NFASL Match Ups 8-12

The AFC has become a battle ground with 11 teams above .500 and as of right now no true favorite. The New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans, Kansas City Chiefs, all have 6 wins, and are atop their respective Divisions. However they do not have such commanding leads that they can rest on their laurels as every game moving forward is paramount to their post season hopes. As I said with 11 teams above .500 and only 6 playoff spots things are going to get very interesting down the Stretch. There has been a shake up in the AFC also that saw the return of Coach Raw_Diaw who will be taking over the Tennessee Titans for criticalnews2 who will now don the Cap as Cleveland Browns headcoach. These next four games 9-12 will be critical in these teams hunt for the playoffs.

AFC West:

..

Kansas City Chiefs 6-2 (Streak +2)

  2. @ Tennessee Titans -
  3. @ Los Angeles Chargers -
  4. BYE WEEK -

Los Angeles Chargers 5-3 (Streak -3)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. Green Bay Packers - The Chargers will have their first primetime game of the season versus one of the hottest teams in Football Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. The Chargers have lost 3 straight however, with their offense all but abandoning them. 3. Kansas City Chiefs -
  4. BYE WEEK -

Denver Broncos 2-6 (Streak -6)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. Cleveland Browns - The Broncos losing streak is starting to hit all time bad as they're 2-0 start literally seems like a lifetime ago. With the Browns on the schedule the Madden Gods have not been kind when you are trying to get back on track. The Bye Week won't get here fast enough

Oakland Raiders 4-3 (Streak +1)

  2. Los Angeles Chargers -
  3. Cincinatti Bengals -
  4. @ New York Jets -

AFC South:

..

Indianapolis Colts 3-4 (Streak +2)

  • Next Four games -
  1. @ Pittsburgh Steelers - The Colts have started to right the Dumpster fire (The head coaches words, not mine) of a season as they have now won 2 games in  a row. 2. Miami Dolphins -
  3. Jacksonville Jaguars -
  4. @ Houston Texans -

Tennessee Titans 6-2 (Streak +3)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. @ Carolina Panthers - The return of Raw_Diaw should be enough news for this segment however there is still a game to play. With the injury to Derek Henry Marcus Mariotta will be asked to play a bigger role in the Tians offense. They will need to limit the opportunities of Christian McCaffrey, and the high powered Panthers offense
  2. Kansas City Chiefs -
  3. BYE WEEK -
  4. Jacksonville Jaguars -

Houston Texans 1-7 (Streak -2)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. @ Jacksonville Jaguars - Rivalry Game!!!! The Texans will square off against their Division rival as the Jaguars find themselves a game behind the Division leading Titans. The Texans will need to play a little more in control as the Jaguars have one of the better Defenses in the league so cutting down on the turnovers is a priority
  2. BYE WEEK -
  3. @ Baltimore Ravens -
  4. Indianapolis Colts -

Jacksonville Jaguars 5-3 (Streak -1)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. Houston Texans - Rivalry Game!!! The Jaguars are reeling from their week 8 loss as it was the stuff of legends. They will look to take out their anger on the next team up, and lo and behold it's a division rival. The Texans love the long ball so the Jaguars will have to be ready for what is surely to be a track meet
  2. BYE WEEK -
  3. @ Indianapolis Colts -
  4. @ Tennessee Titans -

AFC East:

..

New England Patriots 6-2 (Streak +2)

  • Next Four games -
  1. @ Baltimore Ravens - The New England Patriots will travel to Charm city to take on Lamar Jackson, Mark ingram, and a dominant rushing attack from the Ravens. Tom Brady will look to air it out forcing the Ravens to throw the ball which isn't their strength
  2. BYE WEEK -
  3. @ Philadelphia Eagles -
  4. Dallas Cowboys -

Miami Dolphins 1-6 (Streak -6)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. New York Jets - Rivalry Game!!!! This AFC East match up looks to be one sided as the Dolphins find themselves in the throes of a 6 game losing streak. With LeVeon Bell, and Sam Darnold on deck this game could go bad fast.
  2. @ Indianapolis Colts -
  3. Buffalo Bills -
  4. @ Cleveland Browns -

New York Jets 4-3 (Streak +1)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. @ Miami Dolphins - Rivalry Game!!! The Jets are on clould nine after their thrilling win in week 8. However a rival is up next and traveling to southbeach is always fun if you're on Vacation. However the Jets can ill afford to overlook the Dolphins as they say a wounded animal is the most dangerous one
  2. New York Giants -
  3. @ Washington Redskins -
  4. Oakland Raiders -

Buffalo Bills 4-3 (Streak +4)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. Washington Redskins - The Buffalo Bills have now won 4 games in a row, and will host the Redskins in week 9. The Bills know they need to slow down the Skins fearsome rushing attack first, forcing Rookie D'Wayne Haskins to beat them
  2. @ Cleveland Browns -
  3. @ Miami Dolphins -
  4. Denver Broncos -

The NFC is top heavy with 3 teams in the Division with only 1 loss on their record, and commanding leads in their respective Divisons. The New York Giants, New Orleans Saints, and Green Bay Packers all look to be sure in for the playoffs as it would take monumental collapses from good players in order for them not to make it. The San Francisco 49ers, Washington Redskins, and Atlanta Falcons round out the next rung of teams in the NFC all with 5 wins. With only 7 teams above the .500 Mark the plan to put balance the league might have been too heavy handed. The NFC boasts several teams with 2-0 wins and will be throw off the balance of power if these teams can't get their act together, and fast. The Philadelphia Eagles are winless, and the Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers all have 1 win, with the Cowboys rounding out with 2. That's hard to do as those teams save for the Arizona Cardinals are not devoid of talent, with even the Cardinals having a Super Bowl winning headcoach at the Helm they should be able to do a little more.

NFC North:

.

Green Bay Packers 7-1 (Streak -1)

  • Next Four games -
  1. @ Los Angeles Chargers - The Green Bay Packers will get to take their show on the road, and Primetime no less. After a Meltdown in Week 8 the pressure of a perfect season is now over. Bad news for the Chargers as a refocused Aaron Rodgers could mean this game is but decided
  2. Carolina Panthers -
  3. BYE WEEK -
  4. @ San Francisco 49ers -

Detroit Lions 1-6 (Streak -4)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. @ Oakland Raiders - The Lions will be taking on Derek Carr, and Antonio Brown in their week 9 match up. With the Lions now losers of 4 in a row, and in heartbreaking fashion in week 8, this game has become must win if they want to have any shot at making the postseason
  2. @ Chicago Bears -
  3. Dallas Cowboys -
  4. @ Washington Redskins -

Chicago Bears 3-4 (Streak +1)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. @ Philadelphia Eagles - The Bears are below .500 much to the Football world. However sometime the Gods shine upon you and you find the Eagles on your schedule. This is one of those times as they take on a winless Eagles Squad
  2. Detroit Lions -
  3. @ Los Angeles Rams -
  4. New York Giants -

Minnesota Vikings 4-4 (Streak -1)

  • Next Four Games -

  4. BYE WEEK -

NFC West:

..

Arizona Cardinals 1-7 (Streak -7)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. San Francisco 49ers - Rivalry Game!!! The Cardinals go into their primetime game losers of 7 in a row. A far cry from game one when Coach Dominator stated give me the Trophy now! Stopping the Niners rushing attack is the precursor to winning this game so expect the Safties to live in the box
  2. @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers -
  3. @ San Francisco 49ers -
  4. BYE WEEK -

Seattle Seahawks 1-7 (Streak -4)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Wide left was the Mantra last week as the Seahawks missed a game winning Field Goal dropping their record to 1-7. The 12th man is eager to cheer so winning this game at home against a 1 win buccnaers team is a must
  2. @ San Francisco 49ers -
  3. BYE WEEK -
  4. @ Philadelphia Eagles -

San Francisco 49ers 5-2 (Streak +1)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. @ Arizona Cardinals - Rivalry Game!!! the one weapon the Niners thought they would have to contend with is now injured, as a snake bitten franchise just got hit by a black Mamba. Kyler Murray is out, so expect a long day for the Cardinals trying to wrangle up Tevin Coleman
  2. Seattle Seahawks -
  3. Arizona Cardinals -
  4. Green Bay Packers -

Los Angeles Rams 4-4 (Streak +1)

Carolina Panthers 4-3 (Streak -1)

  • Next Four Games -

  2. @ Green Bay Packers -
  3. Atlanta Falcons -
  4. @ New Orleans Saints -

Atlanta Falcons 5-3 (Streak +4)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. BYE WEEK -

  4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers -

New Orleans Saints 7-1 (Streak +3)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. BYE WEEK -
  2. Atlanta Falcons -
  3. @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers -
  4. Carolina Panthers -

NFC East:

..

The Dallas Cowboys 2-5 (Streak +1)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. @ New York Giants - Rivalry Game!!! The  Dallas Cowboys Season is slip, slip, sliding away. Winning this game is absolutely paramount to turning it around. The Giants will be playing without Saquon Barkley so Doubling Evan Engram is a absolute must
  2. Minnesota Vikings -
  3. @ Detroit Lions -
  4. @ New England Patriots -

Washington Redskins 5-3 (Streak +3)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. @ Buffalo Bills - Traveling to Buffalo is never easy, as the Bills are on a 4 game win streak and will be looking to keep things going. The change has been the big right arm of Josh Allen so the Redskins will have to play perfect coverage to win
  2. BYE WEEK -
  3. New York Jets -
  4. Detroit Lions -

New York Giants 7-1 (Streak +3)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. Dallas Cowboys -  Rivalry Game!!!! with the 2 win Cowboys coming to the big apple the Giants feel as though this one might be in the bag. However without Saquon the Giants will be a lot easier to gameplan for which should give the Cowboys a distinct advantage.
  2. @ New York Jets -
  3. BYE WEEK -
  4. @ Chicago Bears -

Philadelphia Eagles 0-8 (Streak -8)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. Chicago Bears - The Eagles are just trying to get a win as 0-8 with arguably the best personell in the league is mind boggling. They lost by 14 last week to the Bills, however there was a lot of positives in that game. Look for them to try to build on those things and pressure Mitchell Trubisky into turnovers, and limit their own.
  2. BYE WEEK -
  3. New England Patriots -
  4. Seattle Seahawks -
NFASL Mid Season Report

ESPN Breaking News Kaliko_420 will be giving 1 Million Mut Coins to the Season 1 Winner of the NFASL!

On this edition of ESPNEWS It's Week 8, the 1/2 mark of the Season and it's time to look at what's going on in the NFASL. With Major changes this year to personell, and major moves in terms of coaches going from one team to another things could not be more interesting. The New owners are making a mark (Yell_2, & BigmoneyNick_), and some are just trying to keep their head above water (MrRay718, K_BeeX, &Palmerjr2). New Faces, in New Places like Antonio Brown 33 recs, 997yds, & 12tds, or Nick Foles 2204yds, 23tds, 63% Completion, & 115.7 QBR, & the Leagues leading rusher Kareem Hunt 147carries, 1186 ydards, & 6tds.

At the Half way point teams are starting to separate themselves with a few teams showing they are the creme of the Crop. Some of those teams are of course the Defending Super Bowl Champions New Orleans Saints, who at 7-1 looks like that franchise will be a load to handle for years to come. The Green Bay Packers, New York Giants, Cleveland Browns, The New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs, jacksonville Jaguars Just to name a few. Of course for every  yin, there is a Yang as there are more than a few bottom feeders who are still trying to figure things out. The Some of those teams are the Arizona Cardinals, Detroit Lions, Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos, Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins, and the The Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Winless and pretty much hopeless at least for this season are of course the Philadelphia Eagles who I picked to win 7 games this season..... These Teams will have to get into the War Room and work on their draft boards, and Free agency to make sure they don't have a season like this again in the future!

Lets take a look at the Conferences in the NFASL, and see how things are shaking out.

American Football Conference

 AFC North

  • Baltimore Ravens 5-2
  • Cleveland Browns 5-2
  • Pittsburgh Steelers 3-3
  • Cincinatti Bengals 3-5

AFC South

  • Jacksonville Jaguars 5-2
  • Tennessee Titans 5-2
  • Indianapolis Colts 3-4
  • Houston Texans 1-7

AFC East

  • New England Patriots 6-2
  • New York Jets 3-3
  • Buffalo Bills 3-3
  • Miami Dolphins 1-5

AFC West

  • Kansas City Chiefs 6-2
  • Los Angeles Chargers 5-3
  • Oakland Raiders 4-3
  • Denver Broncos 2-6

In the AFC Things are shaping up nicely with night tight races in pretty much every division. you still have the Top Dogs, however like in seasons pasts the top dogs bark is a lot worse than their bite. In the North the Ravens are on top with a strong run game anchored by Lamar Jackson, and a solid Defense a 5th Banner hanging in the Hall of Champions could be the result. The Browns are a mere % point behind them and without question has the most talent. However will he be able to put it all together. The Steelers, and Bengals have 3 wins apiece, and still find themselves in the thick of things.

In the South the Jaguars behind Nick Foles find themselves atop the Division, and have the leagues #1 total team in yards! Dangerous combo for a team that had everything but a QB, now they have a one. Their closest rival in the Division is criticalnews2, and the Tennessee Titans who have won 5 of their last 6 games. The Colts at 3-4, has dubbed this season a dumpster fire, but it's still early, and at 3-4 are in the thick of things.

In the East The Patriots are the running away with it with a 3 game lead over their next two closest competitors in the Bills, and Jets both at 3-3. They will need to string some wins together if they want to Catch Tom Brady.

Finally the West looks as though it will be a dog fight all the way to week 17, and beyond. The Chiefs are on top as of now at 6-2, with the Chargers behind them at 5-3, however the Chargers are fading fast losing 3 in a row. The Raiders are a up and down team, but can score with the best of them on, and on any given Sunday look like the best team in the NFL.

National Football Conference

NFC South

  • New Orleans Saints 7-1
  • Atlanta Falcons 5-3
  • Carolina Panthers 4-3
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers 1-5

NFC North

  • Green Bay Packers 7-1
  • Minnesota Vikings 4-3
  • Chicago Bears 3-4
  • Detroit Lions 1-5

NFC East

  • New York Giants 6-1
  • Washington Redskins 4-3
  • Dallas Cowboys 2-5
  • Philadelphia Eagles 0-7

NFC West

  • San Francisco 49ers 5-2
  • Los Angeles Rams 4-4
  • Seattle Seahawks 1-7
  • Arizona Cardinals 1-7

In the NFC this conference is home of the Defending Super Champions the New Orleans Saints, and they look like they are apt to win it again. The Saints have jumped out to a 7-1 start and already find themselves with a 2 game lead in the Division. The Falcons with their Old/New headcoach KingofCaesars are their closest competitor. The Falcons are doing what is necessary as they have strung 4 wins in a row, and are one of the hottest teams in the league. The Panthers at 4-3 are right their, but their last outing they showed rather poorly.

In the North much like the South Aaron Rodgers and the Packers are on top with a 7-1 record. The Packers are quietly putting forth a defensive season that could rank as one of the all time best. They are also scoring 40+ points per game which makes that right hook, left hook combo lethal. The Vikings find themselves 3 games behind the Packers, and know that winning is the only cure. The surprise of the division has been 4 time Super Bowl Champion Jady_Tru who find themselves at 3-4, but forever optimistic saying that they can still make a run.

The East is lead once again by the Giants, and it pains me to write this but shooter find 3 plays masters them, and runs over the entire division to include the author of this article. The Giants are 6-1 with one of the lowest rated teams on the game. Cheetos, and Mountain dew must be PEDS! The Redskins have a young core, so no excuses at 4-3 winning the division is a must and anything else is uncivilizied. The Cowboys are 2-5, and the Eagles are winless to round out the Division. Two of the best teams personell wise in the league....

Finally we get to the West, where the San Francisco 49ers are running away with the Division excuse the Pun as Tevin Coleman has broke the single Game rushing record twice this season already. The Rams are danger close however at 4-4 and could be atop the Division when the season ends. The Rams offense is tops in several categories, and look to only be getting better. The Cardinals, and Seahawks are 2-14 and have already started making vacation plans.

Team Statistics: In the NFL the teams with the best stats normally have the best seasons. This year is no different. It takes every aspect of a team to win games, and while you can have one do well and not the other  over a full season it will show and prove in your final win loss record. So far the tops in the league are those we are about to show here. Let's take a look.

Total Offensive 3666           Total Rush Yards 1359              Total Pass Yards 2660

Total Defensive yards 1729        Total Defensive Sacks 41                  Total Defensive ints 24

NFASL Match ups 4-8

The AFC is rounding out with the expected teams taking center stage, and a few suprise teams stepping up to take a leadership role. In the first four games of the season only the Los Angeles Chargers were able to come out unscathed. The Chargers are 4-0, and will look to carry that over into their next 4 games. The other teams of note are the Titans, Jaguars, Browns, Patriots, and Chiefs which are all 3-1. The next batch of games will be a determing factor for a lot of these teams as we approach the half way portion of the league. The teams on the lower end of the spectrum such as the Bills, Dolphins, Jets, Colts, and Texans all have 1 win with the exception of the Texans which is 0-3 presently but still looking for the outcome of week 4. They cannot afford to fall to far behind, or it will take a monumental effort to make the playoffs.

*JD's Sportsbook Predictions in Parentheses*

AFC North:

.

Baltimore Ravens 5-2 (Streak +2)

  • Next Four games -
  1. @ Pittsburgh Steelers - (Ravens -3) Rivalry Game!!! The Ravens are coming off a huge win over the Browns in week 4, and will look to carry that over into this Divisional game. The Steelers are 2-2 as well so this game could carry huge meaning down the stretch.
  2. Cincinatti Bengals - Rivalry Game!! This AFC North Match up will be won in the trenches as both teams are coming off of huge week 5 wins. The Ravens will look toward their defense which has carried the day in the last few games
  3. @ Seattle Seahawks - The Ravens are coming off a 30-19 win over the Bengals in week 6, behind a smothering defensive performance. They will look to bottle up Russell Wilson, however the 12th man will be in full throat.
  4. Bye Week -

Cincinnati Bengals 3-3 (Streak -1)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. Arizona Cardinals (Bengals -9)  A 7 point loss for the Bengals to the Steelers a week ago still sticks in the craw of the Bengals head coach bgreat238. They will take on the Cardinals who have come to look like the worst team in the league, so winning this game has become an absolute must.                           .
  2. @ Baltimore Ravens - Rivalry Game!! The Bengals were clicking on all cylinders as they blew the doors off the Cardinals in week 5 and will be looking for that same effort in this rivalry game.
  3. Jacksonville Jaguars - The Bengals are licking their wounds after a poor performance a week ago, but at 3-3 they are still very much in the thick of things. Andy Dalton will look to bounce back after a 4 interception performance
  4. @ Los Angeles Rams - At the time of this article the Bengals still need to play their Week 7 game vs the Jaguars. They will travel to Los Angeles to take on the Rams who are in the Midst of their own slide as they have lost two in a row. The Rams high Powered offense is clicking, however they have not been able to stop anyone. If the Bengals win this one it will be in a shootout.

Cleveland Browns 5-1 (Streak +2)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. @ San Francisco 49ers (Browns +6).Rivalry Game!!!! This game has easily been dubbed Game of the Week as these two teams will square off in primetime. The Browns have pretty much an allstar team, and the Niners will like to know if they can even compete                                                    .
  2. Seattle Seahawks - The Browns will be looking to avoid a let down game after their big win in primetime week 5. They will be taking on a Seattle Team that feels they were robbed so expect maximum effort!
  3. Bye Week
  4. @ New England Patriots -  The Browns are fresh off a bye week, and will be looking to Get back on the field. it will be old School versus New School as Baker Mayfield will get a chance to See Tom Brady up close, and personal

Pittsburgh Steelers 3-3 (Streak +1)

  • Next Four Games -
  1.  Baltmore Ravens (Steelers +6) .Rivalry Game!!!!  This AFC North Match up will see the Steelers take on their bitter rivals Tommanowns, and the Baltimore Ravens. Both teams are coming off wins, and both teams have identical records. Look for this one to to be played with a little animosity .
  2. @ Los Angeles Chargers - The Steelers will have their hands full with this Chargers team who come into the game undefeated. The Steelers looked ordinary in week 5, and know they need to play better if they expect to win before their bye week
  3. Bye Week
  4. Miami Dolphins - The Steelers used their bye week to come up with a plan for these Dolphins who are trending in the wrong direction. With the Division being close as it is, they can ill afford to let the Dolphins get any confidence in this game.

AFC West:

..

Kansas City Chiefs 4-2 (Streak +1)

  • Next Four games -
  1. Indianapolis Colts (Chiefs -5) The Chiefs have come to life which is bad news for the rest of the league as their offensive firepower is literally second to none. They will be looking to go full speed ahead in this match up between the comeback player of the year a year ago, Andrew Luck, and the Lgs MVP in Patty Mahomes  .
  2. Houston Texans - The Chiefs are starting to look, well like the Chiefs after a slow start to the season. They will take on a 0-5 Texans team who are better than their record would indicate.
  3. @ Denver Broncos - Rivalry Game!!! unfortunately the Broncos head coach is on vacation so most likely this game will not be played
  4. Green Bay Packers - The Chiefs were able to get a Free win with the Broncos headoach on vacation, however this week he will have to earn it. The undefeated Green Bay Packers are on the Horizon and they look like a Super Bowl Contender. Mahomes, Vs Rogers, enough Said!

Los Angeles Chargers 5-2 (Streak -2)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. Denver Broncos (Chargers -8). Rivalry Game!!!! The Chargers are the only undefeated team in the AFC with a perfect 4-0 record. They will look to continue that good fortune as they will welcome in the Denver Broncos.
  2. Pittsburgh Steelers - The Chargers are looking to stay unblemished as they welcome the Steelers for a week 6 Match up the Steelers offense has abandoned them so look for the Chargers to turn up the pressure.
  3. @ Tennessee Titans - The Chargers fell from the ranks of the undefeated losing to the Steelers in week 6. Philip Rivers looked his age only throwing for 98 yards in the loss. They will travel to Tennessee to take on a Titans team that looks resurgent
  4. @ Chicago Bears - The Chargers are headed in the wrong direction as their 5-0 start, has now become 5-2. They will look to stop the bleeding, however they play a desperate Bears Team who is in a Swoon themselves

Denver Broncos 2-4 (Streak -4)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. @ Los Angeles Chargers (Broncos +8) Rivalry Game!!!! The Denver Broncos have dropped two in a row with their second being in glorious fashion on primetime giving up close to 75 points in the loss. For a door prize they get division rival, and undefeated Los Angeles Chargers in week 5  .
  2. Tennessee Titans - The Broncos are in full panic mode as they dropped three games in a row, and will be looking to get back on track against the Titans. The Mile High Faithful will be looking for a win so expect maximum effort
  3. Kansas City Chiefs - Rivalry Game!!! This AFC West match up would have been a good one however this game is scheduled to be given to the Chiefs as the Broncos head coach is out of town
  4. @ Indianapolis Colts - The Broncos head coach is on vacation, and while he is the season is slip, sliding away. If he can get back in time to play this game they will be paired up against a struggling Colts team

Oakland Raiders 3-3 (Streak -1)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. Chicago Bears (Raiders +4) . The Raiders tied up their record winning two in a row, but will now have their toughest test of the season as they welcome in Khalil Mack their former player and the Chicago Bears.
  2. Bye Week
  3. @ Green Bay Packers - Fresh off a bye week, and the undefeated Packers are waiting for you. Good thing the Raiders had two weeks to prepare. not turning the ball over will be key if the Raiders want to win
  4. @ Houston Texans -  The Wheels were blown off the Raiders a week ago, leaving them looking for answers. The Texans will be studying the Game film to see what the Packers did to slow them down, and hope they can emulate it

AFC South:

..

Indianapolis Colts 1-4 (Streak -2)

  • Next Four games -
  1. @ Kansas City Chiefs (Colts +5) The Colts are officially reeling as they drop to 1-3, and now look at a 0-4 possibility with the High Powered Kansas City Chiefs on the schedule. The Colts run game will need to get cranked up to keep the ball out of the hands of Pat Mahomes   .
  2. Bye Week
  3. Houston Texans - Rivalry Game!!! This AFC South Match up will pit two teams going in opposite directions. The Texans got their first win a week ago, and the Colts are falling apart. A early season bye week might just have been what the doctor ordered
  4. Denver Broncos -  The Colts Still need to play their games at the start of week 7, so this game vs Denver could be a must win, or another step in the right direction. The Broncos are fading fast, so no matter what happens the Colts should be the favorite

Tennessee Titans 5-2 (Streak +2)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. Buffalo Bills (Titans -12) The Titans are coming off a blowout win over the Falcons in week 4, and will look to garner another one as they will be taking on the 1 win Buffalo Bills in week 5. Look for Marcus Mariota to continue his hot streak in this match up .
  2. @ Denver Broncos - The Titans went down to the Bills in Week 5, and will be looking to give a better effort against the Broncos who have lost 3 in a row.
  3. Los Angeles Chargers - The Titans are now in first place tied with the Jaguars in the South. They will look to keep the momentum going as they welcome in the Chargers
  4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers -   The Titans have officially kicked it into Gear as they have now won two in a row. Their Defense has also stepped up holding the Chargers to 7 points in week 7's win. Next on the menu will be the 1 win Buccaneers, however they're a dangerous team that cannot be overlooked

Houston Texans 1-5 (Streak +1)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. Atlanta Falcons (Texans -2) Not many thought that the Texans would start the season at 0-3 possibly 0-4 as we are still awaiting the outcome of his week 5 game at the time of this article. They will be taking on the Atlanta Falcons who need a win just as much as they do  .
  2. @ Kansas City Chiefs - the Texans are in danger of dropping to 0-6, and falling completely out of the playoffs race. Waiting for them in week 6 are the Chiefs clicking on all cylinders as of late
  3. @ Indianapolis Colts - Rivalry Game!!!! Part II of the Colts vs Texans. DeShaun Watsons break sack, scramble, throw game winning Touchdown is the stuff super Runs are built on. Lets see if it carries over in this game
  4. Oakland Raiders -  At the Time of this article the Texans still need to play their week 7 game. Two of the best receivers in the game will be on the field this week as De'Andre Hopkins will be on the field with Antonio Brown. This could easily turn into a who can do it better contest, disguised around a football game. Look for this to be a shootout

Jacksonville Jaguars 4-2 (Streak -1)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. @ Carolina Panthers (Jags -2) The Jaguars announced themselves to the rest of the league with a blowout win on primetime one in which saw Super Bowl Winning Quarterback Nick Foles throw countem, 6 tds in the win. The Panthers are on deck, and the possibility of a 4-1 start is music to the ears of every Jaguar fan.
  2. New Orleans Saints - The Jaguars have called out the Saints, and sometimes Madden Gods give you exactly what you ask for.
  3. @ Cincinatti Bengals - The Jaguars are reeling after a 4th quarter collapse to the Saints in week 6, and will try to not let it boil over to this game vs the Bengals.
  4. New York Jets - At the time of this article the Jaguars still need to play their week 7 game. The Jaguars will welcome the New York Jets to the sunny state of Florida, and send them home with what they hope is a L.

AFC East:

..

New England Patriots 5-2 (Streak +1)

  • Next Four games -
  1. @ Washington Redskins (Pats -3) Tom Brady, and the Patriots will be visiting Donald Trumps White House, and viewing all the attractions in the Nations Capitol. O, and BTW they will take on a Redskins team while they're there.
  2. New York Giants - GOTW this game is set for primetime as Eli Manning, and Saquon Barkley will get to see Tom Brady and the Patriots up close and personal.
  3. @ New York Jets - Rivalry Game!!! After throwing up all over themselves in primetime the Patriots will stay in New York to take on the Jets. This New York Metropolitan area has not been kind to Tom Brady, lets see if he can shake that habit
  4. Cleveland Browns - This could very well be GOTW as of right now this game leads in voting by 1. The Smack talk has already begun, and both teams are looking like contenders giving this game a whole other level of meaning.

Miami Dolphins 1-5 (Streak -5)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. Bye Week -
  2. Washington Redskins - the Dolphins are fresh off a bye week, and have had two weeks to plan for the Washington Redskins. Look for the Dolphins to focus on slowing down Derrius Guice and the Redskins Potent rushing attack
  3. @ Buffalo Bills - Rivalry Game!!!! it's rivalry Week in the East as every team is squared off. The Dolphins will pit Josh Rosh, Vs Josh Allen in a match up of Two Josh's....
  4. @ Pittsburgh Steelers - with he Dolphins losing streak hitting 5 games this has certainly become must win for these Dolphins. a winning culture starts with every win. The Dolphins also need to do something at QB with both Ryan Fitzmagic, and Josh Rosen trading snaps last week this could get ugly

New York Jets 3-3 (Streak -1)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. @ Philadelphia Eagles (Jets -15) There's an old saying that goes best way to get over a girlfriend, is to get underneath a new one. i'm saying the best way to get over a 1-2 start is to have Melblaze on the schedule...... .
  2. Dallas Cowboys - The Jets got back on track with a win over the hapless Eagles. This next game however is agains the highly talented Cowboys. The Jets will need to take care of the ball if they expect to have a chance
  3. New England Patriots - Rivalry Game!!! Part II Sam Darnold will get a chance to stare down Tom Brady and the Patriots as he is looking to cement himself as a young up and coming QB. winning these games are a step in the right direction
  4. @ Jacksonville Jaguars - The Jets are still in the mix in the AFC East, and many thought they had a good chance to win it, quite frankly they still do. However they will need to start winning, and this week the Jaguars will be standing in their way. Another 4 interception perfomance by Sam Darnold, and the Dolphins may not be the only team with a QB controversy

Buffalo Bills 3-3 (Streak +3)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. @ Tennessee Titans (Bills +12) The Buffalo Bills got off the snide with a much needed win over the Patriots in week 4, and will look to carry that momentum over this week as they take on criticalnews and the Titans. The Bills can ill afford to fall to 1-4 so this has become a must win .
  2. Bye Week
  3. Miami Dolphins - Rivalry Game!!! Part II The Bills are fresh off a bye week, and will look to even up their record as they have now won 2 in a row. Making it 3 will put them right back in the swing of things in the East
  4. Philadelphia Eagles - Three wins in a row for the Bills and the Eagles on the Horizon.  Trying not to overlook them will be their toughest test
  1.

The NFC will be the focus as we look at the first 4 games of each team in the NFC divisions. With only a 16 game regular season every game matters and the first quarter of the season is just as important as the last. Lets look at some teams that have started out hot, teams that have startedslow and some teams that are right in the middle.

NFC North:

.

Green Bay Packers 7-0 (Streak +7)

  • Next Four games -
  1. @ Dallas Cowboys - (Packers -12)  Packers look to take their high flying offense into Big D this week. With their offense scoring a ridiculous 44 ppg and their defense averaging 5 takeaways a game its not hard to see why they are favored by 12 on the road.
  2. Detroit Lions - Rivalry Game! The Green Bay Packers are the remaining undefeated team in the NFL behind the right arm of Aaron Rodgers. This week they take on their Division rival the Lions, and with a win here the Packers would have a early vice grip on the Division
  3. Oakland Raiders - The Packers will welcome Antonio Brown, and the Ravens Offense to Lambeau as they will look to keep things rolling at 6-0 Expect a shootout, as the Raiders are a pass first, ask questions later type of team
  4. @ Kansas city Chiefs - Two mvp qbs meet at Aarowhead this week as Aaron Rodgers and Pat Maholmes face off for the 1st time. Packers key to winnig this season has been simple take the ball way and don't turn it over. As good of a season as Maholmes is having he has had some intrception issues this season which plays into the packers hands. The matchup to watch is Chief's run defense vs Packers top 10 run offense.

Detroit Lions 1-5 (Streak -3)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. Bye Week
  2. @ Green Bay Packers - Rivalry Game!! the Lions are coming off a much needed bye week to get their legs underneath after a rough start to the season. They will take on their North Rival in the Packers so winning here is imperative to turning the season around
  3. Minnesota Vikings - Rivalry Game!!!! This NFC North Match up should be a good one as the Lions take on the Vikings. Defense need not apply as the both these teams give up 30+ a game
  4. New York Giants - Lions have been competitive in the last 2 games but haven't been able to come away with the win. They host the Giants this week and will look to end their 3 game slide. As bad as the season has been going for the Lions they are only 2 games out of the wildcard .

Chicago Bears 2-4 (Streak -2)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. @ Oakland Raiders - (Bears -4) Da Bears squeezed out a close one last week in a divisional game against the Vikings. The defense has been leading the way for Da Bears this season but the offense hasn't got on the train. Their 3rd down percentage is at 32% while their redzone percentage is 62% these are horrific numbers and not gonna get Da Bears very far.
  2. Bye Week -
  3. New Orleans Saints - Prime Time Game!!!! GOTW 7!!! The Bears will be looking to even up their record at .500 and if they do they will have earned it as they take on a dangerous Saints team in their Building. Slowing down Alvin Kamara, and Michael Thomas will be the first things to do. Look for Khalil Mack to be a disruptive force all game
  4. Los Angeles Chargers - The Bears are on a 2 game slide and their season is sliding away if they don't put together some wins. It won't be easy this week as they go against the best defense in the league. If they want to win they are going to have to limit the turnovers especially in the redzone.

Minnesota Vikings 4-3 (Streak +3)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. @ New York Giants - ( Vikings +15) Vikings are walking into buzzsaw as the Giants have a 71 point differential this season. If the Vikings have any chance they need to do two things: Heavy dose of Dalvin Cook and convert in the redzone. They are 39% in the redzone this season which will not win you games especially on the road.
  2. Philadelphia Eagles - The Vikings played like a Team possessed a week ago scoring 61 points against the Giants, and will look for that same action this week against the winless Eagles.
  3. @ Detroit Lions - Rivalry Game!!! Part II With both these teams giving up 30 a game look for explosive offense in mulitple portions of the field. Kirk Cousins and his full onslaught of Talented receivers should have a field day
  4. Washington Redskins - The Vikings are rolling right now as they have won 3 straight games. This week they host Washington as this one should be a slugfest against 2 good defenses. With a close playoff race in the NFC this game could mean a lot at the end so expect an intense atmosphere.

NFC West:

..

Arizona Cardinals 1-6 (Streak -6)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. @Cincinanati Bengals - (Cardinals +9) This is do or die for the Cardinals as they go on the road 3 of the next 4 games. Already at 1-3 they are going to pull out everything in the bag to have a chance of coming out of this stretch alive. And to keep their number 1 pick alive the oline is going to have to start blocking for Murray who has already been sacked 30 times.
  2. Atlanta Falcons -  The Cardinals will take on coach Caesars and the Falcons in week 6, which will be a tough Match up for Kyler Murray and the Cardinals as the Falcons are one of the faster teams in the League
  3. @ New York Giants - The Cardinals offense kicked into overdrive a week ago, but their defense was non existent. They will look to slow down SaQuon Barkley and the Giants in week 7
  4. @ New Orleans Saints - The Cardinals look to just keep building their young core going foward especially number 1 pick Kylar Murray as this season didn't have many expectations.

Seattle Seahawks 1-6 (Streak -3)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. Los Angeles Rams - ( Seahawks -2) This is basically a playoff game for Seattle as dropping to 1-4 with the Browns and Ravens coming up could end any hope of contention rather early. Seattle will need to rely their stud RB Chris Carson and the best home crowd in football. A heavy dose of Chris Carson and ball control offense could be the best defense vs the best offenses in the league.
  2. @ Cleveland Browns - The Seahawks at 1-4 have started the season in a way they did not want to. They will be looking to get things going in the right direction versus a very talented Browns team
  3. Baltimore Ravens - At 1-5 the Seahawks can see their season slipping away with one of the more talented teams in the league their are no excuses. They will have to limit turnovers, and bottle up Lamar Jackson in this weeks match up against the Ravens
  4. @ Atlanta Falcons - If a couple things bounced the Seahawks way they could this season could look a lot diffrent right now but thats the nature of the NFL. It would take a lot for them to get in the mix for a playoff bid but still expect them to compete.

San Francisco 49ers 4-2(Streak -1)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. Cleveland Browns - (49ers -6) 49ers have been salivating during the bye week to get to this game. After three wins to start the season this is their biggest test so far. This game will be won in the trenches. The 49ers are only giving up 89.0 rushing yards per game while the Browns average 156 yards led by controversial offseason pickup Kareem Hunt. This is going to be a straight dawg fight.
  2. @ Los Angeles Rams - Rivalry Game!!! This NFC West match up will be played like a playoff game as these two teams have bitter history. Look for Jimmy G, and the Niners to bring their best efforts on the road
  3. @ Washington Redskins - The Niners will travel to the Nations Capitol to take on Rookie Dwayne Haskins and the Washington Redskins. The Niners will lean heavily on their run game that has been breaking records all season
  4. Carolina Panthers - The 49ers are coming off an ugly loss vs Washington. Every team has bumbs in the road but the good teams respond and this will be a test for the 49ers. Their defense will have it hands full with Cam Newton and the Panthers.

Los Angeles Rams 3-3 (Streak -2)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. @ Seattle Seahawks - (Rams +2) This is not do or die for the Rams but it is much better to be over .500 than be under it. They are going to have to match the desperation from the 1-3 Seahawks but with the last ranked defense in points allowed and 31st in yards allowed the Rams can't be trusted on the road. Defense wins on the road.
  2. San Francisco 49ers - Rivalry Game!!! The Rams are looking to be a rude host as they welcome in their Division rival the Niners. The Niners are coming off a primetime loss to the Browns, and will be looking not to make it two in a row.
  3. @ Atlanta Falcons - The Rams at 3-3 cannot be thought of more than anything other than a disappointment. Their Defense has all but abandoned them as they are giving up 40ppg. Traveling to Atlanta to contend with Julio Jones whilst giving up 40 is a recipe for disaster
  4. Cincinatti Bengals -

AFC South:

..

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 1-5 (Streak -1)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. @ New Orleans Saints - (Buccs +18) Usually I would advise to stay away from big point spreads especially in the NFL where anything can happen but the key word here is usually. With the Buccs giving up 38 ppg and it being a road game this can get ugly. On the other hand if Jameis wants the big dollars this offseason this is a game that balling out could go a long way along with a few Hail Marys or whichever prayer you believe in.
  2. Carolina Panthers - Rivalry Game!!! This NFC South Match up will pit two members from the summer league in their first action in the NFASL. The Buccaneers are coming off a signature win a week ago, and just may have found a winning formula
  3. Bye Week
  4. @ Tennessee Titans -

Carolina Panthers 4-2 (Streak +1)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. Jacksonville Jaguars - (Panthers +2) This is pretty much a pickem game as these two teams aren't very familiar with each other which can make for a nailbiter. The Panthers look to make the Jags a one dimensional team as they have been stingy againt the run this year. Cam Newton is completing 75% of his passes and spreading the ball around to his wrs. If the Panthers are smart they will try to take advantage of the Jags 29th ranked run denfense this week with a heavy dose of McCaffrey.
  2. @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Rivalry Game!!!! The Panthers will be looking to get back on the winning side of things after a bad defeat at the hands of the Jaguars in week 5. They will be taking on a Buccs team that has just come off a huge win, and will be playing with loads of confidence
  3. Bye Week
  4. @ San Francisco 49ers -

Atlanta Falcons 3-3 (Streak +3)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. @ Houston Texans - (Falcons +2) The Falcons are searching for an identity as they haven't exceled on offense or defense so far which for such a talented team is dissappointing. This would be a good week to start finding some answers as they travel to Houston. Being 2-3 keeps you very much alive in the playoff hunt.
  2. @ Arizona Cardinals - The Return of Caesar saw 51 points and a blowout win versus the Texans. He will be looking to make it 2 in a row as they take on Kyler Murray and the Cardinals
  3. Los Angeles Rams - The Difference a coach makes as the Falcons were languishing under the tutelage of MrRay. enter Coach KingofCaesars and two wins in a row, and a chance to make it 3 should give them just the shot in the arm they need to defeat the Rams
  4. Seattle Seahawks -

New Orleans Saints 5-1 (Streak +2)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - (Saints -18) The Saints have been dominant all season and it doesn't seem like it will stop here. They are going against a Buccs team that has not been able to figure it out and the answers probably won't be in Superdome with Who Dat Nation causing all kinds of commotion.
  2. @ Jacksonville Jaguars - The Saints took a L in week 5, and were none too pleased about it. They will look to get that bad feeling out of the pits of their stomachs as they take on a highly talented, and Dangerous Jags team
  3. @ Chicago Bears - Prime Time Game!! GOTW 7!! This Match up will be won in the trenches as both these teams come in with Talent on both sides of the Ball. The Saints will be looking to rely on Drew Brees, and should have the advantage at Quarterback over Mitchell Trubisky
  4. Arizona Cardinals -

NFC East:

..

The Dallas Cowboys 1-5 (Streak -3)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. Green Bay Packers - (Cowboys +12) The most dissapointing team for the 1st quarter of the season was the Dallas Cowboys. They should be insulted to be underdogs by 12 at home agaisnt anybody but they just haven't shown they have it figured out yet. This could be the week as a win here could get them going on the right path. One of the biggest storylines this week is who will be the QB going foward with Cody Kessler throwing for 345 yds and 3 tds last week. My money would be that he gets the nod this week.
  2. @ New York Jets - The Dallas Cowboys have a new coach, but the same ol Results as they drop to 1-4 as they lost a week ago to the Green Bay Packers. Look for the Cowboys Coach to lean on a heavy dose of Ezekiel Elliott, and one of the leagues best Defenses
  3. Philadelphia Eagles - Rivalry Game!!! This NFC Beast Match up is one that many thought would carry meaning before the Season began as the Cowbos, and Eagles have a collection of Talent that cannot be denied.
  4. Bye Week

Washington Redskins 3-3 (Streak +2)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. New England Patriots - (Washington +3) Washington will need to carry that top 5 pass defense into this week as they host the never aging Tom Brady. Washington plays a style that could give the Pats problems as they are about ball control and defense. That formula will give you a chance most of the time. This is my upset pick of the week.
  2. @ Miami Dolphins - The Washington Redskins have lost in back to back weeks on the games final drives, and coach Moon is looking for a win by any means. a 2-4 start would put a damper on a once promising season
  3. San Francisco 49ers - The Redskins pulled out a victory scoring 14 unanswered points in the 4th qtr in their week 6 win, and will look for a similar outcome in this one as they take on a Niners team that has only lost 1 game. Slowing down the Niners rush attack is the first thing, that has to be done
  4. @ Minnesota Vikings -

New York Giants 5-1 (Streak +2)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. Minnesota Vikings - (-15) Unless an upset happens the Giants have a good chance of keeping their undefeated record in tact. Eli Manning has never looked better and as he has done many times in his career he led the Giants on game winning drive capped off by Saquon Barkley as the clock hit 0. Only concern here for the Giants is the temptation to look past this game and onto the powerhouse New England Patriots next week.
  2. @ New England Patriots - PrimeTime GOTW This is Part II of the Gotw as the Giants look for answers as they gave up 61 points to the struggling vikings in week 5. They will be looking down the right arm of Tom Brady so expect this game to be won threw the air no matter who wins
  3. Arizona Cardinals - Two of the leagues most dynamic Talents will be on the field as the Giants will take on the Kyler Murray and the Cardinals offense. The Giants are looking to go to 6-1, but they cannot overlook the Cardinals
  4. @ Detroit Lions -

Philadelphia Eagles 0-6 (Streak -6)

  • Next Four Games -
  1. New York Jets - (Eagles +15) If the Eagles can limit turnovers this week they could have a chance to win. Easier said than done though as they have been a turnover machine all season. Good thing for them is so have the Jets. This one could be sloppy and these two teams like to engage in a game of hot potato.
  2. @ Minnesota Vikings - The Eagles have fallen to 0-5 and even though they have started scoring more points their defense has now abandoned them. The Vikings are coming off of scoring 60+ so look for a 0-6 start, and another season out of the playoffs for Melblaze, and the Eagles
  3. @Dallas Cowboys - Rivalry Game!!!! Part II however when the rubber meets the road the Eagles are winless, and the Cowboys have 1 win and their second head coach. If either team wants to get something going winning this game can be the start of it
  4. @Buffalo Bills -
draft week 8

If either team wants to get something going winning this game can be the start of it
  4. @Buffalo Bills -
Weekly Match Ups 4-8

The AFC is rounding out with the expected teams taking center stage, and a few suprise teams stepping up to

take a leadership role.

*JD's Sportsbook Predictions in Parentheses

AFC North:

.

Baltimore Ravens 4-2

  4. Bye Week -

Cincinnati Bengals 3-3

  4. @ Los Angeles Rams -

Cleveland Browns 5-1

  • Next Four Games -
  1. @ San Francisco 49ers (Browns +6).Rivalry Game!!!! This game has easily been dubbed Game of the Week as these two teams will square off in primetime. The Browns have pretty much an allstar team, and the Niners will like to know if they can even compete                                                    .
  2. Seattle Seahawks - The Browns will be looking to avoid a let down game after their big win in primetime week 5. They will be taking on a Seattle Team that feels they were robbed so expect maximum effort!
  3. Bye Week
  4. @ New England Patriots -

Pittsburgh Steelers 3-3

  3. Bye Week
  4. Miami Dolphins -

AFC West:

..

Kansas City Chiefs 4-2

  4. Green Bay Packers -

Los Angeles Chargers 5-1

  4. @ Chicago Bears -

Denver Broncos 2-4

  4. @ Indianapolis Colts -

Oakland Raiders 3-2

  • Next Four Games -
  1. Chicago Bears (Raiders +4) . The Raiders tied up their record winning two in a row, but will now have their toughest test of the season as they welcome in Khalil Mack their former player and the Chicago Bears.
  2. Bye Week
  3. @ Green Bay Packers - Fresh off a bye week, and the undefeated Packers are waiting for you. Good thing the Raiders had two weeks to prepare. not turning the ball over will be key if the Raiders want to win
  4. @ Houston Texans -

AFC South:

..

Indianapolis Colts 1-4

  4. Denver Broncos -

Tennessee Titans 4-2

  4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers -

Houston Texans 1-5

  4. Oakland Raiders -

Jacksonville Jaguars 4-2

  4. New York Jets -

AFC East:

..

New England Patriots 4-2

  4. Cleveland Browns -

Miami Dolphins 1-4

  • Next Four Games -
  1. Bye Week -
  2. Washington Redskins - the Dolphins are fresh off a bye week, and have had two weeks to plan for the Washington Redskins. Look for the Dolphins to focus on slowing down Derrius Guice and the Redskins Potent rushing attack
  3. @ Buffalo Bills - Rivalry Game!!!! it's rivalry Week in the East as every team is squared off. The Dolphins will pit Josh Rosh, Vs Josh Allen in a match up of Two Josh's....
  4. @ Pittsburgh Steelers -

New York Jets 3-2

  4. @ Jacksonville Jaguars -

Buffalo Bills 2-3

  4. Philadelphia Eagles -

The NFC will be the focus as we look at the first 4 games of each team in the NFC divisions. With only a 16 game regular season every game matters and the first quarter of the season is just as important as the last. Lets look at some teams that have started out hot, teams that have startedslow and some teams that are right in the middle.

NFC North:

.

Green Bay Packers 6-0

  4. @ Kansas city Chiefs -

Detroit Lions 1-4

  • Next Four Games -
  1. Bye Week
  2. @ Green Bay Packers - Rivalry Game!! the Lions are coming off a much needed bye week to get their legs underneath after a rough start to the season. They will take on their North Rival in the Packers so winning here is imperative to turning the season around
  3. Minnesota Vikings - Rivalry Game!!!! This NFC North Match up should be a good one as the Lions take on the Vikings. Defense need not apply as the both these teams give up 30+ a game
  4. New York Giants -

Chicago Bears 2-3

Look for Khalil Mach to be a disruptive force all game
  4. Los Angeles Chargers -

Minnesota Vikings 3-3

Kirk Cousins and his full onslaught of Talented receivers should have a field day
  4. Washington Redskins -

NFC West:

..

Arizona Cardinals 1-5

  4. @ New Orleans Saints -

Seattle Seahawks 1-5

  4. @ Atlanta Falcons -

San Francisco 49ers 4-1

  4. Carolina Panthers -

Los Angeles Rams 3-3

AFC South:

..

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 1-5

Carolina Panthers 4-2

Atlanta Falcons 3-3

  • Next Four Games -

New Orleans Saints 5-1

  • Next Four Games -

NFC East:

..

The Dallas Cowboys 1-5

  • Next Four Games -
  4. Bye Week

Washington Redskins 3-3

  • Next Four Games -

New York Giants 5-1

  • Next Four Games -

Philadelphia Eagles 0-6

  • Next Four Games -
If either team wants to get something going winning this game can be the start of it
  4. @Buffalo Bills -
NFASL Match ups 1-4

NFASL Weekly Previews The AFC will be the first focus as we look at the first 4 games of each team in the league. These match ups make up 1/4 of the season, and saving your nuts and putting them away for the winter is imperative to securing a highly coveted playoff spot. There aren't many games in a NFL Season so the first 4 games can make or break your season. Not falling too far behind becomes of the utmost importance for every team with Designs on hoisting the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the season.  With every team feeling as though they have a chance these crop of games are definitely the most exciting! However lets not for get it's now where you start, but where you wind up.

AFC North:

.

Baltimore Ravens 1-2

  • Next Four games - Cleveland Browns

The Baltimore Ravens will take on two of the toughest teams in the league in their next two as Patrick Mahomes, and the Kansas City Chiefs will test their Secondary. Their next game will be against the Division leading Browns, lead by their middle Linebacker Joe Schobert who has already hauled in 5 ints. If the Ravens can come out of the first part 1/4 part of the season 2-2, they will chalk it up as a victory.

Cincinnati Bengals 2-1

  • Next Four Games - Pittsburgh Steelers

The Bengals will get to see what they are made of in the first portion of the season as they go an auto win versus, the Seahawks and the doors blown off of them in their first live action against the Highly talented Niners. Their next set of games are just as lethal as they will be taking on the Buffalo Bills, and Pittsburgh Steelers on the road.

Cleveland Browns 3-0

  • Next Four Games -  Baltimore Ravens

The Cleveland Browns have jumped out to a 2-0 record, and lead the Division early. They will be tested however in their next two games as the Los Angeles Rams, and their Bitter Rivals Tommanowns, and the Baltimore Ravens will be a door prize. The Browns have the talent, now they just have to keep playing the way they have been.

Pittsburgh Steelers 1-2

  • Next Four Games -  Cincinatti Bengals

The Steelers were a Hail mary away from being 2-0, and are still reeling from a loss in such a fashion. Well they get to take out that frustration on the San Francisco 49ers, and Cincinatti Bengals in their Next two.

AFC West:

..

Kansas City Chiefs 2-1

  • Next Four games - Lions

The Kansas City Chiefs have been up and down this season with their offense scoring 54 points, and their Defense giving up 54. They will take on the Ravens, in their next game, so they will expect big plays from their big play makers. They should be a match up nightmare for the Lions, but when you have a defense playing this poorly anything can happen.

Los Angeles Chargers 3-0

  • Next Four Games - Dolphins

The Los Angeles Chargers are still waiting on their game against the Lions in week 2. they are 1-0 now, and and the proposition of 2-0 would be just what the doctor ordered. They will take on the Texans, and DeShawn Watson, and their talented group of receivers, and then round off with the Dolphins who will have major protection issues trying to Keep Joey Bosa out of the backfield.

Denver Broncos 2-1

  • Next Four Games -  Jaguars

The Denver Broncos are a surprising 2-0, defeating the Bears a week ago. They have been clicking on all cylinders as they have scored 78 points, and their defense only giving up 39. They will travel to lambeau to take on the Packers coming up, and winning at an iconic venue could be this teams first signature win. They will host the Jaguars in week 4, and hoping when they do face them they have a chance at 4-0.

Oakland Raiders 1-2

  • Next Four Games - Colts

The Oakland Raiders start to the season has been abysmal at 0-2, and things might get worse before they get better. The Raiders are struggling mightily on offense only averaging 16 points per game. They will be taking on the highly talented Vikings, followed up by a Super Bowl contender in the Colts in week 4. 0-4 is a real possibility for a proud franchise.

AFC South:

..

Indianapolis Colts 1-2

  • Next Four games -  Oakland Raiders

The Indianapolis Colts were several early season predictors to come out of the AFC South, but a 0-2 start has put a damper on their season thus far. The Fumble bug has plagued them all season long, causing them to lose the turnover battle, and their first two games. They will be taking on the Falcons in week 3, and with their Defense they will have to cover the ball on every play. Game 4 will see them host the Raiders, who has also struggled so they will be playing as though their season depends on it.

Tennessee Titans 2-1

  • Next Four Games - Atlanta Falcons

The Tennessee Titans start the season 1-1 with a loss to the highly talented Browns in week 1, but followed that loss with a division win against the Colts in week 2. Their next game will see them take on another Division rival in the Jaguars which gives that game a little more signifigance than their next game against the Falcons which is out of conference.

Houston Texans 0-3

  • Next Four Games - Carolina Panthers

The Houston Texans pass defense failed them giving up 4 Touchdown passes to Drew Brees in their week 1 loss. They will be looking to get back on track in their next game against Division rival the Jacksonville Jaguars in week 2, before playing two out of Division teams in the Chargers on the road, and the Panthers at home.

Jacksonville Jaguars 2-1

  • Next Four Games -  Denver Broncos

The Jacksonville Jaguars came away with a big time win in week 2 defeating the high Powered Chiefs. They will be in line to make their mark on the Division with 2 of their next 4 games being inside the division with the Texans, and Titans in back to back weeks before rounding out against the as of now undefeated Broncos.

AFC East:

..

New England Patriots 3-0

  • Next Four games -  Bills

The New England Patriots start the Season 2-0, while not clicking on all cylinders with Tom Brady throwing 8 interceptions on the season. Bad news for Their next two opponents will be against two Division rivals. If the Patriots start 4-0 with 3 straight wins inside the Division, that could spell Division come the end of the season.

Miami Dolphins 1-2

  • Next Four Games -  Chargers

The Miami Dolphins looked like two different teams in their first two games coming away with a impressive win over the Ravens in week 1, but then throwing up all over themselves with a 53-30 loss in week 2 with Josh Rosen throwing 8 ints in that loss. Their next games will be against two run heavy teams in the Cowboys, and Chargers. They gave up an average of 150 yards in their two games this season and will need to get that squared away if they expect to win against those two teams

New York Jets 1-2

  • Next Four Games -  Bye Week

The New York Jets have started the season 1-1, and have looked like they will have to be reckoned with all season long. Sam Darnold with a full year under his belt has looked the part in both their games so far this season. They take on the Patriots in week 3 before they have a early season Bye week in week 4

Buffalo Bills 0-3

  • Next Four Games -  Patriots

The Buffalo Bills offense has vacated the building with them only scoring and average of 16ppg in their opening two games, both losses mind you. With their next two games being against talented teams a 0-4 start could be disaster that may not be able to be avoided. At the very least with Tom Brady, and the Patriots coming to town in week 4.

The NFC will be the focus as we look at the first 4 games of each team in the NFC divisions. With only a 16 game regular season every game matters and the first quarter of the season is just as important as the last. Lets look at some teams that have started out hot, teams that have startedslow and some teams that are right in the middle.

NFC North:

.

Green Bay Packers 3-0

  • Next game - Eagles

The Packers new head coach Yell has come out the gate firing on all cylinders, putting the league on notice that he intends to bring the Packers what is has never had in NFASL history, a championship. He is doing this with an all around balanced attack. With a top 10 offense and defense Coach Yell isn't asking Rodgers to carry the load like some coaches may be tempted to do. It will be interesting to if he can still not rely heavily on Rodgers as the schedule gets tougher. His combined oppenents schedule going into week 4 is 4-8.

Detroit Lions 1-2

  • Next Game - Chiefs

The Lions have not found their idenity yet on offense to start the season. They haven't ran or passed well putting their defense in bad situations. The first 2 games were not how you picture the season started if you are Coach Musa, who predicted a superbowl this madden. Seems as the Lions might have found confidence after beating the Eagles 42-6 last week. If they have any chance of accomplishing that then they better find out what kind of offensive team they plan on being in a hurry because reigning MVP Patrick Maholmes is waiting for them in Arrowhead.

Chicago Bears 1-2

  • Next Game - Vikings

The Bears and Coach JD have to be kicking themselves over crucial turnovers in back to back games to start the season, most of them coming in the redzone to make things worse. Another 3 turnovers in the redzone last week  agaist Washington has the Bears lucky to even be 1-2. As talented as the defense is they can only carry the team for so long through crucial mistakes. Not having a running game has made them reliant on the pass and young Tribusky doesn't seem ready to carry a team so they better try to establish a running game going into the bye.

Minnesota Vikings 1-2

  • Next Game - Bears

The Vikings problem is simple: they have to get some stops. They are giving up the most points in the league which is unacceptable for one of the more talented defenses in the league. They have stars on every level of the defense and Coach Koko needs them to start playing like it. The turnovers aren't helping either as the defense finds itself in tough spots. They got to finish drives as they are moving the ball but its not leading to points. A big game is coming up vs the Bears so we will see if they can clean up their mistakes.

NFC West:

..

Arizona Cardinals 1-2

  • Next game -  Seahawks

The Cardinals after starting the season with a 54 point explosion have cooled off, scoring 14 points in back to back games. Turnovers have been a problem but that can be expected with a rookie qb. David Johnson is having a pretty good so far and the Cards look to rely on that going foward till their number 1 pick Kylar Murray is ready to take that next step. Not a lot of expectations for this young team, the focus will be on building the team for next year.

Seattle Seahawks 0-3

  • Next Game - Cardinals

The  Seahwaks have simply just been bad. Most of that being that Coach Iccy had to show up late to the season. Not too late to turn it around but the road has gotten tougher for them after an 0-3 start. The journey of a 1,000 miles starts with the first step. In this case thats getting their first win vs the Cardinals this week.

San Francisco 49ers 3-0

  • Next Game - Bye Week

The 49ers and Coach Kaliko have to happy with how the season started as the stand undefeated going into the bye week. Thier rolling through the competition and look to take that momentum into a heavyweight matchup vs the Browns after their bye week. It will be their first real test and I know the fans can't wait for that NFASL rivalry. Something to watch is if they have the wide recievers on offense to beat the top teams, the one weakness you can point at is they are 20th in passing. With Jimmy G being the highest paid player on the team, having passing being the weakness can't be something they are happy about.

Los Angeles Rams 1-2

  • Next Game - Buccaneers

The Rams defense is still in training camp because they haven't showed up to the season yet. They are last in points given up and yards as they just gave up an embarrassing 62 points last week vs the Browns. The defense will have to look in the mirrior and make some changes. The offense is doing its job led by Jared Golf and Brandin Cooks but when your defense can't stop a traffic cone theres not much you can do. I look for Coach Jboc to switch things up. In fairness the Rams have had the toughest schedule so far but thats still not an excuse for the defense being this bad.

AFC South:

..

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 0-3

  • Next Game- Rams

The Buccs are headed in a bad direction this season as they have been on the wrong side of 3 non-competitive games. Jameis Winston having 1 year left on his deal was entering a decision year if his career would be moving foward with Buccs but he actually hasn't had a bad year so far. This will make it an interesting desicion in the offseason wheather they keep him or not. The Buccs will face the Rams in week 4 and if they lose here they might want to start gameplanning for next year.

Carolina Panthers 2-1

  • Next Game - Texans

The Panthers responded to a shootout loss in week 1 against the Rams by winning the last 2 games. The defense led by star linebacker Luke Kuechly has stepped up these last 2 games showing their fans that week 1 was an outlier and they still are one of the top defenses in football. Cam Newton has had a great start and is looking like MVP Cam which is good news for Coach Nick because the Panthers made the superbowl Cam's mvp year. The Panthers need more of the same if they are to keep pace with the powerhouse Saints.

Atlanta Falcons 1-2

  • Next Game - Titans

The Falcons are having all kinds of trouble against the pass as they ranked last in pass defense. They have also given up over 40 points two out of three games to start the defnse. If their defense can turn it around they might be able to make some noise as their offense is filled with weopans for former mvp Matt Ryan to use. They better do it fast because the Saints and Panthers are looking really good to start the year.

New Orleans Saints 3-0

  • Next Game - Cowboys

The Saints are flexing their muscle on the league as their defense has been stingy and their offense is doing what it wants in the run and the pass. With a really good oline and a backfield that is led by Brees and Kamara the Saints are going to be tough to stop. The Saints have been able to take care of the ball better than anyone in the league with only have thrown two intercetions so far. If you can find a flaw to how this team is playing let me know.

AFC East:

..

Dallas Cowboys 1-2

  • Next game - Saints

The Dallas Cowboys took two divisional blows to start the season from the Giants and Washington. Never good to start 0-2 especially when its divisional games as those could be tiebreakers down the road. It doesn't get any easier for the Boyz as they head to one of the hardest places to win a game and thats New Orleans. A win here could propel them to a season changing run. Winning a game that no one expects you to win always boost the team confidence sky high and after losing to two rivals they could use that. To do that they need to figure out how to get the offense back on track especially the run game.

Washington Redskins 2-1

  • Next Game - Giants

Washington started off the season the opposite of the Cowboys as they racked up two division wins early. No better way to start than that but they did take a slight step back as they lost a home game to the Bears last week. Still they have had a good start and look to make a statement against a team they have struggled with and thats the New York Giants. They are headed to the Meadowlands with the top defense in the league and when you are playing a divsion road game that doesn't hurt to have.

New York Giants 3-0

  • Next Game -  Washington

The New York Giants have started the season letting teams know that they are more than Odell Beckham Jr. In an offseason where they lost one of the best players in football and were written off by many they have came out with a chip the size of New York on their shoulder. They are averaging a crazy 47 ppg as this could be one Coach Shooter's best seasons yet. That being said the combined record of their first three oppenents were 1-8 but the good news for them is their schedule doesn't get too much harder.

Philadelphia Eagles 0-3

  • Next Game-  Packers

Nothing new here. Not much more to say about the Philadelphia Eagles that hasn't been said over the last few years. They have the talent but haven't been able to utilize that talent to say the least. I'm sure teams have already called the Eagles about the projected number 1 pick.

Weekly Match ups

The AFC is rounding out with the expected teams taking center stage, and a few suprise teams stepping up to take a leadership role. In the first four games of the season only the Los Angeles Chargers were able to come out unscathed. The Chargers are 4-0, and will look to carry that over into their next 4 games.  The NFC will be the focus as we look at the first 4 games of each team in the NFC divisions. With only a 16 game regular season every game matters and the first quarter of the season is just as important as the last. Lets look at some teams that have started out hot, teams that have startedslow and some teams that are right in the middle.

Green Bay Packers 3-0

  • Next Four games -
  1. @ Dallas Cowboys -
  2. Detroit Lions -

  4. @ Kansas city Chiefs -      The Packers new head coach Yell has come out the gate firing on all cylinders, putting the league on notice that he intends to bring the Packers what is has never had in NFASL history, a championship.

Madden 20 Kick off game

The NFASL is Back!!!!! The New Season is upon us, and right now there are 32 teams all feeling like they have a more than good chance at winning Super Bowl XXX! the reigning champ is none other than EddieHendriix, and the New Orleans Saints as they hang their 2nd banner in the Hall of Champions. As you know however this is a what have you done for me lately league, and with a new Madden comes a all new optimism. Guess what this one is no different! With a new season hope springs eternal. However New rivalries are forged, and old Rivalries smolder! The New owners in the league, such as MrRay718, Palmerjr2, K_Beex, Bigmoneynick_,and  Yell_2, are looking to make their marks, where as owners like kokotea33, King_Musa722, QB11KC, EddieHendriix, Kevin_3447, and Bgreat238 are no longer rookies, but now have some standing in the league. They are not veterans just yet, but they are making their way, with EddieHendriix already making his mark, and QB11KC banging on the door.

The league is a well run machine, and only getting better every day. I look forward to another Madden season as your commissioner with the help of JD, and Shooter. Without Further interruption from me, Coach JD wrote up this weeks Kick off preview below.

  NFASL

Kick Off Game

2019

 @

Pittsburgh Steelers (0-1)29      New England Patriots (1-0)35

Team Leaders:

  • B. Roethlisberger 143yds, 0td, 2int T. Brady 460yds, 4td, 4ints
  • J. Conner 21att, 119yds, 1td         S. Michel 11att, 38yds, 0td
  • J. Smith-schuster 3rec, 90yds, 0td J. Gordon 7rec, 228yds, 3td

                    Miracle in Foxborough!

Foxborough, MA. No better way to start the 30th NFASL season with one the leagues classic rivalries, Coach Atk vs Coach Hunter. This rivalry has been close to dominated by Coach ATK who can make a case that he has real estate insides Hunter’s head. In fact, I’m not sure it has constituted as a rivalry if I’m being honest with Coach Atk dominating the head to head matchups including stopping what most believe was Hunter’s best chance at a Superbowl. Hunter’s 16-0 Titans season was ended by Coach ATK’s Patriots in the conference championship with Hunter missing a wide-open receiver in the end zone to end it. I know you newcomers are saying, “there really was a time where Hunter was going 16-0” and as crazy as that seems it is true, I’m not making it up. You could say it’s even crazier than the guy who was known for saying “Your Fired” on TV is now the president. But the game was a classic with Hunter missing a WIDE-open receiver in the endzone, the play even turned into a meme featuring Kaliko’s crying face.

Atk went on to bask in Superbowl glory while Hunter went off the edge, he started smoking a lot of weed and even posting a picture pointing a gun at one point. His game hasn’t been the same since. But that was then and this is now, Coach Hunter can start to write a new narrative with this big opening game of the Madden 20 season! The coaches are the same, however there will be some familiar faces missing from this game. Three of the leagues best players to have ever laced up their cleats moved on in the offseason. For the Patriots it was legendary partier and player TE Rob Gronkowski who decided the party was over and that it was time to hang it up early. He has been Tom Brady’s go to target for the last 8 seasons and Coach Atk will have to adjust his game plan to fill the big void Gronk has left.

On the Steelers’ side it was disgruntled players Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell who went on to join different teams. Most teams wouldn’t be able to recover from these types of losses but what has made these two franchises so great is being able to find the right next man up and I expect nothing but the same here.

JD's key players of the game:

  • Juju Smith-Shuster - Juju has all eyes on him as he steps into some of the biggest shoes to fill in NFL history as what AB did on this team was nothing short of historic. Can he make plays as the number one option? Can he get open when the defense game plans to stop him? All questions that will be answered during the season and seasons to come.
  • Sony Michell - Michel coming off a phenomenal Superbowl run and has to take that momentum into the season as the Patriots look to preserve Brady by leaning heavy on the run game. He needs to get going early and often to set up the Patriots play actions and to keep rushers from gearing up to rush Brady.
  • Match ups - The biggest matchup to watch is standout Patriots’ corner Stephon Gilmore vs the young and talented WR Juju Smith-Shuster. Both are all pros for a reason I expect them to both make plays for their team.

I see this game being back and forth with a good amount of points being scored. It wouldn’t surprise me at all to see both these teams with over 30 points each. Whichever way this one ends up I see both of these teams being strong contenders in the AFC with Coach Atk looking to get out of the 1-time wonders Superbowl club and Coach Hunter looking to get his name entered into the Hall of Champions for the 1st time. A chip was added to Hunter’s pale shoulders as Commissioner Moon predicted him to finish dead last in the division. A division that has the Bengals in it that’s got to be a little extra motivation. This game even though it is only the 1st game can end up being a game you look back at as the difference between making a playoff run or having to watch the playoffs on twitch. Their divisions are brutal with the East having the always contending Buffalo Bills led by mut master Coach Offensive Dom. And the North having legendary coach Tommanowns and notorious lighting rod Coach Ryan Roffman, the divisional races are going to be a dawg fight to the end so neither team can afford to giveaway games.

The new season is upon us, every team has a chance to win, and optimism is renewed!  Until next time this has been a Sim Athletics Network Production.

EddieHendriix   XXIX

On February 8th, 2019 the New Orleans Saints won Super Bowl XXIX Madden 19 PS4! The Coach of the Team EddieHendriix won his second Super Bowl, and did it in near amazing fashion as he did his first one. The Saints finished the season 15-1, going 37-1 in his two winning seasons! The New Orleans Saints defeated the Cleveland Browns in blowout fashion 41-13. The Coach of the Browns was RedskinsWAHOOOO Now going 0-4 in Super Bowls. The MVP of the game was Saints 3rd year Star now Corner Back Jacon Crutchfield who intercepted Browns Quarterback Baker Mayfield twice. The New Orleans Saints are on pace to be one of the best teams in NFASL History, and their coach has already stated that Super Bowl XXX is the next Goal!  Congratulations on your Super Bowl Win!

AFC Preview

On this edition of ESPNEWS We will focus in on the AFC and preview every team in the Conference. The AFC has fell behind 17-12 in banners hanging in the Hall of Champions. The most recent team to have that dubious honor is the Cleveland Browns who could not get the job done in Super Bowl XXIX falling to the New Orleans Saints. The Browns headcoach RedskinsWAHOOOO has now lost is 3rd Super Bowl! The Browns were one of the busier teams this offseason, and are one of the hands on favorites to win it all this year. There were several moves made in the offseason for the Division with some talented coaches changing zip codes, and picking up teams to balance out the league. QB11KC jumped at the chance to play with the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs were one of those teams that has everything in place to win it all, except a good coach, that has officially changed! The AFC East did the same thing adding a headcoach who comes in with much fanfaire as the Kardiak Kid K_Beex has taken over the Languishing Miami Dolphins. In the 29 seasons of the NFASL the Dolphins have been the most down trodden franchises and many are hoping that it changes this year. Coach K_Beex claim to fame is on the offensive side of the ball, and should at least make the Dolphins competitve. The Final piece of the puzzle to fill out the AFC was none other than Super Bowl XIV winner criticalnews2 taking over the Tennessee Titans. The Titans franchise many moons ago hung a banner, and will now be in contention to win another with a good coach. Without further adieu lets take a indepth look at all the Divisions in the AFC!

AFC North:

  • Cleveland Browns  Coach of the Team: RedskinsWAHOOO
  • Pittsburgh Steelers  Coach of the Team: Hac_3443
  • Baltimore Ravens  Coach of the Team: Tomman_Owns
  • Cincinatti Bengals  Coach of the Team: B_L_Great

Overview: The AFC North is always a slobber knocker as the Ravens, and Browns go head to head yearly. This one will be no different as they easily have some of the best talent in the league, and they will only make this Division one to watch. The Browns head coach will look to hang his first banner, and the Ravens headcoach will look to hang their first.

Baltimore Ravens -

  • Key Additions/Re-Signings - Earl Thomas, Mark Ingram, Tavon Young, Robert Griffin III
  • Key Losses - C.J. Mosley, Eric Weddle, John Brown, Terrell Suggs, Za'Darius Smith, Michael Crabtree, Joe Flacco

The Baltimore Ravens are run by NFASL Legend and 4 time Super Bowl Champ Tommanowns so they are more than good at the most important position. The Ravens have the most dynamic Quarterback since Michael Vick as Lamar Jacksons speed is that of a wideout which could be hell for opposing defenses. If he can hold onto the ball, and play turnover free ball the Ravens could shock the division by winning it the first year

Cincinnati Bengals -

  • Key Additions/Re-Signings - John Miller, Kerry Wynn, B.W. Webb, Darqueze Dennard, Preston Brown, C.J. Uzomah
  • Key Losses - Vontaze Burfict, Michael Johnson

The Bengals didn't do much this offseason as many think they are looking forward to this summers draft as they should be in line for one of the Quarterbacks that are available. They already drafted the Tackle of the future, and now making sure they are in line for a franchise changing QB should be thought about right now.

Cleveland Browns -

  • Key Additions/Re-Signings- Odell Beckham Jr., Olivier Vernon, Sheldon Richardson, Kareem Hunt, Morgan Burnett, Gregg Robinson
  • Key Losses - Kevin Zeitler, Jabrill Peppers, Jamie Collins, Emmanuel Ogbah

The Cleveland Browns were the loudest team in teh offseason adding much maligned, but immensely talented Odell Beckham Jr to their roster. With Beckham on the Team many believe the Browns are headed for greatness, and their headcoach RedskinsWAHOOOO will finally get that Super bowl that has eluded him all these years.

Pittsburgh Steelers -

  • Key Additions/re-signings - Steven Nelson, Mark Barron, Donte Moncrief, Ben Roethlisberger, Anthony Chickillo, Jordan Berry
  • Key Losses - Antonio Browns, Le'Veon Bell, Marcus Gilbert, Morgan Burnett, Jesse James

The Steelers are hoping on addition by subtraction getting rid of a tumultous locker room and team killer Antonio Brown, and Le'Veon Bell. they will miss that talent however as they are among the leagues best. The steelers will have to lean heavily on JuJu Smith-Schuster and the right arm of newly resigned Ben Roethlisberger.

Commissioner Moons Predictions:

  1. Cleveland Browns
  2. Baltimore Ravens
  3. Cincinnati Bengals
  4. Pittsburgh Steelers

AFC West:

  • Denver Broncos  Coach of the Team: Kevin_3447
  • Kansas City Chiefs  Coach of the Team: QB11KC
  • Oakland Raiders  Coach of the Team: e30zack
  • San Diego Chargers  Coach of the Team: I757IMonster

Overview: The NFC west just got a boost in coaching talent with the introduction of QB11KC taking over the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs are one of the most talented teams in the league, and should be one to watch as the league progresses. Lets go team by team.

Kansas City Chiefs -

  • Key Additions - Tyrann Mathieu, Frank Clark, Carlos Hyde, Kieth Reaserwas easily won by the Oakland
  • Key Losses - Kareem Hunt, Justin Houston

The Chiefs have the best Young quarterback in the game in Patrick Mahomes, and the human cheat code Tyreek Hill for him to throw the ball to. They then started working on their defense which was one of the leagues worst as they added the Honey Badger, and Frank Clark to sure up that side of the ball.

Oakland Raiders -

  • Key Additions - Antonio Browns, Trent Brown, LaMarcus Joyner, Tyrell Williams, Clelin Ferrell, Josh Jacobs
  • Key Losses - Keleche Osemele, Jordy Nelson, Donald Penn, Marshawn Lynch

The Raiders lost several good players a year ago but started replenshing the stock this offseason for their Quarterback Derek Carr. Adding Antonio Brown, and Tyrell Williams, and a major speed upgrade at running back has many thinking the Raiders will be one of the highest scoring teams in the league. They are coached by a Super Bowl XIII winning headcoach in e30zack

San Diego Chargers -

  • Key Additions - Jerry Tillery, Thomas Davis, Tyrod Taylor
  • Key Losses - Tyrell Williams, Jason Verrett, Darius Philon

The Chargers have all the talent it would take to win Super Bowl XXX, even with the long in tooth Philip Rivers who seems to be getting younger. They have a defense that will give fits to opposing teams with Bosa, and Melvin Ingram rushing opposing QB's in a passing league.

Denver Broncos -

  • Key Additions - Joe Flacco, Noah Fant, Ja'Waun James, Kareem Jackson
  • Key Losses - Case Keenum, Matt Paradis, Brandon Marshall

The Denver Broncos are building for the future drafting Noah Fant to secure the tackle position, and then drafting the Quarterback of the future big arm Drew Locke. Locke has shown well in camp allowing the Broncos to cut Joe Flacco in Minicamp. They will be hoping locke continues his improvement, however preseason is a whole other animal than the regular season.

Commissioner Moons Predictions:

  1. Oakland Raiders
  2. San Diego Chargers
  3. Kansas City Chiefs
  4. Denver Broncos

AFC South:

  • Jacksonville Jaguars  Coach of the Team: PacificCowboy
  • Indianapolis Colts  Coach of the Team: Gaberooni54
  • Houston Texans  Coach of the Team: BigRY8
  • Tennessee Titans  Coach of the Team: criticalnews2

Overview: The NFC South has perenially been the most competitive division in the NFASL but that will be looking to change with coach criticalnews joining. that means the remaining teams will have to step their games up or hand the keys to the Division to the Titans for several seasons. The talent is here, so i fully expect these teams to fall in line.

Tennessee Titans -

  • Key Additions - Ryan Tannehill, Rodger Saffold, Cameron Wake, Adam humphries
  • Key Losses - Josh Klinee, Quinton Spain, Blaine Gabbert, Brian Orakpo

The Titans are putting some fire under the feet of Marcus Mariota by adding Ryan Tannehill to make sure he knows that playing well is part of the job. However with a new headcoach the Titans will look for him to add what he did for Cam Newton in the Carolinas.

Jacksonville Jaguars -

  • Key Additions - Nick Foles, Jake Ryan, Chris conley, Geoff Swaim
  • Key Losses - Blake Bortles, Malik Jackson, Tashaun Gipson, Donte Mondrief, Austin Seferian-Jenkins, T.J. yeldon, Carlos Hyde

The Jaguars made the one move that has eluded them for several seasons and that was getting that starting quarterback position under control. with their defense the Jaguars needed a quarterback that would manage the game and not throw away their chances. Nick Foles fills that role beautifully and should make this team one to watch.

Indianapolis Colts -

  • Key Additions - Justin Houston, Devin Funchess, Spencer Ware
  • Key Losses - Al Wood, Ryan Grant, Dontrelle inMan

The Colts have reinvented themselves giving Andrew Luck a offensive line, and a run game. Adding Devin funchess only helps the run game, and passing attack with his ability to catch in traffic. They also added Justin Houston to help out with the pass rush could make this team one to watch.

Houston Texans -

  • Key Additions - Tashaun Gipson, Bradley Roby, A.J. McCarron, Matt Kalil
  • Key Losses - Tyrann Mathieu, Kareem jackson, Andre Hal, kevin johnson, Demaryius Thomas

The Texans only job this offseason was to make sure DeShaun Watson to stay upright as he was sacked the most times in the NFL a year ago. they should be just the more dangerous because of it, and with his speed and right arm, and all world wide receiver on the outside makes the Texans one of the most dangerous teams in the league.

Commissioner Moons Predictions:

  1. Tennessee Titans
  2. Jacksonville Jaguars
  3. Houston Texans
  4. Indianapolis Colts

AFC East:

  • New England Patriots  Coach of the Team: ATK133
  • Miami Dolphins  Coach of the Team: K_BeeX
  • Buffalo Bills  Coach of the Team: OffensiveDom
  • New York Jets  Coach of the Team: TraylonaKanana

Overview: The AFC East has just become a 4 team race with the Miami Dolphins hiring a new head coach. These teams made several moves in the offseason, with the Jets being the most active. the days of 13 wins and winning division should be over as 10-6, 11-5 is more realistic this season.

Buffalo Bills -

  • Key Additions - Frank Gore, T.J. Yeldon, Cole Beasley, John Brown, Tyler Kroft,Ty Nsekhe, Spencer Long
  • Mitch Morse, Kevin Johnson
  • Key Losses - Devin Singletary, John Miller, Kyle Williams

The Bills addressed their offensive line in the offseason adding several pieces to keep Josh Allen upright. He still showed well a year ago, and with coach Offensivedom, Super Bowl winning headcoach at the Helm the Bills should be one of the leagues best.

New England Patriots -

  • Key Additions - Demaryius Thomas, Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Benjamin Watson, Michael Bennett, Jamie Collins
  • Key Losses - Chris Hogan, Cordarrelle Patterson, Dwayne Allen, Rob Gronkowski, Trent Brown, Adrian Clayborn, Trey Flowers, Malcolm Brown, Eric Rowe

The New England Patriots have a Super Bowl winning headcoach in ATK133 and should be in line for another as long as Tom Brady is on the field. They will have to do it without Future Hall of Famer Rob Gronkowski who suddenly retired. They did add some pieces to the team that should reap benefits in the season to come!

New York Jets -

  • Key Additions - Trevor Siemian, Le'Veon Bell, Jamison Crowder, Kelechi Osemele, C.J. Mosley, Chandler Catanzaro
  • Key Losses - Isaiah Crowell, James Carpenter, Spencer Long, Buster Krine, Jason Myers

The Jets have quietly been one of the best teams in the offseason addressing several team needs with the additions of Mosley, Crowder, and Bell. With them Drafting Sam Darnold last year, and now surrounding him with weapons the Jets could be a sleeper in the East.

Miami Dolphins -

  • Key Additions - Josh Rosen, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Dwayne Allen, Akeem Spence, Eric Rowe
  • Key Losses - Ryan Tannehill, Frank Gore, Danny Amendola, Ja'Waun James, Josh Sitton, Cameron Wake

The Dolphins added several pieces in the offseason but their biggest addition was the headcoach K_Beex. Paired up with strong arm Josh Rosen the Dolphins could finally make some noise in the East. They lost some good players on defense so the offense will have to click early and often.

Commissioner Moons Predictions:

  1. Buffalo Bills
  2. New England Patriots
  3. New York Jets
  4. Miami Dolphins
NFASL NFC Preview

On this edition of ESPNEWS We will focus in on the NFC and preview every team in the Conference. In the real world it was the New England Patriots, that won the Super Bowl, however in the NFASL it was The New Orleans Saints bringing home the hardware as he hung his second banner in the Hall of Champions winning Super Bowl XXIX. The Saints start this season as the defending champs, and will look to bring another one to the who dat nation. This is certain to be one of the leagues best as it is the 30th Anniversay of the NFASL, a Banner season in the greatest league on the planet. Madden 20 is out, and the new league starts on August 7th, 2019 @8pm est. That means the long hot summer is over, and now it's L Season, no scuses season, step back throw a game winning touchdown season, run up the gut, spin around a defender Season, Madden Season! . The Saints head coach EddieHendriix Hall of Champions Ceremony will be coming later in the week. The NFC was dominant in the Madden 19 edition winning the last 4 Super Bowls, and will look to do the same thing this year. However like stated earlier each Madden Season brings forth a new hope for all, and this Madden Season is no different. Without further adieu lets take a indepth look at all the Divisions in the NFC!

NFC North:

  • Chicago Bears Coach of the Team: Jady_Tru
  • Minnesota Vikings Coach of the Team: kokotea33
  • Green Bay Packers Coach of the Team: Yell_2
  • Detroit Lions Coach of the Team: King_Musa722

Overview: The Chicago Bears have a 4 time Super Bowl coach in Jady_Tru, and will look to hang a few more before all things are said and done. They have one of the best defenses in the game, and will look to add to it as they brought in Key addition Safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. Dix will be looking to replace Adrian Amos as a fill the box safety. However as long as the Bears have Khalil Mack coming off the edge they should be more than okay. The Detroit Lions added DE Tre Flowers in the offseason, and will look to have a really good front four even with the loss of Ezekiel Ansah. Flowers paired up with Snacks Harrison will cause a lot of nightmares for opposing offenses. The Lions will look to the offense to put up some serious points as Kenny Golladay emerged as a Number 1 receiver last season, and with Danny Amendola as a safety net, and the addition of T.J. Hockenson the Lions will have more than enough talent for Matthew Stafford to sling the ball around to. The Green Bay Packers brought in a new head coach in Yell_2 to run their franchise that had been not living up to their talent the past couple seasons. With one of the games greats at quarterback the Packers spent most of their off season adding defense as they used the if you can't beat them, sign them to your team approach as they stole Safety Adrian Amos away from their bitter rival the Bears. They will need Amos to bring leadership to the locker room as the losses of Clay Matthews, Nick Perry, and on the offensive side Randall Cobb will be felt throughout. The Final team in the Division are the Minnesota Vikings who brought back pretty much everyone except DT Sheldon Richardson which will be felt throughout the Defensive side of the ball. The Vikings were in serious need of Offensive line help so the addition of Garrett Bradbury in the draft is a welcome relief. Kirk Cousins will be asked to take the next step, and with Stephon Diggs, and a myriad of offensive weapons the Vikings could shock more than a few teams

Commissioners Moons predictions:

  1. Chicago Bears
  2. Green Bay Packers
  3. Detroit Lions
  4. Minnesota Vikings

NFC West:

  • Seattle Seahawks Coach of the Team: Icyyca
  • San Francisco 49ers Coach of the Team: kaliko_420
  • Arizona Cardinals Coach of the Team: Dominator1373
  • Los Angeles Rams Coach of the Team: JBoc27

Overview: The NFC west added some serious talent by the way of Dominator1373 taking over a Cardinals team with a rookie Quarterback that many are wondering if he can take the league by storm much like Michael Vick did. Kyler Murray is a dynamic talent, and will need to be unleashed in a way that may be a little bit foreign to what coach Dominator likes to do. Coach Dominator is a pound the rock, play tough defense head coach and he won a Super Bowl that way, so it will be a learning curve for him also. The Rams also added a talented coach in Jboc27, and with a roster that is second to none the Rams are a early season prediction to come out of the west. You can't talk about the Rams without talking about Super Star Aaron Donald. Donalds dominance is felt all throughout the defense even with the losses of Ndamkong Suh, and Lamarcus Joyner, Clay Matthews, and Eric Weddle will be welcome additions to the team. The Rams also have a healthy Todd Gurley, and another year of Seasoning for Jared Goff, and you can see why many have the Rams representing the NFC in Super Bowl XXX. The San Francisco 49ers head coach Kaliko_420 made his Mark on the league a year ago hanging his second banner in the Hall of Champions with what many are calling Trade Gate. The League changed the way business is done because of it so he will have his work cut out for him this season if he wants to hang a 3rd. They Added Dee Ford from the Chiefs, to go along with Deforrest Buckner so they have the makings of a dominant defensive line. not to mention the Addition of Kwon Alexander the Niners have the makings of a good defense. The Final team in the Division are the Seattle Seahawks who locked up their starting Quarterback position for several years with the signing of Super star Quarterback Russell Wilson. This is his team now as the Legion of Boom era is officially over. Richard Sherman plays for the Niners, Earl Thomas is lurking in Baltimore, and Kam Chancellor retired. The Seahawks could be in rebuild mode by the end of the season.

Commissioner Moons Predictions:

  1. Los Angeles Rams
  2. San Francisco 49ers
  3. Arizona Cardinals
  4. Seattle Seahawks

NFC South:

  • New Orleans Saints Coach of the Team: EddieHendriix
  • Carolina Panthers Coach of the Team: Bigmoneynick_
  • Atlanta Falcons Coach of the Team: MrRay718
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers Coach of the Team: Palmerjr2

Overview: The NFC South is home to the two time Champ EddieHendriix and the New orleans Saints winners of Super Bowl XXIX. From the looks of things the Saints are primed and ready to win another as all they did was add to a already talented team. Drew Brees, check, Alvin Kamara, Check, Michael Thomas, Check....they hit all the boxes for what many consider a must in the big three era. They also added Jared Cook, Latavious Murray, Eric McCoy, and Mario Edwards. They did lose some notable pieces in Max Unger, Alex Okafor, and Mark ingram so they will be looking for their replacements to offer more. The South also added 3 new coaches as Palmerjr2 (Buccaneers), MrRay718 (Falcons), Bigmoneynick_(Panthers) will look to make their mark in the best league on the planet. The Panthers will look to the additions of Chris Hogan, Matt Paradis, Brian Burns, Bruce Irvin, and Greg Little to spark both the offense and Defense. With Cam Newton in his Prime, and a swiss Army knife at running back Christian McCaffrey the Panthers could be a team that surprises some people this season. The Falcons have some of the best talent in the league, and arguably the best receiver in the game in Julio Jones. With a big play wideout on the outside defenses will have to scheme to slow him down, leaving running room for Devonta Freeman, and the rest of the offensive weapons for the Falcons. The Buccaneers are the final team in the Division and will look to see if Jameis Winston can ever take the next step in his development. The Loss of DeSean Jackson, will be felt on offense, but they have a game changing Linebacker in Devin Bush which should help them on the defensive side of the ball. They will need it with the losses of Kwon ALexander, and Brent Grimes.

Commissioner Moons Predictions:

  1. New Orleans Saints
  2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  3. Carolina Panthers
  4. Atlanta Falcons

NFC East:

  • New York Giants Coach of the Team: Active-_Shooter
  • Washington Redskins Coach of the Team: Newmoon001
  • Dallas Cowboys Coach of the Team: DynesTrio33
  • Philadelphia Eagles Coach of the Team: MelBlaze3521

Overview: The NFC East, or Beast as like to call them will be a wait and see approach as the Giants were dominant in 19, but failed to strike while the Iron was hot, and While they still had Odell Beckham jr. They traded him away for Jabrill Peppers to help in the Secondary which should help the Giants defense. The Giants also are moving on from the Eli Manning era when they drafted Daniel Jones in the first round, and Minicamp talk is he's the real deal. They will lean heavily on Saquon Barkley who will be asked to carry the offense. Golden Tate will have big shoes to fill, but Sterling shepard, is ready to take a step forward. The Dallas Cowboys are in salary cap hell however that did not stop them from signing Randall Cobb, Robert Quinn, inviting Tight End Jason Witten Back, and George Iloka. they have to think long term as this team is one of the most talented in the league but they will have to manage their cap or be expected to watch some talented people leave via free agency. The Washington Redskins are once again in the Rookie Quarterback business as Dwayne Haskins big right arm will be looked upon to uplift a once proud franchise. The Redskins are hoping for a repeat of the 2012 season when RGIII took the league by storm until injury derailed a promising career. The Eagles are once again controlled by Melblaze and they have arguably the best team in the league. Will this be the year the Eagles make a move in the NFASL? They added several pieces such as DeSean Jackson, Jordan Howard, Zach Brown, and a myriad of others. However the Eagles have always been talented only their headcoach love for the interception has been their undoing. Lets hope the trend doesn't continue.

Commissioner Moons Predictions:

  1. Dallas Cowboys
  2. Washington Redskins
  3. New York Giants
  4. Philadelphia Eagles
NFASL Welcome letter

.

Welcome to the National Football ALL Simulation League (NFASL). Another rendition of Madden football is upon us, and just like the world breathes new life in the Spring, so do we with the release of our beloved Football. While we wait for the final few members to join the league, we will take a page out of our book from last Madden with the creation of the league. We will start the league with the knowledge that when the official Rosters drop we will create a new league, and simulate the winning teams that won their weeks games. IE: I will copy down every teams win, and loss record and then Simulate it in the new league. We are gunning for 5 plus seasons this edition of Madden, and any delay to that process will be looked upon grimly. In any regard you should take this time to refresh ourselves of the league rules, and what is required from you within this league. If you Click on the link http://nfasl.spruz.com/rules.htm here it will take you to the rules page. I know that we have a ton of people returning as we have a solid group of players, but it can't hurt to make sure you are crystal clear on the rules. Especially since the rules page has been updated, and major changes to a few rules, IE: 4th down, Trades, as well as playcalling rules We play 1 game every 3 days, so the moment we advance make sure you text your opponent with your availability. If we get all our games played before the 3rd day we will advance to the next Week, so it kinda behooves all league members to play their games as quickly as possible. We have at few new members in the league so it is up to the Senior members to bring them along the right way. Those new members are:

  • MrRay718 - Atlanta Falcons
  • Bigmoneynick_ - Carolina Panthers
  • YeLL_N_UR_FACE - Green Bay Packers
  • K_BeeX - Miami Dolphins
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers - PalmerJr2

If you have any questions you can direct them toward me, or the two Co-Commissioners Active-_Shooter (NFC Commish), Jady_Tru (AFC Commish) in the Groupme Chat, as we will be happy to answer them as soon as we can. Good Luck to all of you in the coming seasons.
