NFASL Season 7 NFC Preview

With the AFC being dissected yesterday, it's time to take a look at the NFC in the NFASL now entering it's 7th season. The NFC had a commanding lead at the start of Madden 20, however with the AFC winning 4 of the last 6 Super Bowls that lead has been cut down to 3. That trend will look to be broken as the NFC was busy in the off-season by utilizing free agency, trades, and the Rookie Draft. With several big name coaches, with Championship pedigree struggling a season ago the bonus at the end of the Rainbow was colleges biggest names, going to these teams to be either used as trade pieces, or cornerstones to build franchises around for Years to come. With that said lets preview the Divisions.

NFC North:

  • Green Bay Packers 15-1 Headcoach spyversusspy (Division Winner)

The Green Bay Packers represented the NFC in Super Bowl XXXV and fell to the eventual champions the Baltimore Ravens by a score of 38-31. With a Team lead by 2 time, and back to back MVP Baker Mayfield they will be looking to be back in the big game again at seasons end. The Packers stood pat in the off-season as they have one of the Youngest teams in the NFL. that bodes well for them moving forward. The Packers go as their offense goes that features TE Evan Engram, and 2nd year stand out Jameson Williams. The North goes through Wisconsin, and their coach spyversusspy let's the league know it daily.

  • Minnesota Vikings 10-6 Headcoach Kevin_3447 (Wildcard)

The Minnesota Vikings made the playoffs a year ago, and represented themselves well when they were there. With Jerry Jeudy becoming one of the leagues best receivers the Love to Jeudy connection is one to be feared. In the Off-season they added Melvin Gordon III to replace Dalvin Cook opting to go for veteran leadership in the backfield before handing the ball over for good to D'Andre Swift. Their offense should among the leagues best, with Brevin Jordan working the middle of the field, occupying linebackers.

  • Detroit Lions 5-11 Headcoach Bondboyyy22

The Detroit Lions were 5-11 a year ago, and will be looking to get that record to at least 8-8 this year. With arguably the best young Quarterback in the Game Trevor Lawrence whose measurables are off the scale anything less would be considered a huge disapointment. With a receiving corp that consists of Julian Fleming, Michael Gallup, and T.J. Hockenson the Lions have enough firepower to battle it out with the best of them. They Drafted the 5'9 Jameson Sweat Cornerback out of Illinois with their first round pick, but being such dimunitive size he might be best suited playing the slot.

  • Chicago Bears 1-15 Headcoach Jady_Tru

I never thought I'd see the day that 4 time Super Bowl Champion Jady_Tru would begin a tank season, but live long enough, and you'll pretty much everything. The Bears were 1-15 on the season, and gave the Division to the Packers without so much as a snowballs resitance in July. That Tank Season garnered them the Leagues #1 Draft pick which they wheeled, and dealed to the San Francisco 49ers to garner one of the most fearsome Defensive lines in Leagues History. The Bosa brothers will be spear heading the Bears defense for several years to come with mission #1 wrecking havoc to Baker Mayfield, and the Green Bay Packers.

Commissioners Newmoons Predicition:

  1. Chicago Bears
  2. Green Bay Packers
  3. Minnesota Vikings
  4. Detroit Lions

NFC West:

  • Arizona Cardinals 11-5 Headcoach Maddenrox9 (Division Winner)

The Arizona Cardinals won the West last season with help from their generational talent running back Isaiah Spiller who was third in the league in rushing posting 2103 yards, and 24 touchdowns that squarely put him in the discussion for leagues MVP. The Cardinals went old school on the west opting for a strong run game, and Defense that saw Jadaveon Clowney, and Khalil Mack wreak havoc on opposing Quarterbacks. However Mack retired at the end of the season and Clowney is now in his 11th season. That means the secondary that consists of FS Jaylon Jones, aand Isaiah Simmons will have to step up and take on more of a leadership role .

  • Seattle Seahawks 11-5 Headcoach IcyyCA (Wildcard)

The Seattle Seahawks took a huge step last season garnering the Wildcard, and posting an 11 win season. They will be looking to take the next step as Taulia Tagovailoa wants to separate himself from his brother Tua. The Seahawks with DK Metcalf hauled in 74 catches, 1773 yards, and 15 touchdowns. Add in George Kittle, and Christian McCaffrey and you have nuclear firepower that overwhelms teams. That offense didn't come cheap however as their defense doesn't have many big name players in a division that has a ton of offensive talent.

  • Los Angeles Rams 4-12 Headcoach Dhontos

The Rams have easily the most talented team in the division, but somehow managed to end up with a 4-12 record. With a tactician of a coach in Dhontos, their record was nothing less than shocking. With their Number 1 pick they drafted 6'5" Center Michael Vinson to help their aging Offensive line. The Rams with the Highest rated team on the game should be back on top in the Division, as Jayden Daniels, John Emery Jr., Brandin Cooks, and Henry Ruggs III should not be able to be contained.

  • San Francisco 49ers 3-13 Headcoach Kaliko_420

The San Francisco 49ers were the busiest team in the off-season adding the Leagues #1 pick by trading Nick Bosa to the Bears for the #1 draft pick which they used to select RE Zee Money out of East Carolina. They also drafted Center Daniel Bracket out of Oregon, to give time to their developing Quarterback Claude Fitzpatrick. Claude Fitzpatrick also has a new toy as part of the deal to get the first round draft pick gave them speedster Rondale Moore whose speed can open up every aspect of the field.

Commissioners Newmoons Predicition:

  1. Los Angeles Rams
  2. Seattle Seahawks
  3. Arizona Cardinals
  4. San Francisco 49ers

NFC South:

  • New Orleans Sains 15-1 Headcoach EddieHendriix (Division Winner)

The New Orleans Saints were a few plays away from representing the NFC in Super Bowl XXXV but lost to the Equally as dangerous Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship game. Being so close to the promised land the Saints stood pat for the most part in the off-season. They did sign DeForest Buckner to replace the retired Future Hall of Famer Cameron Jordan. The Saints still have one of the leagues best secondaries that consists of Marshon Lattimore, and Asante Samuel Jr. so keeping that pressure up front can only help them on the back end.

  • Carolina Panthers 5-11 Headcoach Ronnie_Ransom

The Carolina Panthers Struggled last season, and saw the removal of their head coach for not taking proper care of his team. Enter Ronnie_Ransom back in the league for a second run, and hopefully this time he can stay. The Panthers had 102 million in free agent dollars in the off-season and spent it wisely. They brought in Minkak Fitzpatrick, Tyson Campbell, LG Josh Meyer, RG Hake Hansen, RG Tega Wanogho, RT Cole Van Lanen, and CB Jalen Perry. With a Haul like that and still 26 million in cap space the Panthers are building for now, and the Future.

  • Atlanta Falcons 5-11 Headcoach YoungPedialyte47

The Atlanta Falcons are lead by their brash headcoach Champagnepapi whose constant attacks on Commissioner of the league JD is truly legendary. However if he spent as much time on the practice field as he does creating memes these Falcons might actually make some noise. The Falcons have DeShaun Watson running the show in now his 8th year. Add that with Ezekiel Elliott, and Jaylen Waddle, Calvin Ridley, and A.J. Brown the Falcons have more than enough firepower to compete.

  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers 1-15 Headcoach S6ixRingY7

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a season of discontent finishing with a 1-15. That saw them bring in Coach s6ixRingY7 during the season, who subsequntly began a Tanking session for the best draft pick available. Those Picks turned into Washington teammates Wide Receiver Kendall Gatson, and running back Kerry O'Neal. Tanking season is over however, and now it's time to string some wins together. The Saints are the big dog on the porch in the Division so the Buccaneers at least know how far they have to go.

Commissioners Newmoons Predicition:

  1. New Orleans Saints
  2. Carolina Panthers
  3. Atlanta Falcons
  4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

NFC East:

  • Washington Redskins 11-5 Headcoach Newmoon001 (Division Winner)

The Washington Redskins won the Division a season ago with an 11-5 record but fell to the New Orleans Saints in the Conference round after dispatching the Seahawks in the Wildcard game. The Skins have arguably the best offensive line in the league, but they are draining the bank account leaving the Skins with very little wiggle room. Opting to sign their own players the Skins were not active in the off-season cutting both Landon Collins, and Jared Goff to make room for their up coming free agents. Look for this team to continue to lean on their run game that saw Derrius Guice post 1685 yards, and 18 touchdowns on the season.

  • Dallas Cowboys 9-7 Headcoach Raw_Diaw

The Dallas Cowboys switch in organizational strategy from tanking every season just might start to pay off as they were 9-7 on the season, narrowly missing the playoffs. With two of the best Young Defensive line-man Erin Cole Jr, and Chase Young the Cowboys should be feared no matter who they play in a passing league. On Offense they have Justin Herbert strong armed Quarterback with Speed at every position. That throw power should do them wonders as Anthony Schwatrz can take the top off of any defense. Add in Chris Tyree speedster coming out of the back field and you quickly realize you cannot cheat in any direction with this team.

  • New York Giants 9-7 Headcoach The-KiiD-Kenny

The New York Giants took a major step back missing the Playoffs, and coming in 3rd in the division as moving on from Daniel Dimes Jones may have been a mistake. The Switch to Jalen Hurts has been a failure so far, which allows teams to stack up on Saquon Barkley. Barkley still had a season for the record books as he posted 2170 yards, and 24 touchdowns. No small feat with everyone and their mother knowing the Giants are going to hand the ball off adnauseum to him. The Giants have arguably the best front four in the league that consists of Aaron Donald now in his 11th season, Rashan Gary, and Phillip Webb. Look for them to shift focus back to strong defense, and the run game.

  • Philadelphia Eagles 1-15 Headcoach Melblaze3521

The Philadelphia Eagles are lead by Coach Melblaze who had another season of misery as they finished 1-15. However a new slider change, and one of the best young receiver corps in the game as players bullish in the city of brotherly love. With the Retirment of Fletcher Cox the Eagles used their number 1 draft pick to draft Russ Long Defensive tackle out of Oklahoma. Carson Wentz is now in his 9th season, but has not progressed the way many thought he would. Wentz will be looking to turn his career around, or his time in Philadelphia may be coming to an end.

  1. Washington Redskins
  2. Dallas Cowboys
  3. Philadelphia Eagles
  4. New York Giants
