Depth Chart behind rookie from Arkansas Feleipe Franks.
The Off-Season brought about some major changes as well as Dak Prescott was traded to the Detroit Lions in a Mega Deal that saw them move up for spots in the draft to select Ohio States Justin Fields. The Cowboys were not done as they sent Michael Gallup to the Atlanta Falcons for their 1st round Draft Pick. Patrick Peterson, and Marcus Gilbert were traded to the Chargers for Hunter Henry and Picks. Matthew Ioanidis, and Ryan Kerrigan were both traded to the Bills, The Chargers and the Jaguars were involved in a trade that sent Justin Jackson to the Jaguars, and Andrew Norwell to the Chargers. The Dolphins accumulated pick, after pick then Parlayed that into what many think will be the Dallas Cowboys Offensive line from the 90s. There were many, many more moves that will be touched on later this week, as Team Previews will be released on the website.
The new Season is here, Things are moving full speed ahead, so lets have a good fun season with all 32 members remaining from the start. Of all the things that I want for this league is for each and every member to stay, and enjoy the good, and bad times.

Packers Send Bears into Hibernation!
Green Bay, WS. Lambeau Field. Rivalry Game!In the NFASL Kick Off Game the Chicago Bears Took on Division Rival the Green Bay Packers as the Packers Received their Banner to be hung into the Hall of Champions for all time! The Packers did not disappoint the home crowd as they started out slow, but crushed the Bears in the end by a score of 49-16. The Chicago Bears had the #1 Draft pick in the League after a tumultous season a year ago, one that saw them go 2-14 on the season. With coach Jady_Tru being a 4 time Super Bowl Winner many were screaming bloody murder as it was apparent that they were tanking for the Golden Boy Trevor Lawrence out of Clemson! The Bears didn't flinch however as when the Draft rolled around they did what many expected and drafted the best Quarterback Prospect since Dan Marino.
In his first Action Lawrence showed why he was drafted #1 overall as for a least a half he went toe to toe with Future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers. Lawrence finished the game with 280yards, on 22/37 passing with 1 touchdown, and 2 ints. Those interceptions were back breaking for the Bears as the Packers converted them both into scores blowing the game open in the 2nd half. Packers corner Back Kevin King accounted for both interceptions, taking one 51 yards for 6. The Bears headcoach didn't do Lawrence any favors as the Bears only rushed 28 yards as Cordarelle Patterson converted WR carried the Ball 6 times for a total of 8 yards. The other 20 Yards were from Lawrence who scrambed twice, for 20 yards.
The Packers were lead by Super Star Quarterback Aaron Rodgers as he was simply incredible throwing for 242 yards, and 4 touchdowns in the win. His Favorite Target was Davante Adams the Leagues most prolific pass catcher a season ago hauled in 6 for 94 Yards, and 2 touchdowns in the win. With Adams running wild in the Bears Secondary, Aaron Jones was able to Gash the Bears on the ground for 121 yards, and 1 touchdown on just 15 carries, 8.1 yards per.
The Bears will take on the Rams in Week 2, and hope not to acquiant Lawrence with Aaron Donald too many times. The Packers will look to make it two in a row as they take on another Division rival the New Look Detroit Lions with arguably one of the best secondaries in the game.
The new season is upon us, every team has a chance to win, and optimism is renewed! Until next time this has been a Sim Athletics Network Production.
